The lobby is grand and exudes luxury, with meticulous attention to detail throughout the hotel. If you have plans in the afternoon, you can check in early and leave; room information will be sent to your registered email, and you can collect your room key at the front desk later. We booked the basic Deluxe King Room, which is 47㎡ in size and priced at A$809 on the official website. Due to high occupancy, we were not upgraded but were assigned a room facing Darling Harbour. Upon entering the room, the bathroom and walk-in closet are on the left. The bathroom features double sinks and a round bathtub equipped with multimedia devices as standard. Unlike typical Australian hotels, this one provides personal care items like toothbrushes. Bath salts are also available next to the bathtub. The toilet is equipped with a remote-controlled smart system, though the motion sensor was not very responsive. The shampoo and body wash are from Melbourne-based skincare brand Grown Alchemist, considered a more affordable alternative to the Australian national brand Aēsop, and they feel great to use. The bed in the room is very comfortable, offering good support without being overly soft. However, Australian duvets are peculiar, resembling two sheets wrapped around a duvet insert with open ends. The bedside features light and curtain controls, as well as USB and Type-C charging ports, though both Type-C ports in our room were unfortunately broken 🥲. If you stay at this hotel, I highly recommend visiting the pool on the 5th floor, as the view is stunning. Our booking included breakfast at the Epicurean all-day dining restaurant, which was truly worth it. Overall, Crown Towers Sydney is highly recommended. Compared to the rooms at Shangri-La Sydney, which feel quite dated, this hotel is a great choice if you prefer a more modern experience.
