The scenery was still beautiful. In the past, the old street was always lively. Although there were still a few tourists this time, the street finally regained its former tranquility. The stone-paved road showed more of its ancient charm. The shops on both sides were newly built but matched well with the old architecture, giving a feeling of century-old stores. At the end of the old street is Lanyu Park. The creek on the left side of the old street is abundant, with steps and a waterside platform under the trees. This creek isn’t very wide, but it’s a great spot for playing in the water, considered the first water play area in Fangjiahetou Village. Lanyu Park’s fixed attractions are the ancient trees and guesthouses. The biggest highlight is the pair of 500-year-old camphor trees known as the mandarin duck camphors. When I visited before, they were in their natural state, but now they have become a symbol of blessings and love. There is a beautiful photo spot here, where the ancient camphor trees and the nearby guesthouses with white walls and black tiles create a scenic view. It combines the quietness of the valley, the simplicity of old houses, and the freshness of green trees. No matter how you shoot, the photos come out great. Passing through the ancient tree park and going further leads to the real Lanyu Park. This area is a hub for guesthouses and farm stays, with many guesthouses and coffee shops. They are attractions themselves, and you can stroll around even without making a purchase. The water play area I mentioned is past these guesthouses, at the entrance to the ancient trail. This is also a creek beach where water flows over the road, forming a thin layer of small waterfalls. The upstream pool is shallow, so children can stand directly in the water. There are smooth stones nearby, making it very pleasant for water play. Perhaps because of recent rains, the scenery along the ancient trail to Sanjie Pavilion looks greener than usual. It blends ancient charm with fresh vibes. Whether hiking or taking photos, the experience is better than before. In short, I think visiting at this time is really comfortable. Travel tips: 1.
