Legend has it that passing boats would stow their sails and "stop their bowstrings" (Tingxian) here, hence the name. Old blue-brick houses stretch along the riverbank, while ancient granite docks and ancestral shrines remain quietly, blending the Jingchu water transport culture with the Huxiang agricultural civilization. Expansive flat fields stretch along both sides of the river, and ancient willows gracefully brush against the clear streams. Free from clustered shops and swarms of tourists, the village beautifully preserves the rustic and authentic vibe of riverside country life. Upon arriving, everyone shed the constraints of their workplace identities, tossed aside the seriousness and formality of the office, and kicked off a relaxed, carefree team stroll. We walked together along the ancient embankment paths, teamed up to hunt for ancient ferry ruins, snapped fun photos of each other, and chatted about our lives outside of work. Usually quiet coworkers gradually warmed up to the lively vibe, and even our more serious senior colleagues showed their playful, laid-back sides. While navigating the undulating embankment trails, the more energetic folks naturally slowed down to wait for the rest. Thoughtful teammates kept an eye out for slippery stone steps and warned each other—no one rushed ahead alone, and everyone looked out for one another. During our downtime, we paused to listen to old tales of passing boats and resting merchants, letting our inner defenses melt away in the refreshing river breeze and scenic views. The once-stiff distance between us slowly faded with the wind, allowing us to see the genuine, warm personalities of our peers beyond the workplace. It turns out that a great team not only collaborates seamlessly on the job but also enjoys each other's company effortlessly during downtime. This ancient village stroll served as a gentle bridge, bringing our hearts closer together. Moving forward, we'll carry this newfound harmony and unspoken bond, uniting our hearts as we journey together toward every beautiful road ahead.

Sticking to familiar work routines for too long easily makes our thinking rigid. We get used to staying in our comfort zone, reluctant to try new methods and embrace new challenges, leaving the team's overall state stagnant and lacking the vitality needed for breakthrough and innovation. To break out of this box, we headed to the ancient village of Tingxiandu along the Lishui River. Amidst the legend-filled ruins of this water town, we forged the courage to push our limits by exploring an unfamiliar environment. Tingxiandu, named after the legend of Sima Xiangru stopping his zither and breaking its strings, has been a crucial ferry crossing on the Lishui River since the Han Dynasty. In ancient times, it was a bustling hub of boats and merchants. Today, old blue-brick houses line the banks, and the weathered steps of the ancient pier stand quietly by the water, bearing the cultural heritage of water transport on the western shores of Dongting Lake. With sprawling fields and the quietly flowing Lishui River, the area remains untouched and rustic, with very few tourists. We skipped the conventional sightseeing routes and chose to explore the village's crisscrossing alleys and riverside paths on our own. Some of the waterfront trails were rugged and slippery, and initially, many team members were hesitant. However, teammates encouraged one another—some led the way, while others waited behind, offering a helping hand to keep everyone moving forward together. When faced with unfamiliar forks in the road, we stopped relying on old ways of thinking, eagerly pitching different ideas, learning from each other, and making flexible adjustments. With the river breeze on our faces and a deep sense of ancient charm around us, we freed our minds from their constraints during this journey into the unknown, discovering many unexpected, breathtaking views along the way. This trip taught us that, whether in travel or at work, backing down from difficulties will only keep us stagnant. Only by daring to try and working together can we overcome any obstacle. Moving forward, we will shake off the shackles of conservatism, embrace innovation and breakthroughs, unite our team's vitality, and march toward a broader path ahead.
