The room was comfortable enough for a one-night stay, with the basic amenities needed for a short getaway. Love this place due to the direct access to the beach. The room is comfortable and clean, but I think its time to update some of the stuff inside the room. #newyearadventure Hidden gem in the woods by the beach. Resort crew are wonderful, units were tastefully designed. Only let down was the wave breakers along the beach, but you can still get some beach action towards the end of the resort at the clubhouse side. Food is great, especially the nasi lemak for breakfast. Milkshakes need a bit more of thickness. There's buggy to help you with luggages when check in and check out but other than that, walking around the resort is a calming experience. Good huge bedding as well! My husband and I had an incredible vacation—relaxing, refreshing, and festive. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The club is stunning, meticulously maintained, and flawlessly organized. The staff was polite, cheerful, and always greeted us warmly. Right from our arrival, welcomed by several GO members including the CDV, we felt special. The main pool and the Zen pool offered two different vibes, both delightful. The main restaurant provided an extensive buffet with diverse options—Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indian, French, and Italian cuisines. The specialty restaurant with à la carte service was equally worth visiting. The White Night was phenomenal, and the shows were entertaining. A big shoutout to Chloé, the "Miss Energy" of the team. If you’re looking for a straightforward, no-fuss place to crash in Cherating, Sunday Residence Inn (formerly Residence Inn Cherating) delivers on the essentials — though it comes with a few caveats. Here’s my take after a recent stay. The Good: Space, Comfort & Convenience The rooms here are genuinely spacious — a definite highlight. The beds are large, one kid can sleep comfortably together and having a private balcony is a nice touch for enjoying the evening breeze. The swimming pool in the middle of the property is another plus. Location is also a win. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach (about 5 minutes) and close to local dining spots. The area is quiet with beautiful scenery — ideal if you're after peace and relaxation. Plus, hotel provides free buggy service from hotel to beach if you prefer not to walk. The Not-So-Good: Dated & Tired Let's be honest — this hotel is old and clearly hasn't been renovated in a while. Final Verdict For a no fuss stay, the large room, big bed, balcony, pool, and buggy service are genuine perks. A solid choice for under RM200 stay in Cherating.

Firefly watching at night at 8pm · recommended · the owner was really expert in calling the fireflies over to our boat · some of the fireflies rested on my palm and I could observe them so closely 3.
