Iwata travel guide and discussion

Iwata Grand Hotel has been renovated and is now open as Grinity Iwata. If you are traveling by train, take a taxi from Iwata Station or Mikuriya Station. If you are traveling by car, take the Iwai Exit at the National Route 1 from the Tomei Iwata IC and the hotel is right there. The space is lovely from the entrance to the garden. The day spa also has a sauna loyly, making it the ultimate relaxing space. This time I had an Italian lunch for 5,000 yen, but there were other courses available. Next time I'd like to try the Japanese food. #DomesticTravel #ShizuokaTrip #LuxuryHotel @#DaySpa #Sauna #Loyly #GrinityIwata #EcoPaArena 📍Location:

This is a JR Tokaido Line station located in Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It's a new station that opened in March 2020 between Iwata and Fukuroi stations. It's close to the Yamaha Motor headquarters and, due to naming rights, has been given the nickname "Yamaha Motor-mae" (in front of Yamaha Motor). It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Yamaha Motor headquarters and the adjacent Jubilo Stadium. While there are rotary areas to the north and south of the station, the surrounding area consists only of houses and factories, and shops and restaurants are quite far away. #Shizuoka Prefecture #Iwata City

A Must-See for Anyone Wondering Where to Stay for Their Anniversary!!! Rooms with open-air baths available Spacious facilities. 📍Glinity Iwata A Must-See for Anyone Wondering Where to Stay for Their Anniversary!!! Rooms with open-air baths available⭕️ Large public baths and saunas on-site⭕️ Stylish indoor spaces, architecture, and design Highly recommended for a staycation This is a premium space enveloped in gentle light and sophisticated design. This time, I stayed in the Retreat Twin (with a natural hot spring semi-open-air bath). The very first thing you feel the moment you step into the room is a "sense of openness." Soft indirect lighting gently illuminates the space, and the interior, unified in calming tones, features a design that exudes mature elegance. Through the window, greenery sways gently, and there's a comforting feel as the fresh outside air flows right in. The semi-open-air hot spring exclusive to the guest room offers a luxurious time to enjoy a bath without any interruptions. As I sank into the tub, the tranquility and warmth gradually spread, and before I knew it, my heart felt completely relaxed. The on-site large public baths, "Daichi" and "Sora," are also truly impressive. "Daichi" offers "tranquil healing" created by the beauty of straight lines and light, while "Sora" envelops you in "warmth" with its gentle lines and soft lighting. Both are highly aesthetic, allowing you to spend time as if you've stepped into another world. And the highly anticipated meal was served in a set menu style featuring dishes made with seasonal ingredients. The colorful presentation was beautiful, and each dish was meticulously prepared, making it an experience to be enjoyed with both the eyes and the palate. *Photos of the large public baths were taken with special permission.

If you think you’ve tried ramen, think again. This specialty 鯛そば (Tai Soba)—sea bream ramen—brings a refined, almost elegant twist to Japan’s soul food. Housed in a charming traditional-style building, this local gem serves a beautifully clear, golden broth made from premium sea bream. Light, delicate, and packed with umami, it’s a refreshing change from heavier tonkotsu styles. ✨ What makes it special? · Crystal-clear tai (sea bream) broth · Silky straight noodles · Perfectly jammy ajitama egg · Tender slices of pork · Fresh greens and seaweed for balance The presentation is minimalist and stunning—every bowl looks like it belongs in a food magazine. Inside, warm wooden interiors and counter seating give it that authentic, neighborhood feel. If you’re exploring Japan beyond the usual tourist ramen chains, this is the kind of spot worth seeking out. Clean flavours, local ingredients, and serious craftsmanship. 📍Tip: Go for the set with toppings on the side so you can taste the pure broth first. #JapanEats #RamenLovers #TaiSoba #HiddenJapan #FoodieFinds #TripMoments

I go strawberry picking every year, and this is one of my favorite spots. I went to Kurimi Strawberry Farm🍓 in Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture! I went there once two years ago on a recommendation from a friend, and although I've been to other places, this is still my favorite. 💖 First of all, it's not just strawberries, they also have waffles, fresh cream, chocolate fondue, ice cream, and other foods to go with them! If you get bored of just strawberries and condensed milk, this is the place for you! If you want, they'll provide you with parfait cups so you can make your own original strawberry parfait! They had two varieties of strawberries: Benihoppe and Akihime! There's a parking lot, so I recommend coming by car! I went on a Saturday, so there were a lot of families there! Reservations are required, and you can make them through their website.

We head to Le Pot-feu, a long-established French restaurant located on the second floor of Miraini, a one-minute walk from Sakata Station. This restaurant, which carefully prepares seasonal local Shonai ingredients, was founded in the 1970s. It is a famous restaurant that is said to have been the driving force behind the creation of the term "Sakata French." Lunchtime is 11:30-15:00 (last orders 14:00). The interior has large, open windows, and gentle light streams in, creating a space that will help you relax. They also have a children's plate! 📍Le Pot au Feu 📞 0234-26-2218 🕰️ Lunch 11:30-15:00 (last orders 14:00) / Dinner 18:00-21:00 (last orders 20:00) 📅 Closed: Wednesdays (open on public holidays) 📍 2nd floor of Miraini, 1-10-20 Saiwai-cho, Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture (right next to Sakata Station) #AbsolutelyFreeTravel

It carries on the tradition of the approximately 50-year-old Iwata Grand Hotel while incorporating elements of modern lifestyle, aiming to become a symbol of Iwata and enrich the lives of people and the local community. The hotel features various facilities, including an all-day dining restaurant, a Japanese cuisine restaurant, teppanyaki, a lounge, a rooftop bar, hot springs and sauna, a chapel, and banquet halls. #urbanwanderings visited on the first day of opening. It was a relaxing resort hotel. The sauna and hot springs are spacious and have a nice feel. The Cuban sandwich and cocktail I had at the bar were delicious,Also recommended is the open-air bath! The warm water allows you to soak in the water comfortably for a long time as a relaxing time after a refreshing bath. The Moor spring, which flows directly from the source, has a nice fragrance and I was able to spend a very luxurious time, overall this place is ok

I went to "Mitsuke Tenjin" in #Iwata City, #Shizuoka Prefecture ((((((っ･ω･)っ A shrine that Rin-chan also visited in "Yuru Camp" The shrine is dedicated to the spirit dog Shippei Taro, and there is a Shippei fortune-telling slip at the shrine office, so I tried it too ε٩(๑>ω<)۶з The result was great luck ⸜((˙꒳˙ ))⸝ ﾄﾞﾔｯ The first sentence was "Without looking back, charge ahead with single-minded concentration" I'm going to go on a spree with Shinobi-chan ꉂꉂ(>ᗜ<*) Next to the Shippei fortune-telling slip is a metal offering box that Rin-chan bought (〃艸〃)♡ The style is to put the fortune-telling slip money in there There was also a traffic safety charm that can be attached to the handlebars, so I bought one too ( ´͈ ᵕ `͈ ) There was a sacred dog shrine behind Mitsuke Shrine, so I stopped by there too. ｡｡"8-(*o･ω･)o TEKTEK 🏍Mitsuke Tenjin🏍 Address: 1114-2 Mitsuke, Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture Worship hours: 24 hours Shrine hours: 8:30-16:45 #Touring2024 #100TravelStyles #ConnectWithPeopleWhoLikeMotorcycles #ConnectWithPeopleWhoLikeSightseeing #ConnectWithPeopleWhoLikeTraveling #ShizuokaTouristSightseeing #ShizuokaTouristSightseeing #IwataTouristSightseeing #IwataTouristSightseeing #ShizuokaTouring #TouristSightseeing #TouristSpots ...Sightseeing #Shinobi-chan #SacredDogShrine #ShippeiTaro #YuruCamp #YuruCampHolySpot #YuruCampHolySpotsPilgrimage

I don't usually eat much ramen when I travel, but I'd like to introduce a tai ramen specialty restaurant that I'd like to visit again. ✨ They operate an izakaya that serves tai soba on weekdays and sushi and tempura on weekends. [Recommended points] ① They serve ramen in the morning! ! ▶︎They're open Wednesday through Sunday from 6:00 to 8:30. They're apparently very busy in the morning! ! ② The ramen is relatively light, so it's easy for women and children to eat! ! ③ They're also family-friendly! ! ▶︎If you make a reservation in advance, you can enjoy your meal in a tatami room. ④ The first anniversary was on April 4th, so they're holding an event until the 12th. ✨ ▶︎They're also holding a lottery for discount coupons that can be used on future visits! ! [Notes] They also have a second parking lot. ▶︎It's a little hard to find, but if you don't know where it is, the staff will kindly explain it to you! ! #Tai Ramen #Tai Soba #Iwata #Iwata Gourmet #Sakura 2024
