"Very cute design hotel with a cozy atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and lovely details throughout the property. I especially loved the lounge and game room area — I ended up spending almost three hours working on a puzzle there and hope someone finishes it after me! The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I didn’t try the hot tub though, as it is located in the middle of the hotel and felt a bit too exposed since people can easily look at you from around the property."

"THIS IS OUR MOST AFFORDABLE LUXURY STAY IN ICELAND 😭💯😭💯😭💯 IT FELT SO LUXURY AND FOR THE PRICE I PAID I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT EVEN MORE ONCE I GOT THERE. THE PRIVATE HOT TUB WAS A BLISS 😭 me and my friend had to skip common hot tub facilities that other accoms offered as it is either far from our room or it is open late in the evening meanwhile this one is private and u can use whenever except the jet has to be off after xx hour to not disturb the other rooms. I just love how private your room can be and just the view of akureyri while it was still bright outside to how the lights from Akureyri just blast your view and overlooking the mountain. Loved the dark rich interior vibe North Mountain View Suites is giving. Everything is nice. The design is just chefs kiss—i felt so rich and expensive lol. There’s even netflix and youtube and big modern tv in the room, private tub which you must dip yourself!!!, bath robes, hanger, literally not just big fridge but also freezer?!?! and yes, the suites leave a mint chocolate, coke, sprite and spring water in the fridge pls have it!!! There’s even oven 😭😭 Yes, the room is complete and have everything. IT IS JUST SO PERFECT!! If you love the mint choc (sirius brand), please drop by Bonus supermarket and you can get it for cheapest price (cheaper than Netto too!!!) oof yes we went to Netto and Bonus in Borgarnes all to hunt the exact mint choc bar 🤭 If you’re in Akureyri, please book this suites!!!! "We had an enjoyable 1 night stay in the newly renovated boutique wing, which we requested for. The hotel was in the midst of transformation so we expected hiccups but there were none. Our room was compact but newly furnished with a very comfy bed and stylish amenities like a large Samsung TV, coffee machine, Marshall speakers and L'Occitane toiletries. We were hoping for a city/fjord view instead of the hill fortifications out back. Still, we enjoyed the new hotel facade, plush lobby cocktail lounge vibes and ease of free parking out front. Breakfast requires one to walk out to the next building annex but the hall had roomy seating and plenty of options for a nice Scandi breakfast. The airport is a 5-min drive away, the city centre and waterfront all 5 minutes away on foot. A nicely updated base for Akureykri and North Iceland."

"The room was spacious and well-equipped, with the heated towel rack being particularly noteworthy. It snowed on the day we checked in, and our clothes were completely soaked—the heated towel rack was very helpful for drying smaller items. The breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of options, which suited our tastes perfectly. This hotel offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended."

The room was spacious and clean, with excellent hygiene. The view from the window was beautiful, offering sights of the sunrise and numerous small volcanic craters. Check-in and parking were convenient. The front desk even asked if we'd like to be notified about the Northern Lights, which was a very thoughtful touch. That evening, I managed to capture many photos of the aurora. We heard there's a free hot spring, but we weren't aware of it and missed out. Breakfast was plentiful.

Upon arrival at the apartment, the reception is no longer staffed. On the door hangs a phone number where you can reach the apartment. The person on the other side of the phone first asks us why we do not use the code that we should have received by e-mail. Checked E-Mail Account - mentioned E-mail missing. According to the apartment, this would be sent two days in advance. Since we had not booked two days in advance - impossible. So now checked in by phone, everything ok. On to the first real point of criticism. When opening the room door, a strong smell hits you, which tries to cover the bathroom smell - long airing with a wide open window creates some relief. When checking the bed, one finds reddish, brownish stains on the bed cover - very unattractive. We were accommodated in room 25. The location is unfortunately unfavorable. The room gets the full street noises. Now to our biggest point of criticism: from about 00:30am until after 02:00am, an Asian tour group turned night into day! The hotel cannot be held responsible for human stupidity and antisocial behavior such as door slamming, loud talking and laughing in the corridors. Such behavior can unfortunately happen anytime and anywhere, but an entrance door that slams into the lock so loudly every single time that everyone in the hotel must hear it and you are always startled out of your sleep is simply unacceptable. Last but not least, the tour group had finished their party - thank goodness, and you thought peace would turn in, the small refrigerator inside the room started up. Humming loudly, it wouldn't let you fall asleep for another perceived eternity. All in all, this was unfortunately the worst and most nerve-wracking accommodation of our 15-day Iceland tour so far. We can not recommend this apartment, nor would we come back again.

A great stay in the farm house. We stayed there for two nights. It was only 5km away from husavik where we joined the whale watching tour. We had our breakfast at 8am and managed to arrive the whale watching centre at 9:05am. The view from the farm house was really nice (the sea and the snow mountains). Staff was nice. We could use the kitchen for lunch and dinner. They’ve got utensils and pots and bowls. And microwave and oven. Basically everything you need. The dog was cute. We also joined an icelandic horse riding session there. It was amazing. The girl was friendly, experienced and helpful. Breakfast was simple and the croissant was delicious. Room was much better then we expected. More and less like a hotel room. We enjoyed staying there very much.

My wife and I booked a double room in this hotel, full of rooms, and the door of the room is already using electronic locks! The first floor is the restaurant, check in is also at the restaurant counter, check in with a free drink from the restaurant. The kitchen has a simple microwave and a kettle to use. The bathroom is in the basement, and it will definitely pass the restaurant on the first floor. It feels a bit strange, and men may still go wrong into the women's bathroom. This part is a bit strange in the design of the compartment. There is a bar behind the hotel, which will be very noisy before snoring at night. Even if the soundproof airtight window is closed, it is quite loud; and the door bow buffer of the restaurant door on the first floor of the hotel is not enough, and the closing will affect the upstairs!

My wife and me were staying at room 202 on Sep 11, 3025. Room 202is at 1st floor. The room itself is pretty good, but the noise sound is very loud, not sure other rooms. The noise is constant, so it’s hard to go to sleep, both my wife and me were awake for almost whole night. I believe the owner or the manager was aware the loud noise, because 2 pair ear plugs were provided on night table, initially I thought the owner or the manager was sweet, but actually it’s a bad sigh already, I am pretty sure the previous customers complained this loud noise many times, but just didn’t do much to improve it, and want to trap more new customers. Hope the owner can refund me

My first time at a capsule anything tbh, and I couldn't have imagined a better experience. The couple running this establishment have created a unique atmosphere, such comfort, and a feeling of joy to get back to home away from home. I'm now in love with the capsule concept, kudos to Japan, and this amazing Icelandic couple. Thank you for a great stay, hope to see you in Portugal ;)
