👉 Our Visit to the Grand Mosque, Cotabato City 🕌
We visited the Grand Mosque / Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Cotabato City — such a breathtaking and peaceful spot! As tourists coming all the way from Luzon and traveling down to Mindanao, we’re so happy and impressed exploring this beautiful part of the Philippines 🕌🇵🇭

Mount Minandar!
The entrance fee for Mount Minandar is only 30 pesos per person (what a steal! 🙌). You’ll also need a guide—300 pesos and totally worth every cent! Your guide is like your mountain BFF, radio-ready and in constant touch with Station 1, keeping your squad safe of up to 15 people per guide and sound.
Oh, and don’t forget the 10-peso “cane” (probably a checkpoint or small fee) before you start the climb. Opening hours are bright and early: 5am to 4pm, so you can totally chase those moody mountain vibes—even if it’s cloudy or rainy! 🌧️
Mount Minandar’s trail is divided into 6 stations—perfect for taking breathers, snapping epic pics, and soaking in epic grassland views. It took me about 1.5 hours to the top (cardio, anyone?) and just an hour to cruise down. Honestly, the trek is SO worth it, especially with the wild grassland wetlands and panoramic outdoor scenery. It was at one point scary.
If you’re down for hiking with a side of nature’s drama, Mount Minandar is waiting for you! Address: Mount Minandar Trail, Maguindanao, Philippines.
Pro tip: Pack a raincoat if the weather’s acting up, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure! 🚶♂️🌄
Here’s my quick adventure guide for making the most of your trip—just like I did! 📸 I learned the hard way that booking early is the secret to locking in good rates (huge shoutout to trip.com for making that easy!). Saving money = more fun and fewer worries 💸.
Top Spots to Visit:
1. Enjoy Indoor Memories: One highlight of my trip was chilling indoors, snapping a sweet selfie with family. Sometimes the best moments happen away from the crowds—so don’t forget to create your own fun, especially on a rainy day!
2. Don’t Miss Local Attractions: Every city has its hidden gems. Check out local guides for unique activity spots, and make time for spontaneous indoor adventures when the weather isn’t playing nice.
Travel Hacks & Tips:
· Book Early, Save Big! I definitely recommend locking in hotels or tickets in advance through trip.com—you’ll catch better deals and peace of mind.
· Rainy Day Win: If the weather takes a turn, have a list of indoor activities up your sleeve (think selfie sessions, local museums, or cozy cafés).
· Keep It Light: When out and about, travel with just what you need, so you can pivot plans easily if inspiration strikes!
Getting Around:
Public transport is your budget bestie—download a local transit app and snag day passes for easy hop-on-hop-off sightseeing.
Foodie Pro Tip:
Ask locals about their favorite indoor eats—those tucked-away cafés and bakeries are always worth it!
Travel Smart:
Pack a power bank for those selfie moments, bring a reusable water bottle, and keep your bookings handy on your phone.
