#travel2026 #busan I uploaded yesterday my first reels on instagram. I traveled Busan🇰🇷 - California (San Francisco, San Jose, San Diego)🇺🇸 - New York / New Jersey 🇺🇸 - Atlanta & Georgia (Duluth, Warm Springs, Macon) 🇺🇸 - Chicago 🇺🇸💙 - Vancouver & Maple Ridge 🇨🇦 - Helsinki, Turku, Kuusankoski 🇫🇮 - Berlin, Mannheim 🇩🇪 - Seoul🇰🇷 (where I live) It took in total 52 days and my great friends and acquaintances generously offered me place to sleep so I actually did not spend that much money except for the flights and food. It was a great trip finding who I am. I will keep doing this and want to meet more people all around the world. I can offer a place to stay in Seoul, would you let me be your friend?

Many people flying into Germany usually start their trip in Frankfurt because it's one of the country's largest aviation and transportation hubs. Today, I'm going to tell you about my second favorite city in Germany🙌 A small city called "Mannheim" located in the northwest of Baden-Württemberg, Germany! 🥰❤️ It was designed as a planned city in the 1700s, and the city center is well-organized in a checkerboard pattern😲 So, unlike other European cities, when writing addresses, we don't use ~~~straße (meaning ~~), but instead write it like this: G7! (7th block of G-zone) 👍 It's also the birthplace of 🍰🧁 Spaghetti ice cream, a popular dessert in Germany! 🤗 It looks like spaghetti, but it's made with vanilla ice cream pulled out like noodles, and topped with strawberry sauce and white chocolate🍝🍨 If you come to Mannheim, be sure to try spaghetti ice cream and see the Wasserturm, the symbol of Mannheim and soak your feet in Friedrichsplatz and heal yourself! 🍻🎶 #European travel #Germany #Germany travel #deutschland #germany #Europe #Mannheim #mannheim #overseas travel #city travel #summer

It is a small town that has everything you need, yet is peaceful and quiet. My hotel was nearby, so I went there to store my luggage and kill time until check-in. If you walk through Mannheim University, you can see the front of the building. I didn't feel the need to go inside. It felt more like a museum within the university, so I didn't look around the interior, but I recommend going in if you have the time. I wanted to go in, but I was already satisfied with having coffee and a slice of apple cake at the student cafeteria right next door. I liked the tranquil atmosphere.

Renowned for Schwetzingen Palace (Schloss Schwetzingen) and its magnificent palace gardens, it stands as a premier cultural tourism destination in southwestern Germany. During the 18th century, Schwetzingen served as the summer residence for the Elector Palatine. Elector Carl Theodor expanded the palace and created the sprawling 72-hectare Schwetzingen Palace Gardens. The grounds beautifully harmonize the symmetrical elegance of French Baroque landscaping with the organic feel of an English landscape garden, featuring fountains, sculptures, lakes, and numerous exquisite architectural structures. Furthermore, as a major producer of white asparagus, Schwetzingen has earned the renowned title of "Germany's Asparagus Capital," celebrating the beloved crop with an annual Asparagus Festival every spring.

Mannheim is located in the southwestern German state of Baden-Württemberg, sitting at the confluence of the Rhine and Neckar rivers. With a population of around 330,000, it is the state's second-largest city and a vital hub in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. Founded in the 17th century, Mannheim is renowned for its unique grid-like street layout. Dubbed Germany's "City of Squares," its blocks are distinctively identified by a combination of letters and numbers. The city's most famous architectural marvel is the Mannheim Baroque Palace (Mannheimer Barockschloss), which now houses the University of Mannheim. The Water Tower (Wasserturm) and Friedrichsplatz in the city center serve as the city's most iconic landmarks. Moreover, Mannheim is a major center for German industrial and technological advancement. In 1886, Karl Benz successfully test-drove the world's first practical automobile here, earning Mannheim the title of the birthplace of the modern automobile.

Mannheim Palace (Mannheimer Schloss) is located in the center of Mannheim in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is the largest Baroque palace in Germany and one of the largest in Europe, second only to the Palace of Versailles in France. The palace's construction began in 1720 under the orders of Charles III Philip, Elector Palatine, and was mostly completed around 1760. It once served as the official residence and political hub of the Elector Palatine. In the 18th century, Mannheim Palace became the birthplace of the renowned "Mannheim School," which had a profound influence on the development of the classical symphony. The palace boasts a classic Baroque architectural design; its main facade stretches approximately 440 meters and contains about 450 rooms. The interior preserves and restores the Knights' Hall, the Court Chapel, and numerous lavish rooms, perfectly illustrating the splendor of 18th-century court architecture and art. The palace sustained severe damage during World War II but was meticulously reconstructed to its original state post-war. Today, the University of Mannheim uses the majority of the buildings, while some sections are open to the public as a palace museum, making it a prominent symbol of German Baroque architecture and court culture.

Unusually for a German city, central Mannheim's streets and avenues are laid out in a grid pattern, leading to its nickname as the Quadratestadt (Square City) and the tourism slogan "Leben im Quadrat" ("Life in the Square"). It's easy to navigate in the city center. #springtravel #church #citycenter #travel #tower

Tonight belongs to the little joys of the Lantern Festival. Instead of choosing traditional glutinous rice balls, I met up with close friends at our favorite Spanish spot in Mannheim, Restaurante Andalucia. ✨ Reasons to keep coming back: · Full atmosphere: Even though it's midweek, the restaurant is exceptionally quiet and cozy. The deep and melodious live singing by a Spanish singer beside me, with notes drifting into the wine glass, instantly transports you to the streets of Seville. · Tapas freedom: Their tapas selection is so extensive that you can't go wrong even with your eyes closed! Every dish is savory and delicious, capturing the authentic taste of Valencian sunshine. · Tipsy moments: Fine wine, golden hits, old friends—this feeling of "stealing a half-day of leisure" is truly wonderful. 🍷 Random thoughts: Looking out at the night outside the window, my only greedy wish is: how great it would be if tomorrow were already the weekend! Cheers, Mannheim! Wishing us all a better 2026 than last year.✨

The Jesuit Church (Jesuitenkirche Mannheim), officially known as the Church of St. Ignatius and St. Francis Xavier, is located in the city center of Mannheim, Germany, at Quadrat A4 2, 68159 Mannheim, adjacent to Mannheim Palace. It is one of the most significant Baroque buildings in the city. Constructed between 1733 and 1760, it was designed by Italian architect Alessandro Galli da Bibiena as the court church for the Elector Palatine, modeled after the Jesuit Church in Rome (Il Gesù). The exterior features a magnificent twin-tower façade, while the interior is lavishly decorated with opulent Baroque sculptures, altars, works by Paul Egell and Peter Anton von Verschaffelt, and ceiling frescoes. Severely damaged during World War II, the church was faithfully reconstructed after the war. It is regarded as the most important Baroque church in southwestern Germany and attracts numerous visitors every year.

Mannheim Palace (Barockschloss Mannheim), located in the city center of Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, is one of the largest Baroque palaces in Europe, second only to the Palace of Versailles. Construction began in 1720 under Elector Karl Philipp and took 40 years to complete. It served as the winter residence of the Electors of the Palatinate and stands as a grand symbol of absolute monarchy. The palace's facade stretches 440 meters, covering an area of 6 hectares, featuring a vast courtyard and magnificent exterior. Although almost completely destroyed during World War II, it was rebuilt to its original form after the war. Today, part of the palace serves as the campus of the University of Mannheim, while the palace museum showcases Baroque halls, a Rococo library, and historical artifacts, making it a must-visit landmark for Baroque architecture enthusiasts.

I'd been looking for a place to relax and chat with friends after work, and this time I finally checked out the newly opened "March 2nd" branch in Mannheim. I'd been to their first branch before, and honestly, it was incredibly cramped, making for a mediocre dining experience. But this new branch is completely different: ✨ It's spacious, with private rooms, perfect for small gatherings and casual meals with friends. ✨ The owner has an architecture background, so the overall interior design is very creative. ✨ The decor has a strong Chinese style, with wooden elements and soft lighting, creating a comfortable and atmospheric feel. 🍲 What impressed me most was the tofu chicken soup. The tofu wasn't in ordinary cubes, but hand-cut into flower shapes, floating in the chicken soup—a definite plus in both appearance and texture, showing great attention to detail. 🥢 The other dishes were also generally good, a blend of home-style and refined. However, to be honest, the portions are a bit small; they look and taste good, but aren't exactly "generous." 💰 Price-wise…to be honest, Chinese restaurants in Germany are getting more expensive every year. However, if you're looking for a nice place to meet up with friends after work and want a pleasant atmosphere, this is still a good option. 📌 Recommendation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good ambiance, suitable for chatting and dining together. 📍 Address: New location in Mannheim, March 2nd Mannheim, T6 68161
