I recently had an incredible night at Cabra Castle. After attending a wedding there and being thoroughly impressed, I decided to treat my sister and her husband to a night at the castle for her 40th birthday. My husband and I also booked a last-minute surprise stay. The staff was truly exceptional and went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. I want to give a big shout out to Shauna, Rachel, Paula, Margaret, Brenda, and the entire team for their outstanding hospitality! - Sarah

Stayed in the Slieve Russel recently, had a shower the following morning . I ran the shower for a minute and couldn’t get the temperature right as it was going from hot to cold , but that didn’t bother me too much. Next thing I noticed a vile smell in the room and I said it to my partner to see if I was imagining things but he could get it too bear in mind I was after having a shower and brought my own shampoo conditioner etc with me. Went down for breakfast and then came back up to the room to get our stuff to check out only to notice the smell still in the room. Upon checkout I mentioned it to the lady in reception that there was a smell in the room and nothing further was said. On the way home I took my hair out of the bun only to notice the smell was in my hair too, I almost got sick , I went home and asked my family if they could get the smell in my hair and their exact words were “it smells of sewage” I quickly had another shower at home trying to clean myself as I felt absolutely disgusting, the smell lingered in my hair after my second shower! Not to mention I had to get my hair cut in the hairdressers as what ever was in the water destroyed my hair! I have been in contact with the hotel and they are denying anything is wrong with their water but I can assure you it is absolutely disgusting, they also mentioned it is safe and clean for consumption , I certainly wouldn’t like to be drinking the water not to mention they are more than likely cooking the food in that water too! I would hate for anyone else to experience this and not to be shown any remorse for it, it is totally unacceptable for a four star hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel. So many aspects to enjoy; Autumnal Cavan, with great Colour and lovely views. The hotel has several different walks, for all ages, on the grounds. A magnificent golf course. Modern rooms. Three eating areas. The Cedar rooms is our favourite (Thanks Yessine and Naima for your kindness, and expertise). Breakfast is a treat (thank you especially to Laura and Mary but all the staff are lovely). Swimming and spa area is fabulous. And lots lots more! We will be back! Special thanks to the Guest relations Manager, Bridie, for looking after us so very well.

We had our wedding in the Kilmore Hotel in September and we could not recommend them highly enough. The staff went above and beyond in every way so we didn't have to worry about a thing, the food was exceptional (as always) and we are so so glad that we chose there as our wedding venue. Paul, Cora, Gemma and the whole team were so helpful, friendly and really put us at ease at every stage to make sure we could relax and enjoy our day. The bedrooms were spotless and comfortable and the grounds were perfect for our photographs too. The feedback we have had from our wedding guests has been so positive and so many people commented on the quality of the service and the food. If we could do it all over again we wouldn't dream about going anywhere else.

Extremely service minded personnel - from reception to restaurant. We were upgraded to a larger room which was in the same well kempt and clean state as the hotel in general. Lovely and tasteful diner in restaurant. The morning breakfast was well-assorted. The coffee was though an insult to a prober morning coffee. Most recommendable and central located hotel.
