A Moment at Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France
Well… It was summer and heard that we still can see snow over there. Yes, no snow but still can see the ice on the mountain. It’s was a small town and heard this place pretty busy when winter come… yeah, Skiing⛷🏂 Here also one of the best places in for hiking and rock climbing .
Moving up the mountain by cable car the view was awesome and fantastic. Two attractions to see is the Sea of Ice and the Ice cave in Chamonix. The Sea of Ice is 7km long and 200m deep and always there even summer so does the Ice cave 😱 Thé Ice cave was very beautiful and blueish colour inside. Very cooling too. Amazing cave.🥰
Moving up a bit we reached Aiguille du Midi which is 3842m high 😲 it was snowing a bit up there 🥰 not cold but very cooling. We can’t go to the Mont-Blanc due to the fog 😞 It’s okay still a very happy and enjoyable trip.😘 Beautifil place. 😍👍👍👍 love it.
Getting There - We got there by train from Bordeaux.

The most magnificent viewing platform - Aiguille du Midi
📍Attraction address: Starting from the city center of Chamonix, it takes only 20 minutes to reach the summit of Piton Nord on the north peak of Aiguille du Midi by taking two sections of the Aiguille du Midi cable car, and then transfer to an elevator to reach the central main peak of Piton Central at 3,842 meters.
👍️Must-visit attraction: On July 8th, with clear weather☀️, on the twentieth day of the European trip, we took the French Aiguille du Midi cable car, which is the highest vertical cable car in the world. It takes only 20 minutes to ascend 2800 meters from the town of Chamonix to the Aiguille du Midi in the Alps. You can see Mont Blanc, the highest peak in Europe at 4,810 meters, on the right, and Le Dru at 3,754 meters, Les Grands Jorasses at 4,208 meters in Italy, and other peaks of the Alps on the left. Looking up at Mont Blanc and overlooking the snow-capped peaks, there is a feeling of being above all but one.
The thrilling steep cable car and the magnificent snow-capped mountain scenery that never melts make the Aiguille du Midi cable car the most famous and popular route in Chamonix. Taking the Aiguille du Midi cable car is a must-do in Chamonix.
🎟️Ticket information: No entrance fee, cable car price is 78 euros

La Flégère Ski Area

Brevent Flegere ski resort is the best place in Chamonix to gently acquire a tan whilst taking in the panoramic splendour
The place provides a great skiing experience.
We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of skiing at Brevent Flegere. The terrain in Brevent is more mellow, making it an excellent beginner & family ski area.
The cable car up is tediously slow, but tremendously child friendly.
At the end of the day, it provides one of the world’s best ski locations as the sun sinks behind the Mont Blanc glaciers.

Gulsafedah Begum Abdullah Tour de Mont Blanc in seven days
#localescapes
if you like mountain walking and like heavenly feelings, then Tour de Mont Blanc should be on your bucket list!
having done it in seven days, I would suggest:
1- pick the right month - Jul and Aug are peak rush and expensive months so try Sep - absolutely brilliant weather, easy to find accommodations and route isn't heaving.
2- split the stages in order to have average mileage each day.
3 - travel light - don't need hot clothing.
4 - and make sure you have plenty of liquid to keep you going.
Enjoy

Winter in France: Must-see attractions for the season
Metz (Mets) (Figure 2)
It is the central city of the Lorraine region and the capital of the Moselle province. Located on the road from Rome to Reims, it has been a transportation hub since ancient times. The beautiful city of Metz is a gem of France. It is only a few hours away from Paris by high-speed TGV train and is close to other European countries such as Germany, Luxembourg, and Belgium. Although it is a city worth visiting all year round, many attractions are indoors, making it suitable for sightseeing even in cold weather.
Annecy (Figure 3)
If you travel to France in winter, there is a must-visit place, which is Annecy. Located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in southeastern France, it is only about 42 kilometers away from Geneva, Switzerland. This destination is full of exciting activities all year round, but winter is the charming season for sightseeing. Surrounded by the French Alps, there are many ski resorts nearby for skiing holidays, including Semnoz ski resort, La Clusaz ski resort, and even Chamonix is not far away. Especially with the dreamy canals and iconic Lake Annecy, the other side of the lake is towering into the clouds. When you stroll along the old town to the lake, there is a thin layer of snow on the ground, which is really great.
Mangtong (Figure 4)
Those who want to spend winter in France without wearing a parka will love Menton. Menton, with its sunny weather, is located near northern Italy and has the most Mediterranean climate in the French Riviera.
Bordeaux
Bordeaux is a complete juxtaposition, managing to combine over 350 historical landmarks (second only to Paris in France) with modern design - some newer buildings and museums are stunning.
Nice
Nice is an excellent destination for French winter holidays. The capital of the French Riviera is a warm and sunny destination in the south of the country, with tourists all year round. Nice is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, with mild winters, and it's not too cold to stroll along the Promenade des Anglais and enjoy an ice cream. February is the Carnival of Nice, with beautiful parades in town. The nearby town of Menton also has a famous Lemon Festival (easy to reach from Nice for a day trip).
Paris
One of the best places to visit in France during winter is the capital city, Paris. Paris is always worth a visit, but in winter, it becomes even more magical! Everywhere you look, there are various decorations and winter activities, adding to the romantic atmosphere of the city - after all, this is Paris! Ice skating at the City Hall or under the Eiffel Tower - these are some of the best choices for a winter date in Paris. In addition, there is a lovely Christmas market along the Seine River and near the Eiffel Tower.
Kolmar
Colmar is an excellent destination for winter holidays in Europe. Colmar is a small town in eastern Alsace, France, famous for its picturesque half-timbered houses and is a must-visit place on the Alsace wine route. The Colmar Christmas market is actually composed of six different markets. They are all located in the old town, so you can easily walk from one market to another. It usually opens from mid-November to the end of December, attracting locals and tourists.
Mont Saint-Michel
Mont Saint-Michel is one of the most popular tourist destinations in France, on par with the Eiffel Tower. This small island is located in Normandy, about an hour's drive from the city of Rennes. Mont Saint-Michel is about one kilometer from the mainland and has only about 50 residents. The only way to get to the island is by walking on a pedestrian bridge, which takes about 40 minutes. A particularly popular destination is the Mont Saint-Michel Abbey, located at the highest point on the island and visible in every photo taken from the outside.

amazing day spent between stunning mountains and an unbelievable moment “in the sky “!
Chamonix, France is a resort area near Switzerland and Italy. It sits at the base of the highest summit in the Alps, Mount Blanc. When we finally made it to the top of the mountain, we were greeted with snow and fog. On a clear day, you would normally see massive peaks and breathtaking views of the town below. Though we didn’t get the spectacular views, we were still able to see some amazing cliffs and explore a bit of the buildings and restaurants that sit on a lower peak of the mountain. #awesomepic #france #alps #scenicspotguide #beautifulpics #travelinspiration
