Hotell Arendal

Hotel is very shady, and the rooms are even tinier than in the pictures. Cleaning only every third day, even though the rooms are for four people, which will leave very much dust and dirt in the room in that time. The point of booking a hotel room is gone when you can’t even depend on getting clean towels. The cleaning wasn’t even done properly the day the cleaning lady actually was here. No reception means having to call the poor lady who works here at all hours of the day, instead of just asking someone. Not worth your money at all.

I stayed in Arendal one night, and was very happy with the hotel. I'm sensitive to cleanliness and vibes, and felt it was a very clean and calm place. The bed was super comfortable, and I had a window where lots of light came in to my room, which I love. Not all rooms are turned towards the light, though. But I was lucky. For me, this was perfect. Affordable and clean, and everything you need for one night, no more no less. The standard is cheap, but cleanliness and comfort is most important to me, and for this they scored 10 out of 10. I would book in the same place again if I was going back.

- Must wait until 1600 before room was available: ”Check-in” is between 15.00-16.00”, receptionist said, while I have a view of the note on the wall that c/i is from 15.00 hour. Then just say the cleaning has come a little delay. A little sad, especially because the reception was very friendly and the staff did their best within the possibilities. -Obviously a seasonal hotel: restaurant was not open that evening (season was just behind the back) -Unfortunately no additional stop contact at the office (I had to get the TV out of the stick). -Water cooker in the room, yes, but no cup/head for the coffee/tea -Bed/matra was fine -Water pressure (the biggest inlet shower I've ever seen) ok. It's a pity that the shower garden is not all around. The toilet is wet -Under clothes at the washboard no antislip The hotel has recently joined ”Unique Hoteller” in Norway. But I think, looking at the brochure in which the other hotels are listed, The hotel is a very good place to make it by the (new?) owner. The hotel can use a paint outdoor. There were also some stuff somewhat sleeve in the room. But perhaps that room has not yet been renovated. The hotel was very comfortable and was very comfortable. I'm wondering how some of them are at my next visit, in six months.

It is the service that triumphs. Combined with good location and excellent service, the stay gave me a very positive start to the work week. The hotel has chosen a maritime feel. Which is appropriate considering that they are located down by the harbor. I had booked parking for the electric car in advance and when I arrived at the hotel the place was taken by someone else. The receptionist was very solution-oriented and helped me find a good car park as good as the one I had originally booked. Maybe better. The breakfast was very good and it was easy to check out when I was going to travel. The hotel is not very modern, but it holds everything you need as a guest. I gave it 4 ”stars” due to the service.
