If you’re visiting Florianópolis, save this one. There’s a short coastal trail in Barra da Lagoa that takes you to the famous natural pools — and getting there is actually pretty easy. How to get there: Head to Barra da Lagoa and cross the bridge over the canal. Turn left and follow the little residential streets toward Prainha da Barra. Keep going until you reach the trail entrance, where signs point you toward the natural pools. From there, it’s about a 20-minute walk. I found the trail really safe, peaceful and easy to follow. Most of the way is open and well marked, with beautiful views of the coastline along the way. But here’s something I wish I had known before going: The natural pools depend on the sea conditions. 🌊 When we went, the ocean was too rough, so we couldn’t actually see the calm natural pools I had expected. The area is made up of rocks along the coast, and when the sea is calmer, the water fills the rocky formations and creates the “pools” you see in photos. So if swimming is your main goal, check the tide and sea conditions before you go. Even without the pools, I thought the hike was worth it. And there was a little surprise at the end: a small stand selling drinks and snacks — perfect for a little break after the walk. #skylinescapes I’ve seen the Hercílio Luz Bridge from so many different angles, but I think this might be my favorite. There’s something about seeing the bridge stretching across the water with Florianópolis in the background that never gets old. It’s especially beautiful around sunset, when the light changes the whole view. If you’re visiting Florianópolis, don’t just cross the bridge — stop and take a moment to actually look at it. This is one of those views that makes me understand why I love this city.

The service at the Posh Club was excellent. All the staff were very friendly, and the attention from the chefs was wonderful. Hassan, in particular, took special care of us, being very approachable and quick to assist in every way. Overall, it’s a hotel we can highly recommend—very clean, comfortable, and a great place to spend enjoyable time.

The place where my family visited for 10 days was truly amazing. The food was fantastic, with a variety of restaurants offering cuisines like Greek, Thai, Chinese, and more. We stayed in the premium segment, the Posh Club, where our rooms had swimming pools, and the coast was just 30 meters away, making it extremely convenient. The staff did an outstanding job. They organized diverse entertainment, including yoga sessions, kids' discos, and parties for adults. Every day, we knew exactly what activities were scheduled because the hotel staff personally invited us and provided all the details. It’s also a very quiet place to stay, perfect for anyone needing a break from the daily noisy routine. A perfect summer day for me starts on a trail in Florianópolis. Hiking through the Atlantic Forest, climbing to viewpoints where green mountains meet the deep blue ocean, and enjoying landscapes that make every step worthwhile. The best part? Many of these trails end at secluded beaches, where a refreshing swim feels like the perfect reward after the hike. The island is full of hiking trails, and many of them reward you with incredible viewpoints or beaches that can only be reached on foot. 📍 The photo was taken from Morro do Lampião, in Campeche It's a relatively easy hike with about 240 meters of elevation, taking around 40 to 60 minutes to reach the top, depending on your pace. The reward? A panoramic view over Campeche Beach, Joaquina, and the stunning Ilha do Campeche, whose turquoise waters almost look tropical on sunny days 🤩 My other two favorite hikes are Lagoinha do Leste and Naufragados. They're longer than Morro do Lampião, but finishing the hike by relaxing on a quiet beach and jumping into the sea makes every step worthwhile... ☀️ Summer is my favorite season for these hikes. We recently enjoyed an amazing holiday at the resort, and it became even more special when we got engaged during our stay! From the start, check-in was smooth, quick, and welcoming, which set the perfect tone for the trip. The service throughout the resort was outstanding, with staff consistently friendly, attentive, and eager to assist. One area for improvement would be the vegan food options, specifically the labelling across all restaurants. As a vegan guest, I occasionally struggled to identify suitable dishes. While the staff kindly assured us they could prepare almost anything upon request, I would have preferred having more clearly labelled vegan choices readily available on menus and buffets. After sharing this feedback, we were graciously upgraded to the Posh Club, dramatically enhancing our experience. The vegan options there were excellent, and the chef went above and beyond to prepare additional dishes to order. Special recognition is due to the Posh Club and main buffet restaurant teams, whose service was exceptional throughout our stay. The lifeguard was incredibly attentive, assisting with towels and adjusting parasols throughout the day for guests’ comfort. Similarly, the bar staff were delightful—always friendly and efficient—and the chef worked diligently to cater to dietary needs. The highlight of our holiday was undoubtedly our engagement. The staff at the Posh Club helped my fiancé organize the most magical and memorable dinner, making the occasion truly unforgettable. This was a heartwarming and touching charity journey. With love and responsibility, we entered a land in need, spreading warmth and hope. We might visit remote mountain areas, delivering books and stationery to children, witnessing the sparkle in their eyes, and feeling the power of knowledge and the light of hope. We might visit elderly people living alone, chatting with them, helping them clean, listening to their long-forgotten stories, and feeling the vicissitudes of time and the resilience of life. This trip was the ultimate practice of love, allowing us to heal our own hearts while helping others. In giving, we learned gratitude and appreciation, tolerance and understanding, and how to find greatness in the ordinary. Although the same urbanization that facilitates the life and access of tourists draws a bit of the originality of that ancient fishing village, Santo Antonio still preserves a rather rustic atmosphere in the capital. Sitting at one of the tables on the sidewalk to have a drink at night is definitely a great experience to be lived on a tour of the island. Super cozy place, with several options of restaurants and bars. It has a historic part and beach with oysters farms and a wonderful sunset.
