Purchased tickets to Silver Cave through Trip.com, and from start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. The stalactites and stalagmites within the cave are absolutely stunning and aesthetically pleasing—their forms enhanced beautifully by colorful lighting throughout the chambers. The vibrant illumination creates mesmerizing effects, and on some cave walls, impressive images such as a firebird are projected, adding to the magic of the surroundings. Safety was clearly a priority in Silver Cave. The steps inside are not slippery, making it comfortable and secure to walk around. It was also reassuring to occasionally see staff members stationed along the route, always ready to assist if needed. The cave is kept at a comfortable temperature, thanks to an effective air conditioning system, which made exploring so much more pleasant. Occasionally, gentle Chinese music played in the background, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere. A particularly helpful touch is the audio guide available at the entrance, offered in both English and Chinese. This provided interesting insights as we moved through the cave's fascinating formations. For anyone considering a visit, I highly recommend Silver Cave. Yangshuo was easily one of the most beautiful places we visited in China. ⛰️✨ It’s around 70km from Guilin, so getting there by taxi without pre-booking can get surprisingly expensive, but once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it. We explored the incredible Silver Cave, hiked up Xianggong Mountain for sunrise, experienced the complete chaos of West Street, and then happily escaped to the quieter parts of town to try some of the local food. The dramatic karst mountains are everywhere you look and served as the most beautiful, almost magical backdrop to our few days here. I recommend going before 10 AM or after 4 PM. The cave is actually quite cool inside. I saw many people say it was stuffy, but it was actually fine. It only gets truly sweltering after you come out. It's quite suitable for kids. They give out audio guides at the entrance. I was too lazy to listen, but there was a cute little boy listening very attentively, and he was explaining it to his family as he listened. It was really heartwarming to see. Online tickets are only for adults; seniors and children can buy half-price tickets on-site. I didn't know that and bought 4 adult tickets. Fortunately, when I was redeeming the tickets, the staff let me cancel them and buy half-price tickets instead. Thumbs up for that. There really aren't many places to eat, and the food isn't that great. I suggest eating in Yangshuo instead.
