Covered in moss and surrounded by greenery, the site offers a magical, Ghibli-like ambiance. It's just a five-minute drive from the power plant, and we highly recommend stopping by. Measuring 210 meters wide and 12 meters high, this waterfall is also known as the "Niagara of the Orient," gushing forth with an overwhelming volume of water. It had just rained, so the water was even higher, making it quite thrilling. There are several observation decks, but don't miss the thrilling glass-panel observation deck tucked away above the falls. Sogi Falls Park is reasonably spacious, making it just the right size for a nature walk or picnic. There's also a shrine dedicated to the god of matchmaking, parts of the power plant ruins, and stone monuments associated with famous authors. The water was murky because it was the day after it rained, but the volume was high and it was very impressive!! I love waterfalls and have seen famous waterfalls all over Japan, but this is the first time I've seen one of this size. There is an observation deck so you can go right up to it and take photos. The water spray is amazing. #cherryblossom2024 Tadamoto Park is located in the vicinity of the city of Isa in the north of Kagoshima Prefecture. This is one of the best places in Japan for hanami parties and admiring the cherry blossoms. The picturesque park stretches for more than two kilometers and in spring it is almost completely painted in all shades of white and pink for a short time. How to get there The park can be reached by bus. It takes one hour to drive from Shin-Minamata Station on the Kyushu Shinkansen Line. A bus from Kagoshima Airport also stops at the park. When does the sakura blossom? Sakura usually blooms here from the end of March to the beginning of April. During this period, in the early evening, the trees are illuminated with lanterns. The park also hosts large-scale light shows, during which the trees shimmer with many colors.
