The Hidden Region of Iya Valley Surrounded by 1,000-meter-high mountains and the emerald green Iya River, the Iya area—often called a "hidden region"—is dotted with breathtaking spots created by majestic nature. Among the most famous are the "Iya Kazurabashi" (vine bridge) and the Iya Valley, home to the Peeing Boy statue. Spanning the Iya River, this suspension bridge is about 45 meters long and 2 meters wide, woven from a vine called Shirakuchikazura. #summervacay I recently visited the Mitsugu Pet Shrine in Osaka to pray for my aging dog's continued health, and it was such a heartwarming experience! This charming little shrine is super easy to find, located right near Shinsaibashi. Just search for "Mitsugu" and it'll pop right up. It's not a huge shrine, but it's incredibly dedicated to pets. You can purchase an ema (votive prayer tablet) for ¥1,000 to draw a blessing for your pet. My artistic skills aren't the best, so I just drew something simple! They also sell a variety of adorable omamori (charms) specifically for pets. If you have beloved pets, especially older ones you wish to keep healthy, I highly recommend a visit.
