Haiyou Hotel is truly a hidden gem among budget hotels! The price is affordable, but the experience is incredibly good value. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable – it completely exceeded my expectations. For travelers on a budget who still want quality, this is definitely a top choice! The front desk staff was so warm and helpful! She proactively upgraded my room and even provided detailed information on local eateries and transportation routes. Any requests I had during my stay were addressed incredibly quickly, making me feel right at home.

I got upgraded to a Deluxe Supreme room for my business trip. The room was very spacious, perfect for a family of three, and even had a bathtub. My child loved soaking in it after playing outside all day. However, the stone base in the shower stall was damaged, which was a bit of a letdown. Overall, I was satisfied with the room's facilities; it was comfortable for sleeping and didn't feel stuffy. As for the service, it's not comparable to HUAZHU Group hotels. The breakfast was a bit of a 'fake fancy' affair; while it looked like there was a variety, aside from the freshly cooked noodles and vermicelli, the quality of everything else was very mediocre. Things like cakes, bread, and pan-fried dumplings were all pretty standard. So, don't set your expectations too high for breakfast, and it's definitely not worth paying extra for.

The hotel is on the mountain, overlooking Qinghai Lake, but the altitude is high, close to 3,400 meters, and tourists who have just come to Xining will have altitude sickness. The room decoration style is simple and the facilities are relatively new, but the pillows are too soft and collapsed, two are too high, and one is too short. The preferred sea view room is on the lowest floor, as shown in Figure 3. You can't see the sea view outside the window. There is soil and concrete in the near distance, and the distance is blocked by the plank road. The most important thing is that the hotel has almost no effective measures for guests with altitude sickness. The oxygen supply in the room is broken. The oxygen tank costs 50 yuan each in the hotel (25 yuan each in the town). There is no glucose, and there are no drinks with sugar. The unmanned supermarket in the hotel is very expensive. A bottle of ordinary beverage costs more than ten yuan, and there are few categories. The breakfast variety is relatively rich, but the taste is average. For a hotel stay experience of nearly 800 per night, I think it is not worth it. It is recommended that travelers who have altitude sickness go to the town to buy oxygen tanks and glucose first. In Guanhu Convenience Store, oxygen tanks are 25 yuan each and glucose is 5 yuan a bottle. Otherwise, they will be like us, unable to sleep all night, dizzy and vomiting, which is too uncomfortable.

We started our final China trip form Ürümqi followed by Turpin and Dunhuang. While our hotels there were reasonable, we felt really comfortable when we stayed at at a Club floor room at Sofitel Xining. Their service was one of the best we have experienced during our seven China trips so far. We enjoyed the comfort and the staff’s dedicated service. Thank you.

Sally is so great. She even loan us a wal power adapter we badly need it. She and her friendly hotal staffs arranged a courtesy shuttle to train station. Wow! buffet breafast was the widest variety we have ever seen! we don't need a lunch! i will definitely recommend this hotel in my Los angeles based Burmese newspapers serving rapidly growing Burmese community for sure.

It is very close to the Chaka Salt Lake Scenic Area and you can reach it quickly after getting off the highway. Parking is very convenient and there are many restaurants nearby. The room is large and the decoration is simple and elegant. Breakfast was also provided, with a limited variety, which suited my taste very well.

The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive, offering helpful recommendations for dining and local attractions based on our requests. I booked this stay using one of Ctrip's prepaid room packages, which was excellent value and very convenient to arrange. The room itself was very spacious and included a mini-fridge (though you need to plug it in yourself to activate it). Despite being on the 21st floor, the shower had fantastic pressure and easily adjustable temperature, making for a very comfortable experience. The bedding was also quite comfortable, though I did notice some visible dust on the decorative pillow. The soundproofing was decent, but the room door was quite heavy, leading to a rather loud thud when closed. On the positive side, the view from the room was excellent. The hotel offers a well-maintained self-service laundry room with three washers and three dryers, as well as a well-equipped gym. Perhaps due to the high altitude, the gym was rarely busy. Both facilities require key card access and are conveniently located on the 11th floor, alongside the conference rooms. The hotel's location is superb. There's a small park nearby, which hosts a lively morning market, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Ganzhangwa Restaurant is directly opposite, and Mojia Street isn't far either, making it easy to explore local food and culture. Breakfast is served on the second floor. The dining area is quite large, and there's an extensive selection of dishes to choose from. Entry requires swiping your room card, and the service staff were prompt in clearing tables. Overall, I had a very positive experience during my stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Xining.

The room is well-equipped and warm, and the sanitary conditions are also very good, especially the breakfast in the western restaurant on the first floor, which has many varieties and choices. The children enjoyed the meal very much. The service of the lady at the front desk was particularly warm and polite during check-in and check-out.

Room was spacious but somewhat worn, with minor stained bedding, dingy shower floor and a very old water kettle. Location was excellent, very central in an older part of city, though a bit noisy with traffic. Hotel has washing machines but no dryer, which i was not told at check-in even though i asked specifically about them. Most of the staff seemed distant. Breakfast was quite good.

There was a girl at the front desk who was really friendly. I saw her name on her ID card was Vita. She was not the kind of distant and polite staff, but really stood from our perspective to handle all problems for us. Because our mobile phone was not a mainland card and could not connect to WIFI, she studied it for a while and helped us connect successfully. When we checked in, she told us that the climate here was dry, and the room notified us to add more water. When we went downstairs to go out and asked her for information about the surrounding areas, she personally helped us show us the way and called a taxi for us. She also told us that there is a big temperature difference between morning and night in Xining, and we need to add more clothes when going out in the morning and evening. The places recommended to us are delicious and affordable. There is really no formatted feeling of staying in a hotel, just like the feeling of a child at home helping you arrange things. The only regret is that we didn't meet her again when we checked out, otherwise we should thank her in person.
