3-Day National Day Family Getaway | We’ve tested these 6 small cities for you—no rushing, parent-friendly
Planning a family trip for the National Day holiday is always a struggle 😭. Popular cities are packed, and the constant rushing leaves both parents and kids exhausted.
We didn't want a "military-style" sightseeing trip; we just wanted a city with a relaxed pace, minimal hiking, and stroller-friendly paths—perfect for a slow 3-day, 2-night stay.
Avoiding the crowds, planning only 1–2 activities a day, leaving plenty of time for afternoon naps, and enjoying local comfort food—I’ve personally vetted these 6 cities. They are incredibly family-friendly, so feel free to follow our itinerary.

✨ Final thoughts
When traveling with kids during the National Day holiday, there's no need to try and visit every single attraction. Choose the right city, slow down, and stay a while—the kids will have a blast, and parents can truly relax.
You can choose based on your distance and your child's preferences: if you love the sea, choose Weihai; for mountains and forests, choose Anji or Yifeng; if you prefer ancient cities and culture, choose Linhai, Xinzhou, or Shaoxing.
Wishing everyone a comfortable and hassle-free National Day family vacation.
