The train travels from Chur/St.Moritz to Tirano, passing through 55 tunnels and over 196 bridges along the way, where every shot is a masterpiece. 🌉The most famous is the iconic Landwasser Viaduct, the viaduct, the Rhaetian Railway, and parts of the region have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The train winds around the high towers and plunges down, giving the sensation of riding a roller coaster🎢. 🚂When visiting Switzerland, I highly recommend taking a scenic train, and personally, I think the Bernina Express is the best part!

As seats are reserved in advance, everyone already has an assigned seat, so there was no rushing or searching for seats. We arrived slightly earlier to settle our luggage before enjoying the journey. ⸻ 🏔️ The Journey The scenery constantly changes throughout the journey. Snow-capped mountains. Peaceful Swiss villages. The experience of having the scenery framed by a panoramic sunroof, the feeling of "moving through an oil painting," is truly unforgettable! ✨ 🚉 Departure: Zurich → Chur Early in the morning, take the Swiss Federal Railways from Zurich's main train station to Chur (about 1 hour). This is the "appetizer." The city outside the window gradually transforms into a snow-covered landscape, the atmosphere is already building. 🎫 This ticket is definitely worth it! Transfer to the iconic red Glacier Express in Chur. Although it's pricey, I highly recommend first class. The seats are wider. The 2+1 layout means that if you're traveling with someone, grab a single window seat facing each other early; the privacy and the view are much better. 🍽️ Dining: The food was average, but the experience was divine (pp. 5-6) I pre-ordered lunch on the train. To be honest, the taste was standard "tourist food," nothing amazing. But! Imagine sipping coffee, surrounded by a 360° panoramic view of a snow-covered landscape – the immersive feeling of "dining in a painting" is truly an unforgettable experience. 🏔️ Scenery: A 6-Hour Snowscape Cinema This journey (Kur → Zermatt) takes approximately 7.5 hours, and the entire trip feels like watching a slow-motion snow documentary: snow-covered forests, frozen rivers, and small wooden cabins with smoke rising from their chimneys nestled in the valleys. As you cross mountain passes, you can see ski resorts and snow-covered cabins in the distance. Approaching Zermatt, the oppressive feeling of "getting closer and closer to the snow-capped mountains" gradually emerges. 🚂 The World's Slowest "Express Train" Even though the speed is only around 30 kilometers per hour, just when you're still immersed in the snowy scenery and haven't quite caught your breath, the announcement says, "Zermatt has arrived." At that moment, you'll truly marvel at how "fast" it is! This train has incredible staying power. Tips📌 ✅Glacier Express requires separate reservations on their website. Even with a Swiss Travel Pass, you can't avoid the reservation fee. You can't board without a reserved seat. ✅ During peak season (December-February), be sure to reserve your seat 2-3 months in advance on the official website or the SBB App, especially a window seat. ✅ The train is very warm; a light sweater is sufficient. But sunglasses are a must! The snow reflections and the panoramic sunroof will make your eyesight terrible without them.

I highly recommend visiting this fairytale city! The Old Town is very compact! St. Martin's Cathedral features beautiful stained glass windows by a contemporary artist. Right in front of the Egyptian Gates, there's an interesting historical museum. The cathedral itself is absolutely magnificent! I happened to catch a service—they played the organ and a violin! The treasury is right next door, but unfortunately, it was closed. The city is just charming!!!

After following Google Maps, you have to go into the building and walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor to find the restaurant. As for the food, I ordered the following: ➡️ Glass Noodle Salad ➡️ Pad Krapow Gai ➡️ Tom Yum Goong ➡️ Tom Kha Gai ➡️ Panang Pork Overall, everything tasted good, whether it was the spicy salad/Tom Yum, which was just right. The Panang Pork was fragrant with curry paste. The spiciness level was okay. Pad Krapow was fragrant with chili and basil. The taste was spicy and satisfying.
