For me, nothing was particularly bad, that’s the thing. Everything was okay, comfortable, acceptable…but I didn’t get that “WOW, this is a 5-star hotel!” feeling. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, but I was quite surprised that the tea selection was limited to Lipton, with Nescafé for coffee. I would have appreciated a slightly better selection, perhaps Dilmah or a few different varieties of tea. It may seem like a small detail, but these little touches really contribute to the overall premium experience. Breakfast? Okay. Cuma personally I expected a little more variety from a 5-star hotel. Service? Okay. Good. Pool? Nice. Gym? Good. Big View? Very Beautiful. 🌅

Had a pleasant stay at City Rise Hotel Miri. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, good value for the price. 👍

The hotel has an old vintage charm, and you can tell it must have had a grand atmosphere during its prime. It mainly features older furnishings, so it’s suitable if you don’t mind that style. The cleanliness is highly commendable, as maintaining older items requires great care. The furniture is well-maintained, sturdy, and fully functional.

Just arrived at the hotel and was informed that there was ongoing water pipe repair work outside, which caused a temporary water disruption during the daytime. We couldn’t shower or wash our hands for a while, which was quite inconvenient. Thankfully, the water supply returned to normal again in the evening. Front desk staff were still very polite and helpful throughout the situation. We booked the Deluxe Single Room, and the king-sized bed was very comfortable and spacious, enough for us two adults and our 2yo child, with plenty of extra space. However, the bed felt slightly damp when we first arrived, but it became better later at night. The hotel also has a family pool and direct beach access, which makes it a great place for families with kids to relax and unwind. The buffet breakfast menu was also quite rich with plenty of choices.

Had a wonderful stay at Jinhold Hotel Miri! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with all the essential amenities provided. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel's location is convenient, with easy access to the airport, shopping areas, and local attractions. The breakfast offered a good variety of choices, and the overall environment was peaceful and relaxing. Great value for money and an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Miri!

The hotel is in a great location, and the room was clean and comfortable. Those are definitely the highlights of my stay. Unfortunately, the service and overall experience fell well below expectations. The biggest issue was the parking. My vehicle couldn’t fit into the mechanical parking system, so I was instructed to park by the roadside instead. Eventhough I wasn’t able to use the hotel’s parking system, I was still charged RM10. Later that evening, I decided to use the hotel’s premium parking, which costs RM70/day. I asked if the RM10 I had just paid could at least be deducted from the premium parking fee, but my request was declined. It didn’t seem fair considering I had no choice but to park outside because my car couldn’t fit into the mechanical parking. After contacting management by email, I was informed that the RM10 charge should never have been applied in the first place, as roadside parking was supposed to be complimentary for guests in my situation. This was apparently a mistake by the front desk. What was frustrating was that I had already explained to the front desk multiple times that my vehicle wasn’t even parked in the mechanical parking system, yet I was still asked to pay. The premium parking arrangement was also poorly managed. There were no staff available to assist with moving the cones, and on one occasion, my car registration wasn’t even on the parking list. Several times during my stay, I had to ask different staff where I was supposed to park because no one seemed to know. Housekeeping was another disappointment. I requested room cleaning at the front desk in the morning and specifically informed the staff that I had accidentally left the “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door. Despite this, housekeeping never came to service my room. To the hotel’s credit, management handled my complaint professionally. They refunded all of my parking charges and offered complimentary breakfast as a gesture of goodwill. However, while I appreciate management’s effort to make things right, the multiple service issues throughout my stay had already left a poor impression. Personally, I would not stay here again, especially if I’m driving. A good recovery is appreciated, but it doesn’t undo an experience that could have been avoided with better communication and service from the front desk.

Overall, my stay was very pleasant. The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The front desk staff were warm and friendly, and check-in and check-out were very efficient, with no unnecessary waiting. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The bathroom facilities were well-maintained, hot water supply was stable, and the amenities were complete. The public areas were clean and elegant, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices that suited my taste. The only minor drawback was that the lighting by the window was a bit dim, but it didn't affect the overall experience. The value for money is quite high for this area. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I'm passing through, and I recommend it to friends who are traveling.

Overall Experience recently stayed at Hotel Abell Kuching and had a wonderful experience. The hotel offers great value for money and sits in an excellent location. From check-in to check-out, the entire experience was smooth, pleasant, and highly satisfying. We would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Kuching.Room Quality & Cleanliness, The room was exceptionally clean, tidy, and well-maintained. The housekeeping team clearly does a fantastic job ensuring everything is spotless before guests arrive. The bedding was fresh, the towels were pristine, and the overall room environment felt very hygienic and comfortable to rest in after a long day of exploring.Staff & Front Desk Service, A huge highlight of our stay was the staff. The front desk team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. They greeted us with warm smiles and handled our check-in swiftly. Throughout our stay, they were always ready to assist with directions and local recommendations, making us feel right at home.Dining & Room Service. The breakfast provided was absolutely delicious. There was a good variety of options to choose from, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. It was the perfect way to start our mornings. Additionally, we ordered room service during our stay. The food arrived hot, the delivery was prompt, and the service was executed with a great, polite attitude.Minor Issue Swiftly Resolved. The only minor hiccup we encountered was a slight drain smell in the bathroom upon arrival. However, as soon as we notified the staff, they took immediate action. The maintenance team settled the issue completely and efficiently, showing just how attentive and responsive the hotel management is to guest comfort.

Room 811, malfunction outdoor A/C unit, only have hot air. Around 9pm no more hot water supply, only have cool water, can't take a bath in the bathtub. Smell dusty carpet. Moved to room 713, everything is fine, just a broken TV screen, and this room only has a shower, no bathtub... Morning breakfast have white rice, mee goreng, chicken hot dog, meat roll, hard chicken kicap and red baked bean. Other row, orange juice, apple juice, warm water and cool water. Another row, croissant, muffin, white bread, golden bread, jam n coffee n tea. N the worst part is the iban female chef or kitchen helper who fry the egg, her dealing bad attitude toward all customer, when order egg, She always said Can u wait?! Don't order if you can't wait!!! Still have five more people order to cook!!! Then the customer ordered, she didn't take note of the order and give the queue number or place the plate in order. She worked in a chaotic state, due to no proper SOP and managing her order or pre making food in order. Need to audit her way to manage order. After I waited 25 min, I goto take my 2 pcs egg order, but she missing 1 pcs egg, when I ask politely can I have another egg order, then she get mad at me, scolding me I didn't order 2 pcs egg at first, but I said I had told her 2 pcs egg before, then she shut up. After I take the egg to my table, I hear she mumbles in Bahasa Iban said that Chinese Pig only knows... then smaller voice I don't know what she said. I turned and I saw no one beside her, definitely not talking to anyone... The whole breakfast time was good, but the staff had a bad attitude and ruined our mood to have a good experience... Suggestion: If the egg cooking station is too hard to manage, just put half boiled eggs and hard boiled egg at there, then make a big batch of scrambled or omelette and put it in a tray. The image of a professional chef preparing the fresh food, is failed by that bad attitude staff. Just save some money from hiring that staff and cook good food for customer.

This hotel is located right next to the city center and features a small shopping mall attached. The lobby even has a famous Singaporean chicken rice restaurant. With easy parking and breakfast included, it’s a perfect choice for business travelers.
