Got the app and a railcard to treat the grandchildren during the summer holidays. The first experience was fantastic—tickets were booked online with reserved seats included. The train was clean and comfortable. Platform staff at Grantham and Leeds were very friendly, professional, and courteous. They truly made it a memorable day out.

We arrived about 30 minutes before check-in and were pleased to find our room ready. Parking was free, and the room was very spacious, featuring a large bathroom with both a shower and bath, plus his-and-hers sinks. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. We had booked the Sunday carvery beforehand, which was enjoyable—three courses for £25. The spa facilities were nice but unfortunately quite crowded, leaving no chairs or loungers available, which was a bit disappointing. Breakfast was good with just the right amount of options.
