3-Day Newcastle – Tamworth – Armidale – Coffs Harbour Trip Itinerary (25–27 December 2025) Day 1 – 25 December 2025 | Newcastle → Tamworth → Armidale We began our journey from Newcastle and drove to Tamworth, where we visited the iconic Big Golden Guitar and enjoyed panoramic views from the Tamworth Lookout. After spending time in Tamworth, we continued our drive to Armidale, enjoying the scenic landscapes of the New England region and relaxing in the town’s cool and peaceful atmosphere. Day 2 – 26 December 2025 | Waterfall Scenic Drive → Coffs Harbour On the second day, we took a scenic waterfall route through New England and Dorrigo National Park. Highlights included Wollomombi Falls, Chandler Falls, Ebor Falls, and Dangar Falls. The lush scenery and dramatic viewpoints made this day a major highlight of the trip. Afterward, we continued to Coffs Harbour. We stayed at a home accommodation in Boambee, which was spacious, clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced—highly recommended. Day 3 – 27 December 2025 | Coffs Harbour → Newcastle The final day was spent exploring Coffs Harbour, enjoying its coastal attractions and relaxed atmosphere. After sightseeing and a leisurely break, we drove back to Newcastle, concluding a memorable Christmas road trip.

Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the stunning scenery and wear comfortable walking shoes. Dorrigo National Park is a haven for nature lovers, offering a perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. I left with a heart full of awe and a promise to return.
