Started in the lush subtropical fruit garden (dragon fruit, papaya, and white sapote right overhead), then got lost in the peaceful bamboo grove, walked under a canopy of blooming jacarandas in the Australian garden, and ended up in the Hamilton Children’s Garden where my inner kid ran wild on the giant treehouse and seed-pod sculptures. The light and shadow show will return for the fourth year from November 14 to January 4 at the 37-acre San Diego Encinitas Botanical Garden. This enchanting one-mile-long light trail has been redesigned to feature brand-new eye-catching art installations by international artists, presenting a spectacular scene.
