It’s been featured by National Geographic and is hailed as “China’s most beautiful terraced fields,” recently upgraded to a 5A-level scenic spot. Just go for it—head there directly this weekend! 🌾 1. Why are Yunhe Terraces so legendary? A thousand years of history, 700 layers of terraces, the largest in East China! Yunhe Terraces were first developed in the early Tang Dynasty, with over a thousand years of history. Covering an area of 51 square kilometers, with a vertical height difference of more than 1,200 meters and over 700 layers, it’s the largest terraced field group in East China. From the foot to the top of the mountain, the terraces stack layer upon layer like a ladder to the sky. The awe-inspiring sight can only be truly understood by seeing it in person! All seasons are stunning, but I personally recommend spring and winter! 🌱 Spring (April to June): The terraces start to fill with water, reflecting the sky like countless mirrors. At sunrise, the sea of clouds surges and the rosy light spreads everywhere—every shot looks like a wallpaper! 🌾 Autumn (September to October): Golden rice fields, waves of grain swaying in the wind, the whole mountain is dressed in golden armor! ❄️ Winter (December to February): If you’re lucky to catch snow, the terraces are covered in white, peaceful like a fairy tale world! 2.
