Grottaferrata travel guide and discussion

We celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday at this beautiful venue. The staff was extremely kind and professional. A special thanks to Diletta and the head waiter who paid attention to every little detail. The rooms were spotless and spacious.

During my trip to the Castelli Romani, organized by a travel agency from my city, I spent three nights at Park Hotel Villa Ferrata in Grottaferrata, just a few kilometers from Rome. The location is absolutely stunning—this three-star hotel is set within a vast, historic park. Guests can enjoy beautiful gardens with fountains, an outdoor pool, an internal chapel, and elegant halls. My stay included half-board, so I had accommodations, dinner, and breakfast. My room was clean, welcoming, and warm. Dinner was a delightful experience, thanks to the professional, kind, and helpful staff. However, I deducted one star for breakfast because at 7:45 AM, the yogurt was already gone and couldn't be replenished. That was the only drawback of my stay. Despite this minor hiccup, everything else was excellent, especially since I don’t eat meat and always had a suitable alternative. Overall, Park Hotel Villa Ferrata is a great option if you wish to explore the Castelli Romani without traveling far. Grottaferrata is definitely worth experiencing!

Grottaferrata is a nice town among the so called Castelli Romani and Abbazia of San Nilo is a wonderful example of the medieval times in Italy where monks were keeping alive culture and arts.
