"## Facilities: I was quite hesitant at first because I read there was no air conditioning, and I heard Europe was particularly hot this year. However, the price was quite appealing (you get what you pay for, I guess). But in September, the weather was actually fine (around ten degrees Celsius at night, a bit chilly), so I ended up booking it. The overall facilities are a bit old, but they seem relatively clean. Being next to the street, the soundproofing was poor. Police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and sports cars and motorcycles whizzed by frequently at night. I wanted to change rooms, but the front desk checked and said there were no rooms available. The hotel provided earplugs, which was a thoughtful touch. What was a bit odd was the bathroom. The shower area had no door or curtain. Even with extreme care, water would still splash out when showering. And the faucet was on the opposite side of the showerhead... What kind of design is that? ## Service: Someone came to clean every day. I don't know why trash cans abroad don't come with trash bags... Do you just throw garbage directly into the bin, or do they assume guests will have their own trash bags? Filtered water was available downstairs. At first, I didn't know how to use it and struggled to get water. Later, a staff member saw me struggling and told me I could cover the black circle at the back with my hand. ## Environment: The hotel's location is pretty good. It's within walking distance of the British Museum. Chinatown is about a twenty-minute walk, and King's Cross or Euston transportation hubs are about fifteen minutes' walk. There's a bus stop right outside. The Piccadilly Line (dark blue line) is nearby, which is convenient for places like Hyde Park. However, during my five-day stay there, this line had severe delays on at least two days... Luckily, I didn't use this line much. London buses are quite unreliable. Given the price and environment, I won't complain much about it in the UK."

"This was the first hotel for our family's UK trip. After much deliberation, we chose this Holiday Inn Express which is quite close to the city center. The location is excellent, with easy access to the subway, buses, and trains. The hotel maintained the consistent quality of the Holiday Inn brand. We were also lucky enough to snag a group deal that included parking and some meals. A special thank you goes to Christina, a kind and patient lady who speaks Chinese. Due to the high demand for rooms on the weekend and our first-time use of a Ctrip hotel group coupon, the check-in process was a bit convoluted, but the final outcome was very satisfying. Our family left London happily to begin the next leg of our journey. BTW, we encountered many odd Indian guests; whether it was in the cramped elevator or at the popular breakfast buffet, they all exuded a strange confidence, as if they owned the place. I wonder who gave them that idea 🤔🤔🤔"

"We were in London to see The Lion King and had a room on the 5th floor with lovely views. The Lyceum Theatre is about one minute walk away! Making this hotel the best one to use if you’re going to the theatre too. I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user which means so long as there’s a lift and step free access I can use any room. As we were staying overnight we wouldn’t be showering so I didn’t need an accessible bathroom. (Don’t worry, there are accessible rooms to use should that be your requirement.) The room and bedding were clean. The complimentary mini bar was a nice touch! As was the slippers and robes. The only negative was that we’d booked for 3 people but the room only catered for two. Teo robes, 2 pairs of slippers. Two waters, 2 colas, no bedding and pillows for the fold out bed that the 3rd person would be using. I did check the wardrobe where you’d usually find the extra bedding but there wasn’t any in there. I did use the in room telephone to call reception and they sent a duvet up but no pillow. By now we were too exhausted to be calling back and just made do with what we had. My wrap folded, made for a makeshift comforter on one of the very firm sofa cushions.. Overall we had a really good time. The TWO refillable water bottles were and water stations within the hotel were excellent! Oh and we had pizza and fries from room service Excellent quality food! All staff I spoke to were polite and efficient! Very much recommended! (The photo shows where I plugged in my Quickie Q500m to charge overnight. And my boys enjoying the chocolate, fudge and biscuits!)"

"I had an excellent stay at Holiday in London Hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the location was ideal for exploring the city. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast served every morning. There was a great selection of fresh, tasty food, and it was the perfect way to start each day. A special thank you to Sultana, who was an amazing host. She was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help. Her outstanding hospitality and genuine care made my stay even more enjoyable. The customer service throughout the hotel was exceptional—friendly, professional, and always delivered with a smile. "This hotel was quite average. The room was small, and parking was expensive. The sign stated £32 for 12 hours, but they charged £35 for an overnight stay (12h), which wasn't clearly stated in their policy – very annoying. It was old and not very clean, but since we needed a sofa bed for our family of three, there weren't many other options nearby, so we stayed two nights. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it covered the essentials like bread, butter, milk, and a full English."

"Me and my partner stayed here for 7 nights in the standard double room with a Tower Bridge view. Wow we were absolutely thrilled with this hotel. The view was like nothing else and the location couldn’t have been better. I actually didn’t realise it was right at the Tower Bridge, it was so special staying right there. It has an amazing restaurant / bar open late and had such a fun atmosphere. The breakfast was amazing and the hotel was super cool. We loved that there was food trucks just out side the hotel and a grocery store around the corner opened until late which also sold alcohol. We did have a few problems with our room and the staff were super helpful and accommodating and made sure we were happy. The rooms were a little run down but I personally feel it’s worth it. Our biggest problem was the ac not working in the heatwave but they were able to change our rooms and provide portable fans and aircons. What you get for the price is a bargain and we were so happy to sacrifice the room not being luxury for the view and location."

"All their rooms are basically the same, very good design well thought out with the user at the heart. I would genuinely happily live in an apartment of a similiar size as the design is so clever. Really easy temperature and fan control too which can be a nightmare at other hotels. 1) didnt know how to drain the sink completely of water 2) the gym is meh but the view makes up for it! Mostly cardio-oriented like most hotel gyms but is above average for a typical hotel gym i would say. Would stay here for business again as the location is great."
