I was lucky enough to be one of the handler‘s for a top racing team in 2018.  Broaden your horizons and discover all of the exciting facts about these amazing dogs and their mushers. The race has an amazing history as it used to be these trails were used to deliver medicine to the remote Indian tribes living up north and those original dog sled mushers were in a sort of silent competition….  The Iditarod has been called "the last great race on Earth"— a long, blistering competition across nearly 1000 miles of Alaskan wilderness. The race starts in March and snow determines the starting point. There are nearly 40 glaciers in Harding Icefield in Kenai Fjord National Park. This time I watched the Exit Glacier.
