We had an amazing stay at Kwa Maritane! The rate included half board and two thrilling game drives. The food was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious options. The staff were fantastic, always friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend Kwa Maritane for a perfect safari getaway.
The rooms were a lot smaller than expected, the pictures exaggerate the size. There were lots of things to do for families which was a positive. However, there were so many bugs and insects in the restaurant, it made it an extremely uncomfortable place to sit. They even had to turn off the lights to try and get the situation under control. We got there at 7.30pm and the place was trashed. The tables were very sticky and it was in desperate need of a deep clean. We regretfully ate there because there were no other options. We all got terribly sick on the first night because of the food, deeply disappointing.
The room facilities are very old, but the external environment is very beautiful, and the activities are also very good. Hotel guests do not need to buy additional tickets for the surf park. The visitor center can book ziplines, crocodile gardens, golf...
It was amazing visit where everybody at the resort was friendly and accommodated all our needs. Very clean and peaceful to surroundings, wonderful safari and the food were simply delicious thank you for a lovely stay.
The room is spacious and comfortable, and the external environment is elegant. Downstairs is a casino and a Chinese restaurant. The facilities are relatively old, and there are no Chinese sockets. It is inconvenient to charge mobile phones.
Unfortunately staff was not helpful, porters just steer at us , i was traveling with elder people and they did not help us with the luggage, refused to walk 5 car to get the luggage I informed the front desk and still they did nothing, overall activities were good and well organized , safari and balloon. Unforgettable experience, breakfast buffet was average to the price paid , beautiful location and very convenient. Hopefully management train staff in hospitality to a better standard .

The hotel staff were very friendly, the place is quiet and not too busy. I enjoyed the swimming pool, but it can do with a little bit of cleaning by removing insects and leaves that keep floating around. I enjoyed my stay and willing to go back ❤️
The staff were great and very helpful although do seem to be constantly training new recruits.
Generally you feel relaxed. Food isn't great but its not bad either.
It is the best hotel in the town but does not feel like a top class Protea. More like a corporate driven entity rather than a unique experience - quite impersonal.

GGuest UserA very nice location with few issues to sort out..the service is really bad...Our complaints were not entertained one bit..only one shower head was working...we had to take turns to shower....the kitchen windows did not have blinds or curtain and one could see it was taken out few days ago...we were not given the arm bands to access the water park only when we returned to reception the lady told us she forgot...the food at the restaurant takes more than an hour to make...no apology or anything was offered after a long wait both at dinner and breakfast....had to go to reception to borrow the iron after numerous calls without success..the unit does not have numbers which took us a lot of time locating our room...overall service is a nightmare in such a nice resort...
The water park is the best ever...we enjoyed the slides and the warm pool...besides the service I would definitely go back...
Ttetelotee mabiletsaThe resort is situated in a quiet area, offering a peaceful retreat. It was clean, and the host was kind enough to allow us an early check-in. One of the highlights was the on-site restaurant—perfect for when you don’t feel like heading out. I’d highly recommend trying it.
The chalets were spacious, providing plenty of room for everyone. The kids had their own beds, which was a big plus. However, I was disappointed that they didn’t provide basic essentials like water, tea, coffee, or sugar in the rooms—that was definitely a downside.
On the bright side, you can enjoy a braai right outside your chalet and take a short walk to the waterpark for a refreshing dip. The presence of security guards also added to our sense of safety, making our stay even more comfortable.

SSharneyI booked two rooms and was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful gesture of placing us in adjacent rooms. Both rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. While the air conditioning in one room wasn’t quite warming the space effectively despite being set to a high temperature, the thick blanket provided made up for it. The reception staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Overall, I would highly recommend this guesthouse.
AAnonymous UserKosmos Manor is located in a beautiful area of Hartebeespoort. We had a lovely view of the dam from our room. We were greeted by friendly staff who were eager to cater to our needs. The room itself had great amenities and was very clean. The bathroom had underfloor heating which was wonderful! The whole place felt so much like home, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast the morning of checkout. Would highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!
FFur baby mamaThe hosts were lovely! I was suffering from jer lag so I had fallen asleep before they came to welcome us but the following day they came to say hi as well. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. Very clean. Spotless! Comfy beds and sofas. Got to see some giraffe and zebras as well as impalas. Amazing sunsets. Will defo go back next year when I return for my annual visit home.
