The Swiss Travel Pass gives you unlimited travel on trains, buses, boats, panoramic trains, and local buses and trams in more than 90 towns and cities. If your itinerary is packed and you plan to travel to a different destination almost every day, this pass offers great convenience and value. I prefer a slower and more relaxed style of travel, so I chose the Swiss Half Fare Card instead. It gives me 50% off most train, bus, boat, and mountain transport fares, which worked out better for my itinerary. If you're staying in Interlaken, there's another bonus to keep in mind. Most hotels and Airbnb hosts provide an Interlaken Guest Card, which gives you free travel on local public buses within the Interlaken area. This can help you save even more, especially if you're using the Half Fare Card. There isn't a "best" pass for everyone. It all depends on how you plan to travel. Before buying a pass, list down the journeys and mountain excursions you want to take, add up the costs, and compare them with the price of each pass. A little planning can save you a lot of money. Do the math first, then choose the pass that best suits your itinerary, travel style, and budget.

**Blausse – Where I experienced a winter more beautiful than I could ever imagine** Getting to Lake Blausse isn't exactly a walk in the park. From Interlaken, I took a train to Spiez, transferred to another train heading to Frutigen, and finally hopped on a bus to reach my destination. The roads were quite slippery that day as it had just started to snow—making it the very first time in my life I had ever seen real snow falling. Before the trip, I had looked at countless photos of Lake Blausse in the summer. Emerald waters, lush greenery, and picture-perfect scenery. So, when visiting in the winter, I assumed the place might lose some of its charm. I pictured bare trees, everything blanketed in white snow, and a somewhat bleak atmosphere. But Blausse completely blew me away. The lake still held onto its magical emerald hue, so crystal-clear that you could see all the way to the bottom. Rows of pine and coniferous trees, dusted with a thin layer of snow, stood silently along the water's edge. Snowflakes drifted down gently, blanketing the landscape in a beauty that was both serene and surreal. Immersed in that scenery, I almost completely forgot about the cold. All that remained was pure awe as I stood in the midst of a pristine white world, gazing at the vibrant blue lake standing out against the winter backdrop. That exact moment made me feel as if I had just stepped straight into a fairy tale, or like I was a snow princess in my very own winter wonderland.
