Our last night in Melbourne was spent at the Grand Hotel in the Docklands area. It's a short walk to the Southern Cross station and Spencer Street Outlet where the shops and transport are so it's very convenient🛍️ The decor was amazing, and authentic like the other vintage hotels we stayed, but they all have their unique charm🌹 Denis, the owner/manager is such a nice man! He told mummy on the phone that they'd take great care of us, which they did! He also left us a card and some complementary Lindt chocolates. What a lovely touch to make your guests feel welcome!🍫 We would highly recommend the Grand Hotel, or any vintage place we stayed in for that matter. It's like sleeping in a museum. Melbourne City Marina is an inner harbor surrounded by tall buildings. Although you can't see the beach, the view is wide, the air is fresh, and there are fewer tourists. It's a relatively niche attraction, perfect for relaxing and daydreaming. The other pier, St Kilda Pier, is a more popular attraction. Here, you can ride the Ferris wheel, play parasailing, go down to the beach to surf, and watch the sunset in the evening. At this time of year, you can also walk along the boardwalk to the sea to see the little penguins returning home after sunset (unfortunately, it was too dark to take clear pictures, but there were two little penguins next to the black stones). A reminder for those who want to see the penguins: it can be quite cold and windy by the sea at night, so remember to wear warm clothes, preferably with a hat. The penguins only come ashore after sunset, and we didn't see them until after 9:40 pm.

I was able to enjoy modern architecture and beautiful scenery while walking along the harbor. The night view is especially great, and the sparkling city lights reflected on the water are truly fantastic. There are various restaurants and cafes, so it is a good place to enjoy a cup of coffee after dinner. There are also many shopping malls and entertainment facilities in Docklands, so there are many things to do all day long. I recommend visiting it at least once during your trip to Melbourne.

I didn't think it would be famous with Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour. It's rare that the weather is sunny after the rain, so I came to the seaside Dockland for sightseeing. Ten minutes walk from southern cross station, very close, the sea breeze is very comfortable. Seeing a lot of yachts reminded me that Sai Kung can go out to sea and enjoy the scenery, unfortunately it is winter now so this will have to wait until the summer time. Along the way you can see many very distinctive buildings and beautiful buildings, as well as a Ferris wheel. It turned out to have stopped working due to safety issues. The pandemic still seems to have had a lot of impact on a lot of retail, so there are not many stores opening in nearby shopping centers. Overall it was quite comfortable to go and enjoy the sea breeze in the afternoon

I had a wonderful stay while attending a conference, which was conveniently held at the hotel. Having everything in one place made the experience seamless and allowed me to truly enjoy my time, despite a busy schedule. The location was ideal, making it easy to navigate and explore the area. The room was spacious, beautiful, and incredibly comfortable, and I looked forward to returning to it each evening. The food was also a standout—everything was delicious, and the restaurant and bar had a fantastic vibe. The staff contributed greatly to my enjoyment; they were warm, friendly, and consistently helpful, ensuring excellent service throughout my visit. Overall, the hotel offered a beautiful setting, convenient location, amazing dining, and remarkable hospitality. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it for both business and leisure stays.

The apartment had a fantastic quiet location with lovely views of Docklands. It was conveniently close to restaurants and the tramway, making it easy to walk around Docklands and even into Melbourne. Kate was excellent in providing clear access instructions, including details about parking and getting into the apartment. Overall, an excellent stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Nesuto Apartment Hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our visit. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and we truly appreciated the excellent service provided. The location is fantastic, with plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby, plus trams just around the corner, making everything incredibly convenient. I would definitely stay at Nesuto again when I return to Melbourne.

The Melbourne Star Observation Wheel in Docklands is absolutely wonderful! 🎡 It offers breathtaking, panoramic views of Melbourne’s skyline, the bay, and the beautiful surrounding areas—especially stunning at sunset or when the city lights up at night. The ride is smooth, peaceful, and well-maintained. The Docklands area itself is vibrant and lovely to explore, with waterfront promenades, great cafes, and a lively atmosphere. The Melbourne Star is such an iconic attraction; it’s clean, staff are friendly, and the whole experience feels special. Whether you’re a local or visiting Melbourne, this is definitely worth your time! Highly recommended ✨

Our stay at Sobel Docklands was mixed. We didn’t receive the room we requested, and the room itself was much smaller than expected—this really took away from our anniversary celebration, and we sadly didn’t enjoy the special occasion as we’d hoped. That said, the hotel’s location in Docklands is excellent: it’s close to lovely restaurants and attractions, and the surrounding area is beautiful and convenient.
