#biketour During my trip to Antibes, I decided to explore the town by bike, and it was the best way to soak in the beauty of the French Riviera! 🚴♀️ Renting a bike was easy, and I paid around €15 for the day, which was totally worth it. I started my tour from the old town (Vieil Antibes), where the cobbled streets are filled with history, and visited the charming Marché Provençal market. The Picasso Museum (€8 entrance fee) was a must-see, showcasing Picasso’s works in a stunning castle overlooking the sea 🎨. Cycling along the coast was breathtaking, especially when I reached the Cap d’Antibes. The coastal paths offered beautiful views of the sparkling Mediterranean. I stopped at Plage de la Salis for a quick break and to enjoy the sun, before heading to Fort Carré, a fortress that stands guard over the harbor. #timetotravel We travelled to Antibes on a Sunday and every beach club was so crowded 😮!!! We made the mistake of not making any reservations at the beach clubs. We were lucky that Yolo Plage has four exact sun beds that are free and is reasonably priced. And the staff are very nice and accommodating. Everything at Yolo Plage is amazing, from the drinks (get the Hugo Spritz!!), ambience and vibes. Beach and water is clean. The water is slightly chilly which is perfect because we were walking and tanning under the sun ☀️ for too long. While we were swimming, we saw two swans 🦢 which caught us all in a surprise haha!! We wandered through the old town first and it’s full of cute little streets, colorful shutters, and cozy cafes. It feels super local and not overly fancy. The market had tons of fresh stuff and local goodies which was cool to check out. Then we headed toward the sea wall and walked along the coast with amazing views over the water and the yachts. The marina is huge and full of some seriously massive boats. There’s even a bit of Picasso history here if you’re into art stuff. It’s easy to just roam around and find something cool without trying too hard. Antibes has this relaxed pace that makes it great for strolling, snacking, and soaking in the sunshine. Would definitely recommend spending a day or two here.

Though tough to reach, the reward was immense: Antibes’ “jelly sea” was dazzling, crystal-clear and glowing under the sun—absolutely rivaling Capri. The 2-hour coastal hike was filled with breathtaking views; just don’t forget a shirt for sun protection!

That day, the weather was perfect—the sky looked like it was straight out of a comic book, with ever-changing clouds set against the backdrop of azure seas and skies. The sea breeze carried a salty tang, mingled with the fresh scent of coastal vegetation, while the sound of waves softly hummed in my ears. Walking and taking it all in, I couldn't help but smile, feeling completely relaxed. It's hard not to feel happy in a place like this.🌈 🍀I set out early in the morning, so the trail was nearly empty. I strolled at a leisurely pace, pausing now and then to admire the scenery or snap photos of the play of light and color. The entire walk took about two and a half hours. The trail is easy to follow, so there's no need to worry about getting lost. I used "Sentier du Litoral" for navigation, starting from the Fontaine bus stop and heading toward La Garoupe Beach, officially beginning this coastal stroll. 🚶‍♀️When I reached the famous "Millionaires' Bay" (Baie des Fourmis), the sight of luxurious villas nestled between the mountains and the sea, along with yachts docked in the harbor as if ready to set sail at any moment, made me envious of the leisurely lives of Europe's "old money"—lounging on their yachts, listening to music, and basking in the sun. However, the hike was nearly over by this point. Honestly, the trail felt too short—I wished it could have lasted longer.🌻 🚌Public buses in Antibes aren't frequent, running about once an hour. Impatient, I hailed a taxi from Fontaine station straight to Antibes train station, a quick ten-minute ride that cost 9 euros. At the train station, there's no need to buy tickets in advance. Simply purchase one from the ticket machines on the platform and board any train heading toward Nice—it couldn't be more convenient.🚝 💫It must be said that Southern France is the perfect place for spontaneity. Traveling here requires little planning—just follow your instincts, where "going with the flow" is the main theme.
