After 5 days of intense, non-stop sightseeing in Oxford, I was absolutely wiped out😩! I decided to escape to the town of Abingdon, less than 10 km away, and unlocked the most relaxed, slow-paced life in the UK! Who would have thought! This is the oldest town in Oxfordshire, with a history dating back hundreds of years before Oxford. Steeped in a thousand years of history, it's completely free from the commercial hustle and bustle of big cities. It's quiet, healing, and perfect for zoning out and doing nothing🍃! I got super lucky and happened to be here for the UK's annual Heritage Open Days! All the town's historic buildings were free to visit—such incredible value😭! Any old building you walk into is a medieval relic, and the ruins of the thousand-year-old abbey have an incredible atmosphere. Every brick and tile is steeped in history, offering an immersive journey back to ancient British times🏛️. The town isn't big, and you can easily walk around the whole thing. The streets are clean and vintage, lined with classical architecture—every photo looks like a scene from a British movie📸! There are no crowded tourists, just laid-back locals, quaint streets, and peaceful scenery. I had visited one of my friends place at Abingdon, Oxford, UK. I visited Oxford University and Some Museum nearby Oxford University. The place is really beautiful. I meet with a lot of people. Most of them were from China and Japan. I had the chance to know the ancient history of the people, which impressed me a lot. There was also a science Museum, which had some gadgets of old scientists inventions.
