Clarion Congress Hotel is truly an excellent place to stay. The staff were very professional, friendly and welcoming. The room felt luxurious, modern and fully equipped with everything you need. I also enjoyed a very good breakfast here. Overall, I had a fantastic stay — comfortable, clean and high‑quality in every aspect.

The location of this place is perfect. It is right in between the old town and downtown (Eurovea), River Danube and the bus stop for coaches from Vienna are within walking distance. A large Lidl supermarket is just a few steps away on the same road. We had chosen a Standard Apartment with inner court view, though without any nice view, it means it was quiet day and night even though it is close to downtown restaurants and bars. The apartment was clean, had all the necessary equipment for a short stay. We arrived at about 1 pm, as the check in time is 3 pm, we thought we had to pay for leave luggage so that we could start sight seeing straight away. The receptionist however told us that the room was already ready and we could use it straight away. It saved us the few EURO for luggage storage. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.

2025/6/19 Upon checking in on the first day, we later approached the front desk to add breakfast for the second day. The female staff member with a ponytail and no glasses told us we could settle the bill for breakfast upon check-out. However, when we went for breakfast on the second day, our reservation wasn't found at the restaurant, and we were sent back to the front desk to reconfirm. We went back to the front desk to clarify the situation, but two other female staff members seemed completely unaware of what had happened. Eventually, the original staff member we spoke to appeared. To our utter disbelief, she then retracted her statement, insisting we needed to arrange it directly with the restaurant ourselves? This was utterly baffling and clearly an internal communication failure 🤬🤬🤬. I demand you review the surveillance footage to verify what you actually said! This incident truly ruined our morning and left us feeling incredibly upset. Especially considering this is a reputable international chain, a star-rated hotel, I'm truly at a loss for words. For such a simple matter, adding a note should not be difficult. This is purely due to poor internal communication and unclear staff handover😡. I'm speechless; this is absolutely outrageous! They should have just charged us on the spot to avoid any disputes. Instead, this entire debacle left us with no proof, turning it into a ”Rashomon” situation of conflicting verbal accounts. On the bright side, the location is quite good, and the public spaces are tastefully designed. Overall, the hotel appeared reasonably clean and tidy. Now, regarding the in-room facilities: there was actually quite a bit of dust in the room. On surfaces like the TV cabinet and capsule coffee machine, dust particles were clearly visible floating in the light, which triggered our allergies, causing us to sneeze repeatedly. In room 520, the bathroom constantly emitted peculiar noises, making us wonder if it was some kind of machinery running. Furthermore, this is the first time I've encountered unstable hot water pressure in the shower (it would often turn lukewarm) at a supposedly 'better' chain hotel. To top it all off, the washing machine was also broken, and we were informed it wouldn't be fixed and usable until next week. I'm utterly astonished by this level of inefficiency... 😵💫😵💫😵💫

Stayed for one night, although I couldn’t check in early, receptionist allowed me to store luggage and freshen up after early morning flight. Seemed all clean and location is close by to tram. Good storage in sleeping area. Cannot complain with that price. Only plus would be a fan on the warmer days as I was on the top floor.

It was about a 8 mins walk from the main train station with some mild upslope. Take note there’s a flight of few steps going down to the hotel. However the rooms are so intricately designed with good amenities! They also gave free water, beer, and soft drinks in the mini fridge. Bed and pillows were comfy. One of the top hotels, if not the best, in Bratislava!

Good stay at this hostel. Receptionist showed us our room, where the toilets were etc. Unfortunately he was a little late arriving (website said reception opened at 2 and he was there around quarter past) but wasn’t really a big deal and he was very lovely. Location would be perfect were it not sharing walls with a night club, and our holiday happened to fall across Friday-Sunday! Surprisingly, couldn’t hear any people but the base was quite loud. Other than that, you couldn’t be any more central, right by Michael’s Gate. Good value for what it was. Would stay here again. We had a double room not a dorm.

I stayed for 3 nights. My main reasons for choosing this hostel were 1. it has a kitchen: as I’m going a lot of travelling I cannot afford to eat out for every meal so made breakfast, prepared lunches and dinner. The kitchen was clean, modern, fully equipped. There was free coffee (beans and coffee maker) , tea, sugar. 2. location: needed to be convenient to the bus station (15min walk) and the historic centre (5-10mins walk). The hostel was easy to locate. The neighborhood felt safe to walk around and shops are near by (including Tescos). Right next to tram station, though I never needed to use it. There are also some very interesting second hand / vintage clothes shops in the street. Check-in was easy (24 hour reception). I was offered the opportunity to pay the 10 euro deposit by card or cash. I paid using a 20 euro note, got change ok and the money was left in my key slot thus easily returned on check out. The reception staff smiled and greeted me when walking in and out, perhaps because I did to them. I stayed in a 6 bed mixed form with en-suite. You choose your bed on a first come basis , though have a key for a specific locker that was large enough to fit my carry on luggage. The room felt spacious and even had table and chairs. Room and en-suite were clean. The beds each have a power socket and small shelf fixed to the wall though no individual light. You pick up bed linen at reception, make your own bed and put bedding in laundry basket when checking out. The pillow was lumpy and could do with being replaced. Sleep quality was good except one night with a very loud snorer (reception gives earplugs for free). It is winter and the room was nice and warm. The room has 2 ceiling lights. An area of improvement would be to be able to switch each light on/off separately. The wall of lockers separates the bed area from the entrance and en-suite door and it would be useful to be able to only turn on the light there. The en-suite was clean and warm (it is November). The shower water was not hot enough for my personal taste but it was not cold. There is an additional toilet and shower room in the corridor for additional use. The corridor also had a fridge. The laundry room is free: has washers and driers but need to buy detergent. It was my plan to stay in and do all my laundry on my day of arrival and I was grateful that I decided to do that rather than do laundry at the previous place. It saved me 9 euros. WiFi is free and reliable. When staying in a shared space the experience is greatly influenced by the other people who happen to be there at the same time. Everyone I met was friendly. The people sharing my room were always respectful of each other. Lights out in the room tended to be by 10pm and when coming in later than that it was possible to turn on the en-suite light and open the door to provide some light to get ready for bed without disturbing others. It was quiet in the room and the only ‘noise’ came from some late night loud voices in the corridor from others but it only lasted a few mins. The soundproofing is not sufficient to block noises from other areas, follow the advice on signs and report to reception if necessary. It is nice that the hostel seems to not tolerate noisy people disturbing others. I was traveling as single female. In the 3 nights the dorm room was never fully occupied, had 8 men come and go staying for a day or two, and I never felt uncomfortable in the hostel or neighborhood. This place is good value for money, comfortable, and I would definitely stay here again.

The stay at the NH hotel is really good. As soon as you enter the hotel, you can feel that clean and comfortable. The lobby is spacious and bright, the staff is particularly enthusiastic, the check-in procedure is efficient and professional, and I also introduced me to the hotel's various facilities and surrounding attractions in detail, which makes people feel particularly intimate. The room was very clean, the bed was soft and comfortable, and sleeping like lying in the clouds, making people sleep well all night. The layout of the room is also very exquisite, from the pattern of the sheets to the small objects of the furnishings, you can see the hotel's intentions. Moreover, all the equipment in the room is well maintained, air conditioning, TV, hot water bottle, etc. can be used normally, no faults. The sanitary condition of the hotel also made me very satisfied. The bathroom was cleaned very clean, there was no smell, the quality of the toiletries was good, and it was very convenient to use. The hotel's breakfast is also very rich and varied. There are a variety of breads, pastries, fruits, drinks, and local specialties to meet the taste needs of different people. In addition, the location of the hotel is also very convenient, the surrounding transportation is convenient, there are many shops and restaurants nearby, and the travel is very convenient. Overall, NH Hotel has brought me a good experience in all aspects, and I will choose to stay here next time I have the opportunity.

This is a beautiful hotel literal steps away from the sites or Bratislava. We really enjoyed our stay here and felt very relaxed once in the hotel. The view from the street and lobby make it seem like there isn't much but once we got beyond the ground floor (in a diamond shaped elevator) we really appreciated the atrium. There were plenty of spots to sit including some large bench areas where you could enjoy the sunlight and brightly lit areas. The room was a good size with plenty of space and storage cabinets to keep our things. They had a coffee station, mini fridge and desk area. The room was comfy and quiet. The wifi was also very strong during our stay. We had a minor issue with the curtains because they got stuck and did not offer complete coverage. The bathroom was good and we appreciated the rainfall showerhead. They had an all in one shower gel so you may want to consider bringing your own products. There was a towel warming rack too which was a nice touch. The breakfast at the hotel was very good and there were some nice healthy options. They had plenty of fruit, yogurt and some nice breads. We also appreciated the eggs, bacon and cheese. The breakfast spot is on the bottom floor and serves as an extension to the restaurant Koliba Kamzík Zelená which has a few locations in Bratislava. We had a very good lunch at the restaurant which included pierogies, cabbage soup and a garlic soup with cheese. The hot sea buckthorn drink was very good too. The lunch was probably our best meal in Bratislava and if you're a member of the hotel's Aplend club you can get discounts on several items. The location was good for us and we were a very short walk away from many restaurants, souvenir shops and cafes. The Town Hall Square is about 100 meters away from the entrance of the hotel and we found many of Bratislava's attractions a short walk away from the hotel including St. Michael's Tower, Cumil and the whole Old Town area. The bus and tram stops are a bit further of a walk but we found the bus station and tram station by the UFO Bridge to be pretty convenient during our stay.

GgenewiloMy partner and I have just returned to the United Kingdom after having a trip to Europe, the final destination of our travels was at the very beautiful and picturesque hotel. The hotel is very well situated to river and minutes away from the Old Town. The interior is beautiful and the decor clearly reflects the reason why it’s a highly rated hotel. Our room was situated on the second floor and there is a lift for those who overindulge in the cuisine or infamous Slovak wines 😁 the staff are all smarty presented in their appearance and polite, the breakfast is varied and it is self service even the hot/cold drinks, so please bare that in mind if you’re mobility is restricted when dining in the restaurant for breakfast. The only negative I can recall, and this is no reflection of the hotel, the hospitality or staff as it was “other guests” having no consideration for guests still in their slumber or at least trying to be. Guests would allow their room doors to slam closed and guests would talk loudly on the corridor throughout the evening/night/morning. So next time I’d probably request a room on the top floor to avoid the inconsiderate guests 👍

KKellen YOverview: nice and super big rooms! Location: centrally located, 10-15 mins walking distance to most attractions like Bratislava Castle, Old Town Hall, Michael’s Gate etc, tram stations just within 2 mins away! Breakfast: good choice, particularly impressed when they extended the ending time by 10 mins on a Sunday as there were a lot of new guests the night before who might not have been aware of the ending time! Service: nice and friendly staff! Cleanliness: spotless from what I can see which is nice! Rooms: I thought I was staying in a flat for a second, super big and roomy, with sofa, a separate living area, impressive! Facilities: good gym, but the sauna costs a bit which is unexpected (and rare, consider it is a decent 4*…) so didn’t use it, and the lobby was a bit dim when I checked in at night, but not a major issue.
