The town of Mürren is seriously super chill! 🇨🇭 It's a car-free village at an altitude of around 1,650 meters 🏡, and a major gateway to the Schilthorn ⛰️. The entire village only has about 450 residents 👥. With absolutely no noisy traffic 🚗❌, you're left with a wonderfully slow-paced, laid-back lifestyle and an authentic mountain vibe 🪵. Traditional wooden chalets are built into the hillside 🏚️, their windowsills bursting with colorful flowers 🌸. Looking into the distance, you're met with the awe-inspiring peaks of the Alps 🏔️. Strolling down the streets 🚶♂️, it truly feels like you've stepped right into a fairytale town ✨. Personally 👀, compared to other popular attractions full of tourists 👥, Mürren isn't overcrowded 🍃. Instead, it perfectly matches exactly what you want if you're looking to quietly soak in the purest Swiss mountain village scenery 🏞️. Later, we walked through the town to another cable car station 👣 and took a roughly 4-minute cable car ride up to the Allmendhubel Flower Valley 🚡. In the blink of an eye, the landscape switched from a tranquil mountain village to a vast alpine meadow 🌲. Summer is truly the peak season here ☀️. A random yet spectacular array of alpine wildflowers bursts into bloom everywhere 🌻, looking like a masterpiece painted by Mother Nature herself 🎨. The visual impact is doubly stunning 🤩! For the way back, we decided to skip the cable car ❌ and chose a hiking trail to slowly make our way down the mountain 🥾. That day, we bumped into maybe 5 or 6 other tourists on the trail in total 🚶♀️, giving it an incredible sense of privacy 🍃. We traversed the expansive meadows and flower valleys 🌿, stepping on the green grass 👣. The melodious sound of cowbells drifted to our ears 🔔, mingling with the rustle of the micro breeze blowing through the flora 💨. The healing vibes of the whole valley were maxed out 🧘♂️, completely washing away all everyday work stress 💻❌. Looking up, there were the spectacular snow mountains 🏔️, and looking down, a sea of flowers swaying in the breeze 🌷. It's simply the perfect check-in spot 📸. The Allmendhubel Flower Valley might not be as signature as the Jungfraujoch or Schilthorn 🗺️, but it's absolutely a summer-limited hidden gem 💎. The streets are so clean you can walk barefoot, and you don’t have to be afraid to stroll alone at 10 PM. These places are a must-visit👇 📍 Grindelwald – Dreamy Hillside As soon as the train arrives, you see a big green hill right in front of you🌱 There are little wooden houses and yellow flowers on it, with snowy mountains behind. You can lie on the grass and roll around, just like in a cartoon. 📍 Lauterbrunnen – Waterfall Village The village has 72 waterfalls💦 There’s a big waterfall just a 10-minute walk away, and the mist feels cool on your face. Walk along the nearby path, and it feels like a valley where elves live🧝‍♀️ 📍 Mount Rigi – Mountain and Lake Views Take the red little train up the mountain🚂 At the top, there’s a big lake on one side and snowy mountains on the other. There’s a very flat path that even kids and grandmas can walk. If you’re lucky, you might see a marmot stand up and greet you🐿️ 📍 Bern – Old Town That’s Not Afraid of Rain The old town has a super long covered walkway, so you don’t need an umbrella when it rains☔️ At 11 AM, watch the little wooden figures dance on the clock tower. Then go to the Rose Garden for a panoramic shot of the old town, it’s most beautiful at sunset🌹 How to spend 5 days? Easy to remember Day 1: Arrive in Zurich, take the train to Lucerne (stay in the old town) Day 2: Climb Mount Rigi, take a boat back to Lucerne in the afternoon, then train to Interlaken Day 3: Go to Grindelwald, play at First mountain (you can even drive a go-kart🛺) Day 4: Explore Lauterbrunnen + Mürren village (quiet like a paradise) Day 5: Visit Bern in the morning, return to Zurich in the afternoon to catch your flight home✈️ What to eat? Perched on a cliff at an elevation of 1,650 meters, it is the ultimate viewing platform for the Jungfrau, Eiger, and Mönch. Surrounded by mountains, you can look up at the snow-capped ridges and gaze down into the deep valleys. Motor vehicles are prohibited here; you can only reach it from 📍Lauterbrunnen by taking a cable car 🚡 and transferring to a train 🚅. And precisely because of this, it has preserved the pristine charm of the Alps 🏔️, like an idyllic wonderland hidden away in the clouds.
