This guesthouse in Fenghuang Ancient Town is an amazing value! The location is superb, and the river-view room offers breathtaking scenery – open the window and you're greeted with the beautiful Tuojiang River. The night view is incredibly therapeutic. Tucked away in an alley of the ancient town, it's quiet and peaceful, yet super convenient for exploring Hongqiao Bridge and trying local delicacies. The room is well-equipped, and the cleanliness is impeccable. It was a fantastic experience overall!

__M1386233**** 2026.01.01
I chose this hotel on Ctrip, and it's quite typical, having the advantages of a guesthouse with a few minor flaws. First off, its location is excellent, very convenient for getting around (though Furong Ancient Town isn't very big to begin with). My room opened into a small courtyard, and from the window, I had a panoramic view of the Youyang River and its scenery. The owner was also very kind, offering transfers to and from the high-speed rail station. Breakfast was a bit lacking (typical for guesthouses), but the minced pork noodles the auntie made were quite tasty. The air conditioning's heating worked well, though it was slow to start up. When you leave and pull the card, the power cuts off, so it takes a while for it to kick back in when you return, and it's a bit noisy. The shower's hot and cold water control wasn't very precise; a slight turn made it scalding, and a bit more made it cold. Overall, this guesthouse is very good. It's clean, and the room's bedding had no strange smells whatsoever. The facilities have a few minor imperfections, but they don't affect the overall stay experience. I would choose it again on my next visit.

Overall, it was good for me. The room type that we chose is just standard for us. The lady from the front office actually recommended that we can upgrade the room as we brought 4 big pieces of luggage, but we were okay with the one we booked. If you arrived earlier, you can actually store your luggage in the hotel earlier. I don’t have the picture of the place and my room, but I guess this is a refurbished apartment that has been turned into a hotel/inn. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes right below the apartment. The food and drinks here are delicious and nice. The lady from the front office was friendly too!

We brought our family to Changsha and booked a standard twin room. The owner saw that we had a bigger group, two adults and two kids, and kindly upgraded us to a cinema family room for free! The experience truly exceeded our expectations, so I absolutely have to give it a five-star review! For families with children, location is key. This hotel is incredibly close to Changsha South Station. It was just a ten-minute walk after getting off the high-speed train, completely saving us the hassle of lugging kids and luggage around. It really got our trip off to a great start. What surprised us the most was the family twin room! The room was genuinely spacious, with a king-sized bed (1.8m) and a standard double bed (1.4m). The kids were rolling around on them, and both beds were more than big enough. We could even watch movies, and the kids were ecstatic the moment they walked in. More importantly, the ample space gave the children room to play, and we could fully unpack our adult luggage without feeling cramped at all. This sense of freedom is so crucial for family travel. Considering the room conditions and convenient location, the value for money is absolutely fantastic! The hotel's overall environment is also excellent – the lobby is bright, the hallways are quiet, and the rooms are spotless. Our entire family was extremely satisfied with this stay. It's definitely a top choice for family trips to Changsha, and we'll certainly be returning next time!

10/10 Recommend! Lovely place to stay! Big, spacious and clean! It is just beside the river and at a quieter place. Perfect for light sleepers. It’s also near to the train station. The boss is so warm and nice. He picked us up from the train station, but do arrange with them via Trip/Wechat. He helped with all the luggages and introduced us the place. A big shoutout to him for sending us back to the train station because we had too many big luggages and he was afraid that no cab would pick us up in time. Breakfast provided which was healthy and lady said could refill! Free MiaoZu costume (can try but advice to go to other stores that are cheaper if you would like to take many photos done by professionals)

Our experience at this hotel could not have been better. Throughout our entire stay, Xiao Yang took great care of us and helped us with absolutely everything, even assisting us with purchasing tickets and answering any questions we had. She is truly an angel. The rooms are very beautiful and comfortable, and the location is excellent, both for getting to the airport and for visiting the Avatar Park. The breakfast is delicious; we especially recommend the meat bao and the Zhangjiajie noodles.

I had a very comfortable stay, the owner lady was very friendly and helpful! She upgraded my room from a windowless room to a room with windows, so I can have a nice view of the city and helped me with directions of the city. There were some obvious cosmetics degeneration, but nothing that prevented me from enjoying my stay, plus it was a great value for the price I paid. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family stayed 2 adult and 2 children in their 5th floor room. Spacious with great view of the river and part of the ancient town. Area is not noisy and far from clubs and bars from the other side of the town. Walking distance from main attraction. Room is clean and tidy with great water pressure. Our host is very friendly and accommodating and made us feel at home. They provide 1 set of traditional costume and you can rent costumes for the rest of the family with minimal charge. It became one of the highlights of our trip. They even helped us get taxi back to the highspeed rail. I definitely recommend this homestay. 😊

Had a fantastic stay! The front desk staff, especially one of the ladies, was incredibly thoughtful. During check-in, she spent a minute explaining the Tianmen Mountain tour routes and even sent a detailed map to my phone, which was super convenient for reference while exploring. After coming back from the tour, they offered ginger tea, porridge, cookies, and even a foot bath kit. The breakfast was also great, with Chinese, Western, and even special low-fat options. We tried their signature 'WaWa Gao' (a local pastry) and local rice noodles, both delicious. The hotel's location is excellent, right across from the Tianmen Mountain cable car. It's only a 7-minute walk from Zhangjiajie Station to the hotel. Yes, you read that right, a walk! It's incredibly close. There are also many restaurants around the hotel, making it very convenient! If you're coming to Tianmen Mountain, definitely stay at Hampton by Hilton!

The room was clean, simple, comfortable, and quiet, with full amenities, including a washing machine with a drying function, perfect for solo travelers. Although on a middle floor, the window offered an unobstructed view. It's close to the subway station, making travel convenient, and daily life is easy with restaurants and a convenience store right downstairs. Overall, the service was prompt and efficient. It's a hotel with excellent value for money, definitely worth rebooking and recommending.

GGuest UserI really liked the hotel. The hotel arranged a transfer from the train station to the hotel and back, and it also took us to the main attractions. The staff was very helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. The receptionist spoke English and assisted us in purchasing tickets for the Avatar Mountains, the Grand Canyon, and the cave. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We also had a free tea ceremony with four different teas from China. After the ceremony, we were able to purchase the tea we liked. The breakfasts were good, and even a Russian person could find something to eat. The hotel grounds are a separate aesthetic pleasure, especially in the evening when the steam is turned on. There is also a very beautiful view of the mountains from the room window.

AAnonymous UserI booked this hotel because of its advertised location 50 meters from the subway station, but it turned out to be over 500 meters from the station, all along construction-affected roads, and it was incredibly hot and sunny. There was a large construction site behind the hotel, and the windows couldn't be closed. It's just too new and nothing is fully completed yet. None of my Ctrip benefits were recognized – no breakfast, room upgrade, late check-out, fruit, or snacks. It felt like I couldn't stay there unless I booked through Huazhu. The problem is, even the early booking discount for gold members wasn't as good as the Ctrip price.

EE25063****Traveling to Changsha with my child, we checked in late at night. When I was looking for hotels, I found this one had a great location and wasn't expensive, but there were quite a few negative reviews, which made me a bit hesitant. So, I decided to book just one night to try it out. Regarding the room: I booked an exotic-themed room. There were many country-specific styles to choose from, which was a huge draw for my child. We ended up picking the Aegean Sea style. Upon entering, I found the room's decor and details to be very authentic and true to the pictures. My child was super excited, taking photos and sending them to classmates. At my child's request, we booked another night here the next day, but switched to a different themed room. Regarding the facilities: It's true, as some reviews mentioned, the elevators are a bit old, and one of them makes a slight noise. Since it's a high-rise building, waiting times for the four elevators can be a bit long. However, we were out late and came back late, so it didn't really affect us. Regarding the view: The room I booked did offer a direct river view, but you look at the river through the window (which can only be opened slightly for ventilation), so it's a little blurry. Regarding noise: Since the hotel is along the street, there is some noise. But perhaps because we were on a high floor (we stayed on the 21st floor), or because we're not very sensitive to noise, we weren't really bothered by it. Specifically, we arrived at the hotel between 11 PM and midnight on both nights and woke up naturally around 10 AM the next day. We weren't woken up by noise at all during this time. However, on the second night, we forgot to close the window before going to bed, and in the morning, we could hear someone playing music downstairs. Regarding the location: This is a no-brainer. The Xiang River is right across the street, the subway station is next door, and it's just a short walk to Taiping Street, Pozi Street, and other places. Extremely convenient.

EEduarda Carvalho[Parks info below] I'm glad that I checked out this hostel, good value for money. Room was nice and tidy, lots of electricity sources in bed and common area, curtains, hot shower. I shared the 6 beds dorm with just another girl, and you make your own bed. No toilet paper, no free water refill, no light in bed. It's worth the price. If you extend your stay directly in the hostel it's cheaper than the app. The reception area is more cramped but you can socialize there. Most of the people are Chinese but I also met some foreigners. The guy in the reception speaks English and can give you information, in addition to that I recommend you to do your own research. There are two baby cats playing around, and an adult one. You can get to the hostel from the west railway station by bus line 17 for 2 yuan - last bus at 8:40pm + 15 minutes walk. Location is close to the main avenue where there's a lot of restaurants, and a 24-hour convenience store close to the corner with this same avenue. There are two night markets in the city, one on the avenue like 10 min distance walking to downtown direction, more local, and another one on the street in front of the tianmen mountain cable car, more touristy. The hostel is 15 minutes walking to the central bus station where you can get the bus to zhangjiajie park and 15-20 to the tianmen mountain cable car station. [ATTRACTIONS] Zhangjiajie (avatar), tianmen (heaven's gate) and canyon (glass bridge) are 3 different parks in different locations. The entrance to zhangjiajie gives you access for 4 days. I went the 4 days and enjoyed it very properly. If you're short on time, 2 days will do, but plan it wisely based on your priorities. Gates are 1 hour trip distance from the central bus station - 1h30 at weekends. Also, note that before entering the park with passport and face scan, you need to do an APPOINTMENT for that hour. You usually do it there at the gate, but for a saturday all appointments for that hour were sold out in advance and I had to wait for 45 minutes to go in. Recommended to check in advance especially on weekends. There are 2 types of tickets you can get: including all cable cars and elevator for unlimited time for 450 yuan; or just the entrance (including only free shuttles) for 215 yuan - you still have the option of buying each transport at the park (75 yuan cablecar one-way, 65 elevator one-way). At first, I had understood that to see the avatar mountains, the ONLY way was through the elevator, so I bought the all-inclusive. Turns out you CAN go by free shuttle + hike + free shuttle if you start in the east gate. My favorite part was the huangshi village. For tianmen, the entrance is 260 yuan. Choose the route in advance because some sell out fast. Gold advice: go at least one hour or more BEFORE the hour that you have the tickets for. The hour of your ticket just matters before the very last point before boarding the cable car. The line was MASSIVE and it took me 2h30 waiting on a Monday - ended up getting in 2 hours late than my ticket time and couldn't finish the whole loop: took only the red trail and went down to the heaven's gate. About the Canyon, I can't say much because I decided to skip it and save the 210 yuan ticket - note that this price DOESN'T include the activities, you must pay separately. The package that includes almost* everything is 360 yuan. Last but not least, if you go to the 72 Wonders, there's also an entrance of 88 yuan. You can go/come back with the bus 17 - same line that serves to the west railway station, last bus 8:40pm.

CCharuka⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Truly the Best Stay in Wulingyuan! As a solo traveler, this stay took my trip to another level! A special thanks to the owner, who supported me from the moment I arrived. This is honestly the best place I’ve stayed so far. She helped me with everything—from booking tickets to planning my entire trip. With her proper guidance, I managed to explore all the main attractions within my limited time. Without her help, it would’ve been hard to organize everything so smoothly. I highly recommend booking your tickets directly through the hotel. She arranged my entrance ticket and an unlimited cable car pass at an affordable price, which also saved a lot of time. I didn’t have to wait in long lines—just a quick face scan and everything worked perfectly! Whenever I had a question or small problem, she was always available on text with quick and helpful suggestions. The place itself is affordable, clean, and very comfortable. If you’re visiting Wulingyuan, this place will definitely make your stay easier, happier, and stress-free. Highly recommend it!

LLyndsey99Our stay here was perfect, what an amazing place! The staff are exceptional, and really care about guest experience. They provide transport to and from the east gate of the national park, and will help you plan your day. The service was perfect even down to the small details, like putting mosquito repellent out on the table we liked to play cards at, and providing us with a printed photo of our favourite memory there to take away with us. The room was great, the views were breathtaking. After a long day at the park, we really appreciated having a small swimming pool there for a dip. Food options were good - we enjoyed our dinners and the breakfast buffet. Orders can be placed in advance on WeChat when you are on your way back from a day at the park. There was a decent range of both soft and alcoholic drinks available. What we loved the most is that they have struck the perfect balance between luxury and a kind of homely comfort. We felt so relaxed here. An added bonus for us was their friendly dogs and cat, as we were starting to miss our own dogs at home by this point of our trip. The location was fantastic. It is close to the national park, but the views are so good that if you choose to relax at the hotel you won’t miss anything. If our room wasn’t booked for the following days, we would have extended our stay. One of our favourite places we have ever stayed, not just in China. Thank you to everyone at Celestial Vally for an excellent stay!

AAnonymous UserThe room was impeccably clean, and the bedding was soft and odorless. The soundproofing was excellent; at night, all I could hear was the wind outside. The front desk staff was incredibly thoughtful, preparing mosquito repellent and makeup remover pads in advance. She also shared some off-the-beaten-path routes to avoid crowds. The complimentary goodnight dessert in the evening was fantastic, and they even offered room delivery. The location is also very convenient, within walking distance to the subway, making it easy to get anywhere, and there are many authentic local eateries nearby. The value for money is absolutely amazing! I've already recommended it to my best friend, and I'll definitely stay here again next time! [Midnight Stomach Nourishing Group] Goodnight porridge: Delicious! Facilities: The smart home system was super convenient, highly recommend!

AAnonymous UserChoosing this hotel for my Zhangjiajie trip was incredibly worthwhile! The room was impeccably clean, the bedding was soft and odorless, and there wasn't a speck of dust in any corner—it was truly comfortable. The most delightful surprise was the view outside the window: rolling green mountains right at my doorstep, and the sunset glow in the evening was absolutely stunning. The orange-red afterglow cast over the mountains was so romantic, I couldn't tear my eyes away. The free airport shuttle service was a lifesaver for first-time visitors to Zhangjiajie! As soon as I exited the airport, I saw the staff waiting, and I didn't have to worry about directions at all; they took me directly to the hotel. It was convenient and thoughtful. The hotel's location is also very handy, and the staff were patient in answering all my questions about subsequent travel plans. My experience was fantastic. From cleanliness to the views and service, everything was top-notch. Thumbs up!

YYazeed Zolkifli⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My recent stay at XiFuWan Resort Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the warm greeting from the owner made us feel right at home. The owners, a genuinely kind husband and wife duo, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable and comfortable. Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a lovely basket of fresh fruits—a thoughtful touch that truly reflected their generosity. They even went the extra mile by creating a WeChat group labeled ”VIP” to keep us updated on local attractions and assist us during our stay, which added a personalized touch to the experience. The owners were particularly helpful in arranging tickets for the mountains and the famed Bailong Elevator, making our adventures seamless. They provided complimentary pick-up and drop-off service to the east gate of the mountain, which was incredibly convenient. During our stay, my mother experienced some abdominal pain, and the compassion demonstrated by the owners was heartwarming. The husband personally took us to the hospital and assisted us through every step of the process, ensuring my mother was taken care of from A to Z. There, we experience what visiting a hospital in China is like. Its very fast and convenient. Location-wise, XiFuWan Resort Hotel is perfectly situated in the bustling city center, surrounded by an array of conveniences including HeyTea, cyber cafés, supermarkets, and even a hospital nearby. It’s the ideal spot for anyone looking to explore the area without sacrificing comfort or service. Not to mention, there is also a halal restaurant nearby, ideal for muslim guests. The service we received at XiFuWan Resort Hotel exceeded our expectations, giving us an experience worthy of more than just five stars. If you're looking for a warm, welcoming stay in a prime location, look no further than XiFuWan Resort Hotel. Thank you to the wonderful owners for making our trip unforgettable!

The whole house smart provides an efficient and convenient environment, and the high-speed network allows me to handle work at any time. Take a walk to the Wulingyuan Marking Gate to relax your mind and body during the work break, exercise at the well-equipped gym in the evening, and the three lovely cats are also good companions to relieve stress.
