Going on an African safari was a lifelong dream, and it exceeded all my expectations. My original hopes were to see the Big Five and visit Giraffe Manor, but I left with so much more. From the stunning wildlife to the remarkable people and accommodations, every aspect of the trip was perfect. With the help of our planner, Jose, we enjoyed a carefully crafted itinerary. My husband and I spent 3 days in Nairobi, embarked on a breathtaking 7-day safari through Kenya and Tanzania, and then wound down with 3 relaxing days in Zanzibar. It was the ideal blend of adventure and relaxation. Mose ensured everything in Kenya went smoothly, arranging airport pickup and a guide for our time in Nairobi. With Alex as our guide, we visited places like Snake Park, the Kenyatta International Conference Centre, and Karura Forest. Alex was knowledgeable and shared a wealth of cultural and historical insights. Walking through Karura Forest was especially memorable for its serene atmosphere and natural beauty. The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was another highlight in Nairobi. We saw a baby zebra and a black rhino, watched elephants play, and learned about their conservation efforts. Before leaving, we fostered a playful 3-year-old elephant. That evening, our stay at the famed Giraffe Manor felt magical—complete with its incredible food and service. The staff surprised me for my birthday with a cake and a Swahili rendition of Happy Birthday, making the day even more special. Waking up to giraffes outside our window was truly unforgettable. Our Maasai Mara safari began at Mara Bush Camp with John Tompoi, our amazing guide who quickly ticked off our wildlife wishlist. Within minutes of arriving, we spotted lionesses under trees. Over three days, we were treated to sightings of nearly every animal we hoped to see, except the elusive leopard. Mara Bush Camp was equally memorable, with fantastic food and regular visits from baboons, elephants, and hippos during mealtimes. In the Serengeti, our guide Yassin Kweka finally helped us spot a leopard while also showcasing breathtaking lion trees. He ensured our experience was exceptional, even taking us to a Maasai village. The Melia Serengeti offered stunning views and top-notch service. At the Ngorongoro Crater, we checked off the final Big Five—various black rhinos, including a mother and calf, roaming up-close. Melia Ngorongoro Lodge also impressed us with its comfort and quality. Our safari adventure concluded at Tarangire National Park, where we stayed at the picturesque Nimali Tarangire. While Tarangire was charming, the Serengeti, Maasai Mara, and Ngorongoro felt unparalleled. We wrapped up our journey with 3 serene days at The Palms Zanzibar, relaxing by the Indian Ocean and savoring amazing food. The trip was an unforgettable mix of wildlife, culture, and relaxation—a true adventure beyond my wildest dreams!

As I left Tarangire, it was not the number of animals that stayed with me, but the quiet moments between them: elephants silhouetted against ancient baobabs, dust rising in the golden afternoon light, and the feeling that this landscape still belongs to the wild. Visiting Tanzania and going on safaris at the beginning of May, right after the rainy season, comes with both advantages and disadvantages: · Fewer tourists · Lush, gorgeous landscapes · No crowding of vehicles all trying to photograph the same animal · High grass, making it harder to spot wildlife We explored Tarangire and Arusha National Parks with Samora Explorers. Our driver was incredibly dedicated and made every effort to help us see as many animals as possible. Personally, I’d choose the off-season every time over the high season because it’s much more pleasant to enjoy the parks without large crowds.

Day 1: Safari welcome to Tarangire National Park (2850 square km), one of the most famous homes for the wild animals especially elephants. it houses other animals including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, waterbuck, giraffe, impala, eland, gazelle etc. we were told that the fierce predators such as in lion, leopard, & cheetah are common here, but unfortunately during our 8hrs tours, none of them were anywhere in sight. we were quite disappointed but hoping to spot them tomorrow our guide told us that elephant drinks up to 50gallons (200lit) per day! wowww thats just like a lake to me to finish. we had soo much fun here #safari #nationalpark

Our stay at Lo Ray Collections was simply fantastic, making for a perfect addition to a safari in Tanzania. We arrived around 6 PM and were greeted by the extraordinary staff with cheer and enthusiasm. They welcomed us with warm, moist towels—such a thoughtful gesture to refresh ourselves and shake off the safari dust. After a brief briefing where they mentioned the chance to spot elephants, hyenas, and other wildlife nearby, they showed us to our accommodation. The lodgings were stunning: circular structures with a thatched roof and walls made of mud, stone, and straw, perfectly blending with the surrounding nature. The highlight was the glass wall opening onto a wooden terrace, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the park and Lake Manyara. We enjoyed a great night's sleep in a spacious and very comfortable bed. The property also features a gorgeous pool, perfect for relaxation. Before dinner, we experienced a magical moment—a glass of wine offered by the staff while we gathered around a lit fire, chatting with the ever-friendly team. Dinner was a delightful typical meal of excellent quality. This unique place, set in spectacular nature, is highly recommended for anyone planning a trip or safari in Tanzania.

We were met at Arusha airport and given a city tour. They took us to some excellent restaurants. We visited two parks, Tarangire and Ngorongoro. Everything was well-organized, without delays or issues. The team was friendly and communicative.
