Booked a car rental in Maidstone, Kent on Trip.com — the service and overall experience were fantastic! I opted for a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, which was a pleasure to drive and added a touch of luxury to my journey. 🚗 The process at the rental center was smooth and efficient, making it easy to pick up and return the vehicle. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring I felt comfortable throughout and addressing any questions I had. If you're considering renting a car in Maidstone, Kent I highly recommend choosing this center and going through Trip.com. The excellent service left such a positive impression that I’m already planning to use the center again for my next trip. #realreview

I took a walk in the park on the weekend to make the most of the warm early autumn weather (before the weather gets worse!) The sun was shining, birds were singing and the trees were preparing for the eventual arrival of winter in a few months. I was in Mote park, located in mid Kent, the county known in the UK as the garden of England. Set across 450 acres of meadows, woods, rivers, streams and lakes, it's home to historic buildings, adventure park, playgrounds, cafe, skate park, climbing adventure and interestingly, a mini railway that's free to ride! Do check times for the railway though as it's only available during March to October and is probably weather dependent. There's also a couple of ice cream vans you can pick up a treat from whilst walking around the 4km route (other routes available) which usually takes around 45 minutes. Rest assured there are plenty of benches if you need to take a break, even just to sit for a moment to take in the views, relax, feed the ducks (you can buy specific bird feed from the machine) or just to simply watch the world go by. There's plenty of parking which is reasonably priced, clean public toilets and the route around the park is suitable for wheelchairs and strollers with the park being dog friendly. Check out my video and let me know if you have any questions.

📅 Itinerary Day1: Check in to accommodation and take a walk along the river Medway, walking towards East Farleigh. Pass a lovely little farm on your way where you can stop for a bite to eat and to see the animals or stop off for a drink at the Victory Inn, then walk back to Town. You can also walk in the other direction, towards Allington and stop by the Little Toll House for Coffee and homemade cakes. I’d recommend doing both if you can 😋 Enjoy a short rest before going back out for dinner at Shamrat Indian cuisine restaurant - I recommend everything on the menu but their specials menu is particularly good for trying something new!😇 Enjoy some (live music at the weekend) and board games at Drakes afterwards before returning to the accommodation for a well deserved rest. Day2: Wake up and travel to Oad Street Food and Crafts for a delicious brunch and wander, you can also check out The Potting Shed, Leah’s Bistro or the Little Shed for something closer to town, or MuMus Bottomless Brunch at the weekend if you were after something more lively!🤭 Take a walk around Mote Park and burn off that breakfast😆🍳 Next, try out Prison Island’s escape rooms, a unique activity to have fun no matter what age you are! There is also mini golf and other games available there and a rage room just up the road if you want to try something new!😁⛳️ Have another night of asian cuisine at Yeti restaurant which serves asian fusion cuisine or check out La Taberna for authentic Spanish cuisine, or Fifis Brassiere for Neapolitan food, all of which are delicious! Enjoy some more nightlife at Druids Bar or Market House which will both have live music at the weekend or give your all on the mic at Beach Bar’s Karaoke, you’ll also find other establishments in the Arcade for food, drink, music and pool✨ Day3: On your last day, I reccomend checking out Bearstead, a small village 1 stop on the train from Maidstone East, which has lovely scenary and a lovely Café for you to have your final breakfast/brunch before you travel home🏡 You could also use this final day to go further afield to Rochester, West/East Malling, Tunbridge Wells or Faversham, but I would advise making these a trip of their own! 🏨 Accommodation · Premiere Inn 🍴 Food Recommendations · Shamrat, Yeti, Fifis Brassiere, Little Toll House, Leah’s Bistro, Little Shed, La Taberna, Mumu’s, The Potting Shed and loads more… 📌 Tips This is majority based around walking and public transport but a car can be very beneficial when visiting anywhere in Kent and can give you a lot more variation to your activities and scenery! If you are there at the weekend, check out Brandshatch Circuit nearby or attend a Maidstone United Football Match!!💛🖤 #kent #maidstone #itinerary

Perfectly adequate room

Always love staying here. The ground. The food and the staff. Nothing to complain about. Only thing I would say is to ensure there’s heaters in the room around winter times as the central heating does take a long time to warm up the room. Other than that, great service as always.

I don’t think I’ll forget the feeling of standing at the edge of the platform. The small of damp bark, soft hum of wind through the leaves and the sound of nervous laughing from ahead before stepping off into nothing but air. There is so many to do where we ended up going up and down for hours in the woods. Zip lines are the best part the end all the trails of the platform and climbing. You can also visit the castle after the adventure! To spend the full day in the area. #travel #naturalwonders #thingstodo #adventureinwoods #familyadventure #maidstonemoments #maidstoneexplored #maidstoneadventures

Exploring Huaiji and Maidstone? Here’s the low-down on my adventure through these two unique spots — perfect for anyone seeking local charm, epic scenery, and a touch of fairytale magic 🌄🏰 Top Spots to Visit: 1. Grindenwald Vibes in Huaiji: While you might not find Switzerland’s Grindenwald here, Huaiji offers its own lush mountain escapes and rolling landscapes for chill views and photo ops. Don’t miss the sunrise from one of the area’s smaller hilltops for that “lost in nature” feeling—bonus points for bringing a thermos of coffee! 2. Maidstone High Street: Head to the heart of town for boutique shopping and cafes. The Maidstone Museum (St Faith’s St, open Tue–Sat 10am–4pm) is a fun stop—quick, cheap, and packed with history. Tip: Check out their local art exhibitions for some creative inspo. 3. Mote Park: Get your fresh air fix with a morning walk around the massive Mote Park (Mote Ave, open daily dawn till dusk). Rent a rowboat or just chill by the lake and feed the ducks—super peaceful, especially before noon when it’s less crowded. Travel Tips & Hacks: · Getting Around: Public buses and trains connect Maidstone well, but in Huaiji, be ready to ride with local drivers or hire a scooter for more freedom! Plan ahead—transport apps can be spotty in remote areas. · Eats: Try a riverside noodle stall in Huaiji for the best local flavors. In Maidstone, hit up the market for fresh pastries and coffee in the morning—cheap, cheerful, and oh-so-tasty. · Pack light layers: Weather can flip between misty mornings and sunny afternoons. A lightweight rain jacket is clutch! #HiddenEngland #HuaijiAdventures #TravelTips #MaidstoneExplored

First time visiting this beefeater and was alittle apprehensive after reading so many negative reviews, but it was fair to say that my party had a pleasant experience. We had the Sunday roast beef and the portion size was more than plentiful and was nice apart from the potatoes and Yorkshire pudding they were slightly overcooked, and was slightly overpriced for standard roast I think your paying for quantity not quality! There was a few things on the menu that were unavailable and I would say the service for drinks is quite slow. Our overall experience was good and I would eat here again despite the minor complaints I had.

I will NEVER buy food from this establishment again! Firstly it’s completely chaotic with 3 different queues and no-one knowing which queue is for what, the time you have to wait once you’ve ordered your food is ridiculous considering there is plenty of staff and we visited during the day in term time it was just manic from start to finish. When you do finally get your food order you will probably be very disappointed that you had to wait as long as you do then to be given a very undercooked burger that was gooey and was like dog meat (this is what we ordered) and the bun was all falling apart like it was three days old and the Cornish pasty that we ordered was warm, but once you had a bite into it, the meat filling was chewy and tough and just was not edible! We were going to complain and return the food but given it had taken so long for us to recieve our food and the queues still being long we decided not to bother. It’s extremely overpriced and I will not return to eat on this place again!
