I had a pleasant and comfortable stay at Raia Hotel Alor Setar. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities provided. The bed was comfortable, and I had a good night’s rest after a long drive. The staff were friendly and efficient during check-in, and the overall environment felt safe and welcoming. The hotel’s location is also convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and food options. Overall, a good value stay and I wouldn’t mind returning in the future.
I love the location the most, restaurants, convenient stores, mall all around, you name it, they got it hahaha even ecoshop within walking distance, parking although limited is still available.
I had a pleasant stay at Purest Hotel overall. The location is very convenient, making it easy to access nearby amenities and get around the area. I also appreciate the team’s prompt response whenever I made a request — the service was efficient and attentive.
That said, one area for improvement would be the pigeon situation at the car park, which could be better managed to enhance cleanliness and overall guest experience.
With some attention to this, the stay experience would be even better.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the beautiful view, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Parking was very convenient and easily accessible for customers, which is a big plus. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful and professional, always ready to assist with any questions.
Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
I spent 4 days and 3 nights at Royale Signature Hotel, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most pleasantly surprising stays in Alor Setar! From check-in to check-out, everything felt smooth and welcoming — the staff genuinely made me feel like a guest, not just a booking number.
The room was spacious, bright, and thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials: comfy bed, soft pillows, mini-fridge, and a spot-perfect workspace. The sleep quality was impressive… though, full disclosure, the soundproofing could use an upgrade — I could occasionally hear faint hallway sounds. Nothing deal-breaking, but something to note if you’re a deep sleeper.
Location-wise, it’s a winner. Walking distance to Aman Central, local cafés, and Alor Setar Tower made exploring effortless. High floors also offer a lovely city view — perfect for morning coffee or sunset photos.
Little touches made my stay memorable: complimentary Wi-Fi that never faltered, modern toiletries, and those small staff gestures that made a difference — smiles, helpful directions, and quick responses whenever I needed something.
Overall, Royale Signature Hotel is a great value for a 4-star stay in the heart of the city. Comfortable, convenient, and welcoming — I left feeling rested, happy, and already planning my next visit. If you’re coming to Alor Setar, this hotel will not disappoint.
💡 Tip: Request a higher floor for the best city views and bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper — minor things, but your stay will be perfect!
Such a nice view and room . But my room doesnt have view. Only chill at around resort . But i get bad service from reception regarding asking about activites . Hope can improve that. Hope can upgrade more about cleanliness.
Stayed here during our CNY balik kampung trip — overall the stay was okay and reasonable for the price, though we’re not sure why the reception has been moved to another building as it looks older and less presentable compared to the more welcoming main lobby hall.

The hotel itself is well located and has a certain charm. The furniture is quite old, but in a way it adds character to the place. The staff we interacted with were generally kind and polite.
However, we had a very upsetting experience with the Ramadan buffet restaurant.
We arrived at the hotel around 6:00 PM after a long day of travel with two flights (Phuket to Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi). My mother had been fasting all day for Ramadan and had not eaten or drunk anything.
When we saw that the restaurant was preparing the Ramadan buffet, my mother sat down hoping to break her fast there. Unfortunately we were refused and told that reservations had to be made one day in advance.
This was very surprising for us, as we had just arrived in the country and could not possibly have reserved the day before.
We were directed to another nearby restaurant, but after waiting more than one hour we still had not received any food. During that time my mother — who had been fasting all day — still had nothing to eat, and my two-year-old child was crying because he was hungry.
In the end, my mother was only able to eat about two hours after the time of breaking the fast.
Aside from this very difficult experience, the hotel itself is pleasant and the staff are friendly. However, I hope the management will consider being more flexible and understanding in situations like this, especially for guests observing Ramadan and families traveling with young children.
Initially we planned to put up a night here on a CNY trip. Yesterday we extended another night. This hotel is situated at the city centre & the location is strategic. You can find food easily as there are many eateries around. Furthermore, the Aman Central Mall which is Alor Setar's biggest mall, is just a stone throw away. Shopping & hunting for food is rather convenient. The hotel has its own parking lot. However, if thete isn't any space to park , you can park at another nearby hotel where there is a charging station available with a very low charge. Overall, the hotel is pretty clean & the bed is comfortable. The only thing lacking is the hairdryer. The service is quite efficient & the security guard is so kind to find us a parking space as we arrived rather late last night.

Best beach view but like the rest of Langkawi it’s just missing a few things. The family pool is sensational…but it’s pebblecrete, so it’ll tear up feet if you’re in there doing anything active. The pool bar opens at midday, so it’s definitely not set for early swimmers who might want a juice and snack. No lifeguard and almost no kids pool area. The pool was 1.1 to 1.5m deep so not toddler friendly.
The rooms were great but limited lift access so a nice 3rd floor view has three flights of stairs.
They have a reading room, which is a nice, air-conditioned lounge, but it only opens at 11am.
The main restaurant has… average food. It’s not what you’d hope. They have the Chefs Table Restaurant wich was more expensive but actually had good food. It was hot in there though. We went in end of March and it was 32/32 degrees every day.
Overall it’s a nice place and close to the mangrove tours but it just falls short of being really good. But that’s pretty much all of Langkawi.
Staff were really nice.

RRodders1954Rebak Island Resort and Marina is a beautiful hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are spacious and clean with separate shower and bathroom along with plenty of storage. My bed was very comfortable and peaceful at night. There is a verandah also overlooking the beautiful beach.
Breakfasts were wonderful too with plenty of choices.
Dinners cater for Malaysian and Indian tastes and also there are ‘western’ choices of burgers, pizzas, even fish and chips.
A beautiful island resort inly 10 minutes from Langkawi await you.
XxDanielThe hotel is beautiful, calm, and clean...perfect for total relaxation.
Friendly staff, stunning pool, and peaceful vibe.
The location is a bit inconvenient: it's up on a hill, so you need a car every time you arrive or leave.
No fridge in the room, noticeable lack of privacy (the layout surrounds the central pool like a theater/amphitheater, with rooms openly overlooking the pool area from all sides), and due to the shape, parts of the hotel are shaded by the surrounding buildings for half the day, limiting sun exposure.
Perfect if you want to disconnect and unwind; not great for frequent beach trips, full privacy, or all-day sunshine.
I loved my days here. Pure relax.
GGuest UserThis family-friendly hotel is absolutely fantastic! Paired with the beautiful Langkawi weather, it made for the best part of our trip. We stayed for two nights during the Chinese New Year holiday with my whole family, including seniors and kids, in a family suite which was a standalone wooden chalet. The hotel environment is excellent, nestled between mountains and water, and it's also right next to the SkyCab, so you could easily spend two days just exploring the area. We also booked an island hopping tour through the hotel, which was convenient, good value, and a great experience. We'll definitely come back next time we have a chance. A special mention to Sofie at the front desk – she was incredibly nice and gentle, providing an excellent check-in and check-out experience for guests. The hotel's Thai restaurant is great, followed by the Malaysian restaurant. We didn't go to the Chinese restaurant; I just glanced at the menu and decided against it. It felt like over 80% of the guests here were Caucasians, and the overall atmosphere, including at check-in and on the beach, was very peaceful.
NNiliudashuLocation, convenience, beach, ambiance, rooms, entertainment, dining – there's hardly anything to complain about. If I had to nitpick, first, there are too few designated smoking areas! Second, the rooftop infinity pool is strictly for guests aged 18 and above, which feels quite unreasonable. Many guests come with their families, and it's not like you can just ditch your kids to go for a swim. This policy excludes many from enjoying the experience.
For breakfast, try to go early and grab a seat near the water for a great experience.
The hotel is situated on Cenang Beach, which has very fine sand. The water isn't crystal clear, but it's acceptable.
The room's minibar offers a good variety of drinks, plus two small snack bags that are refilled daily by the staff.
You absolutely MUST choose a sea-view room. We opted for the Premium Sea View, which had an L-shaped sofa on the balcony. I actually slept there one night, facing the ocean, under the moonlight, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves – it was absolutely wonderful.
The room was also spacious enough, nearly 70 square meters, making it very comfortable for a family of three.
The gym doesn't have a huge variety of equipment, but it's sufficient and open 24 hours. There are two pools: one for adults and one for all ages.
Regarding food, the hotel has several restaurants, and there's also a beach BBQ with a fire dance show for 198 per person, which isn't expensive. It's also not far from Zhong Hua Seafood Restaurant and Hidden Bar, making dining very convenient. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Langkawi.
GGuest UserIf you're traveling with kids, book a room by the pool. Just slide the glass door and you're right in the water. The breakfast is really good, with a lot of protein. Refill service is super fast. Even during busy season, the buffet stays well-stocked through breakfast. The beach has plenty of sun beds, and the spot itself is fantastic. That said, in my experience, the jet skis and other activities make the beach and nearby area feel more commercial than private. It’s not your typical huge resort with buggies and all-inclusive, but it’s perfect for a quick two-night stay, good breakfast, clean beach, and sunbathing.. Cenang Mall is about a 15-minute walk, and there are lots of small restaurants nearby. Keep in mind, when we stayed there, there was construction next door, so the views and noises weren’t ideal for a holiday.
GGuest UserThis hotel was our best stay in Langkawi, It gave us a little 'White Lotus' vibe. If you like lots of greenary, this hotel is for you. View is amazing. Food was good. Only the minus point was it is a little far away from the main center. sometimes difficult to get a cab after 8, if you want to go to Pantai Chenang. Airport and sky bridge was quite near and also some of the nice beaches of Langkawi. For food, there is an authentic Indian restaurant 'Delhi Darbar' at a walking distance. There is also a cafe nearby. I definetely recommend this place.
GGuest UserBook sea view studio at a higher price due to the Chinese New Year holidays. Waited for almost 2 over hrs before room is ready when close to 3pm. However was very disappointed when check into room n as seaview studio room on 7th floor is blocked by a hill in the center n major construction looking down from the balcony. Request for a change of room to higher floor, view rooms on 2 other higher floors and finally settled on the 11th floor which is a better seaview eventot the hill in front with construction site is still there. Would rate the hotel only at probably 4 stars or below with average rooms furnishings , average spread breakfast, spots bad maintained cleanliness over the public areas n a rooftop which is squeezing all sunbathe chairs n tables n a bar with an average size swimming pool. Reception staffs are not as well trained but they are trying their best to fulfill most guests queries. The rooftop is quite windy but offers good photo view. This hotel should be relatively new only opened a few years ago but idoesn’t match the prices of a 5 stars or 5 diamonds rated.
AAnonymous UserLocation hotel okay, dekat dgn exit highway. Bawah hotel ada kedai2 makan , ada convenience shop speedmart dekat area hotel, depan hotel ada hospital Pantai and not far from the hotel ada Shopping Mall. The room is spacious and the bed is comfy but not the pillows. If u wanna find a place to stay for a short stay like 2days or 3days, can consider this hotel.
*sorry, dont have any photo*
SSharifah ZThe hotel and the surrounding is ok. Close and have access to beach. Unfortunately, room is quite small, and the tv has very poor signal. When i complained, the counter said, the issue was not faced by me, it was a common issue with all rooms, and the hotel is in the process to rectify it. I am.sure the issue is not new. How could they just close one eye. The breakfast is just ok, nothing extra. I had asked for late checkout (by 1 pm) and the hotel.said ok the night before. But around 11.45 am and 1230 pm, i received 2 separate calls asking me to check out. When i told them i was granted checkout until 1pm..they said thwy were not aware. Therw was no note. So the hotel has a lot to imrove.
The tv is not a smart tv also. So nothing u cam do. With no.channel, the only option was to turn it ofc
GGuest UserOnline reviews mentioned that staying in Kuah Town would be quieter, but since it's surrounded by seafood restaurants and roads, there were still motorcycle noises around 11 PM or 12 AM. However, it didn't bother us late sleepers, and it quieted down even later. In comparison, Pantai Cenang, being by the sea, would be much quieter. The room felt like an older 4-star hotel. I stayed in a twin room the first night and a king room the second, and for 300, it was generally good value for money. There's an I-Bing bubble tea shop nearby with delicious taro milkshakes, and it's also very close to Wonderland. Parking is very convenient and free.
