The Eiffel Tower is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Europe, located in Paris, France on the Champ de Mars next to the Seine River. Built for the 1889 World's Fair in Paris to celebrate the French Revolution's centenary. What you can expect if you decide to go there. Amazing atmosphere!!! Cool lighting at night. Nice and enjoyable walks. Excellent city views. Beautiful architecture. Nice rivers trips. Good food. A lot of tourists from different countries. It is a bit crowded at evening near Tower but still good. You all the time can find silent place a bit far behind the tower, opposite to river. Don’t forget to go upstairs at day time to see wonderful city view. Best to do it at sunny day. Or book a sunset time slot on the Eiffel Tower Official Ticketing Website 60 days in advance. You'll catch sweeping daytime views, see the city light up at night, and avoid peak crowds. There two levels in Tower where you can go. Second level /floor (lower one), you can go there by stairs (should be in good health condition, quite heavy exercise: 674 steps) or use lift (different price). If you buy a ticket to the second floor and decide you want to go higher, you can purchase an upgrade at the ticket office on the second level. To go to first/top floor you have only one option: lift. I was two times there. Last time visited just second floor as it was cloudy. When you finish in Tower there are several river trips near Tower (walking distance). Different prices. Worth to go and see city centre architecture from boat, including the Eiffel Tower, Musée d'Orsay, Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Conciergerie, and the historic Pont Alexandre III. After checking in and going through security, I strolled along the boarding gates, but unexpectedly discovered a Taiwanese film-themed exhibition near Gate C8. Compared to the usual airport shops and waiting areas, this exhibition area had a much richer cultural atmosphere, making the wait for boarding much more fulfilling. Upon closer inspection, the exhibition showcased a wealth of content related to the development of Taiwanese cinema, from classic films and behind-the-scenes production to key milestones in Taiwanese film history, all presented through text, images, and videos. Although the exhibition wasn't large, its overall design was simple and bright. Even a short visit of ten minutes or so allowed for a quick understanding of the history of Taiwanese cinema, offering a renewed appreciation for the charm of Taiwanese film culture. In recent years, Taiwan has continuously promoted film culture and film production, and airports have also used various themed exhibitions to allow travelers to experience Taiwan's cultural characteristics while waiting for their flights. Exhibition Highlights · Connecting Taiwanese Culture Through Film In addition to introducing the films themselves, the exhibition also incorporated Taiwanese culture, cities, and landscapes. The entire 12-day trip to France, Switzerland, and Italy far exceeded expectations, and we were very satisfied overall. We were able to rest well after each day's activities, making for an excellent accommodation experience. The group meals were adapted to daily eating habits, and the overall itinerary was fair and cost-effective, offering great value for money. Special commendation goes to our tour leader, Chen Hao, who was highly responsible, communicated amiably and smoothly, and provided careful reminders of various travel tips throughout the trip. He promptly and properly handled any issues, ensuring the entire itinerary ran seamlessly. The accompanying tour guide had solid knowledge, explained things vividly and meticulously, delving into the historical background of attractions and local customs, adding depth to every scenic spot. The entire journey was worry-free and pleasant; the itinerary, accommodation, and accompanying services were all impeccable, making for an exceptional travel experience that is highly recommended.

Some are reading a book, others scrolling through their phones, and still others are simply listening to music on headphones. It's ordinary city life, free from tension and anxiety. Of course, as in any major metropolis, basic caution remains essential—especially in tourist areas and during rush hour. But we didn't feel the constant sense of danger that's so often mentioned. In the end, the Paris metro turned out to be not only safe but also a very convenient way to travel: fast, intuitive, and atmospheric. Sometimes reality turns out to be much calmer than other people's fears. In 2026, the Paris metro costs €2.55 per ride. Having finally received our visa, we happily booked a new luxury itinerary around Europe. Having researched the crime situation beforehand, we happily headed to the airport. 😂 Our route led us from Istanbul. Our first city was beautiful Paris. We arrived late, and to avoid any risk, we booked a transfer to the hotel. It wasn't a bad hotel, a well-known chain, the Ibis Paris Eiffel Tower Cambronne 15th. In the morning, we headed to the most crime-ridden spot in Paris: the Eiffel Tower. I was prepared, I barely took my phone out, it has a wrist strap, so if they snatch it, it'll be gone with my hand. 😂 But my backpack with money and documents was still on my back; my faith in people never leaves me. 😉 By midday, having not encountered a single pickpocket, I relaxed a bit and was already walking around with my phone, taking selfies, and with my whole appearance inviting all the criminal elements of Paris to come to my aid. 😂 For four days, including a trip to Disneyland, I still had all my things with me, including after the metro! After Paris, we headed to Barcelona! Barcelona is a whole other story, and I was already prepared. 😂 But I still had my phone in my hands and my backpack on my back! Vera😎 3 days and everything was back with me, we were on our way. We flew to Milan and took the train to the hotel, through train stations and crowds of people. We walked to the UNA Hotels Century Milano. It's conveniently located near the train station, so I'm walking on thin ice. 😂 We visited Piazza del Duomo. The next day, we took the train to Rome. Once again, risking our wallets and phones, we headed to the train station.
