Travel to the Charming Town of Annecy, France
[Trip Moment Delivery 🗞️]
On this trip, I visited Annecy, often called the 'Venice of the Alps'! 🇫🇷🌊🌿
🛄 | First Impressions of the Water City Annecy
Annecy is a small town in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France, nestled at the foot of the Alps. As I entered the city center, I was greeted by crystal-clear canals flowing between stone buildings, with flowers adorning every bridge. The pastel-colored buildings reflected on the water, creating a picturesque scene straight out of a storybook. The gentle ripples of the water and the sound of laughter from people blended harmoniously, giving the city a peaceful rhythm.
🌿 The Quaint Alleys of the Old Town
Vieille Ville (Annecy's Old Town) was the most charming area of the city. Walking along the cobblestone streets, I passed cafes with the aroma of crepes, cheese shops, and wine stores lined up in a row. The building facades were painted in shades of yellow, pink, and orange, with flowers hanging from every window, exuding the essence of southern France. Particularly, the Palais de l’Isle, a medieval building on an island in the middle of the canal, was a must-see photo spot in Annecy. Its silhouette reflected on the water became even more romantic at sunset.
🌊 The Path Leading to the Lake
A short walk from the city center leads directly to Lake Annecy (Lac d’Annecy). The lakeside is dotted with yachts and paddle boats, with the blue mountains forming a serene backdrop as gentle waves ripple across the water. The colors of the sky and the lake merge, making it feel like stepping into a world more peaceful than reality. People were relaxing on benches or enjoying picnics on the grass, savoring a leisurely afternoon.
