great location. walking distance to center. lots of restaurants and shopping around.
the only thing is the hotel elevator is outside the door not inside hotel.
I did not like when the front desk lady urged me to give 5 stars as review by giving me small souvenir.
I want to give honest review because I rely on the reviews on trip.com for my hotel choices
this hotel is good bargain.

Facilities: So-so. There's an indoor staircase I've never seen before, it looks just like a basement. WiFi and 5G signals are poor.
Cleanliness: Average.
Environment: Convenient for dining nearby, very close to Chunxi Road.
Service: Decent.
Overall, it's acceptable.

I stayed here for three nights and honestly didn’t want to leave. From the moment I walked in, the vibe felt calm, modern, and tucked away, exactly what you want from a boutique stay in the middle of Chengdu.
What I loved most was the view, especially at night. Watching the city lights reflect off the river felt like having my own private slice of Chengdu. It’s the kind of view that makes you pause, breathe, and realize you’re somewhere special.
The room itself was cozy, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. The little touches made the stay feel more personal, way better than the big chains. I only wished my room had a heated toilet seat, which I have grown accustomed to at other hotels in China.
And the location? Perfect. Taikoo Li, Hejiangting, and all the fun areas were within easy reach, but the hotel still felt peaceful and hidden away from the noise.
If you want a stay that gives you comfort, aesthetics, privacy, and beautiful nighttime views, The Hidden House is an easy yes. I would absolutely stay here again.

It's pretty good. It's close to the airport and offers shuttle service, which is a plus.
Tianfu International Airport shuttle service: The airport shuttle is convenient.
Extended 3-day parking after check-out: I didn't drive.
Soundproof earplugs: They provided earplugs, which helped a lot, otherwise it would have been a bit noisy. Luckily, I could get them.

The room is very spacious, and the location is excellent, right next to Lushan Mountain, perfect for a hike. There are plenty of food options nearby, and you can also order takeout. I heard the guesthouse offers shared meals, but I didn't participate. The atmosphere was quite nice, with lots of chatting and laughter. There's a pool table on the third floor, but no one to play with me! 😂 Downstairs, there's a very cute blue cat. When I came back from Silver Beach in the afternoon, it was all alone, so I petted it, and it immediately became very friendly. When I sat down, it came closer and rubbed against me. ☺️ It even jumped onto the table and nuzzled my shoulder! 😀

Coming to Chengdu Chunxi Road for some shopping and dining, choosing this Mercure hotel was absolutely the right decision! As soon as we stepped through the hotel entrance, a staff member handed us a warm cup of herbal tea, instantly dispelling the fatigue from shopping. The front desk lady was not only warm and attentive, but she also proactively added us on WeChat and shared an incredibly detailed guide to Chunxi Road's shopping and dining spots, even clearly marking which hot pot restaurants didn't have a wait. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was so soft it made us fall asleep in an instant. The free laundry and drying service was a lifesaver for our short trip; no more carrying around dirty clothes! The afternoon tea every day was the highlight – we even got to enjoy Häagen-Dazs ice cream, filling us with sweet happiness. To get this kind of service at this price point, the value for money is just incredible. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chengdu!

We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple but very good. The chef especially was very nice and feed us nicely. The rooms are bright and quiet. There’s a balcony where you can rest and relax with a cup of Chinese tea. Location is good, you can walk to the metro within minutes and there are plenty of options for food. Overall we are very happy with the stay. Highly recommended.

I came to Chengdu for a trip and looked at several hotels online before deciding to stay here. The room was pretty good and spacious. The staff provided excellent service, always willing to help. The Roselle tea was delicious, and the service was very attentive. They offer afternoon tea and late-night snacks. The location is superb, right in the city center, within the Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li commercial district. There are many great restaurants and attractions nearby. It's very close to People's Park, and being in the city center makes it convenient to go anywhere. You can reach Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street by simply crossing an overpass. I highly recommend staying here.

NNoah Keenan Lee WeiIt‘s clean and simple, but has everything you need. The location is not the best, but the price is. Just bare in mind that nobody there speaks English and the owner kept speaking to me in Chinese, even tho it has been clear for days that I don’t understand here and she did not try to use a translating app herself… as long as that mental state doesn’t deter you and you’re on a budget this is one of the better options. Also the whole place doesn’t get locked, if you’re worried about that don’t come here as theoretically anyone from outside can get to your room

GGuest UserAmazing customer service proficient in Chinese and English! Upgraded our single rooms to double room for free and was welcoming for a late 1am check-in time. Very clean and modern rooms with a delicious breakfast buffet. Staff willing to make coffee for us each morning, free umbrellas, a small garden courtyard to wind down, probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in for this price range! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the city but away from busy streets, tucked in near a temple and side street eateries yet only a 10 min taxi to popular attractions. One flaw:
No designated car park for taxi. Have to walk 20 metres to a side street, not a big deal but please be aware as it might be hard to find. There is a sign but we didn’t notice at 1am haha. You’re in the right street if you see this entrance ->

MM510074****Absolutely loved this hotel! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt so comfortable – the decor is simple yet inviting. The room was impeccably clean, with great attention to detail, and the toiletries were high quality. The staff were all so gentle and patient, which made the experience perfect. The location is also fantastic, with plenty of amenities nearby, and I felt very safe returning at night. It was such a pleasant and reassuring stay, definitely worth coming back to again and again!
GGuest UserWe traveled as a group of three and chose the two-story bedroom. The location was very convenient — from Chengdu, we got off at Lidui Park Station, which is connected to the famous Bear Selfie spot. As soon as you exit the station, you’ll see the building shown in the photo, and the accommodation is on the 2nd floor of that building.
The staff were very friendly and provided great service. The only small downside is that there is no elevator, so we had to walk up to the room. However, the staff kindly helped us carry our luggage, which we really appreciated.
Upon check-out, we also received a small souvenir from the accommodation. If we have the chance to return, we would definitely stay here again. The surrounding area is very convenient as well, with restaurants, clothing shops, and convenience stores all nearby.
MMengmei and PeteWhat a wonderful hotel! We had a great time staying here, exploring this amazing part of Sichuan Province. The hotel itself was excellent - well situated, clean, with tasty breakfasts and lots of thoughtful touches. However, what really made the stay exceptional was the staff. Our hosts were very kind and thoughtful through out, gave us valuable advice, and helped organise transport to the various parks nearby (often driving us themselves). Nothing was too much trouble.
I would recommend this region in general and this hotel in particular to anyone looking for a great outdoor holiday!

MM225837****This hotel in Vienna was recommended by friends who had traveled here before, so I didn't look at any other options. The service was absolutely top-notch, couldn't fault it. However, the room's facilities weren't great; the air conditioning wasn't working, and even after someone came to fix it in the middle of the night, it still didn't get resolved. The staff were very accommodating though, actively communicating and arranging a room change, which solved the issue the next day. Breakfast offered a decent variety. Dinner was à la carte, and the braised yak beef was delicious. There's a shuttle service to the entrance of the gorge, and the hotel helps arrange transportation to the high-speed rail station, which was quite convenient.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is absolutely perfect. It's within walking distance of Kuanzhai Alley, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. It was quiet at night, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. Transportation is also very convenient, with plenty of bus and subway options nearby, making it super easy to get around.
The room features a vibrant and cozy orange theme, which is great for photos. It's well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western dishes, all made with fresh ingredients, a great way to start your day energized. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chengdu, highly recommended!

MM2gljbfvl****The environment and facilities are top-notch:
The lobby is bright and grand, and the rooms are newly renovated, looking clean and comfortable.
The mattress is just the right firmness; I slept soundly until morning.
The bathroom has great water pressure and hot water comes quickly, and the toiletries are also good.
The service is incredibly thoughtful:
The front desk staff are super friendly and always willing to answer questions.
If you have any issues, they'll help you solve them right away.
Most importantly, it's clean:
There are no strange smells when you enter the room, and everything is bright and spotless.
Even the dead corners of the bathroom are wiped clean, so you don't mind walking barefoot.
All in all, it's a place where you feel like your money was well spent, and you can stay with peace of mind and no worries. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the area and will recommend it to friends!
