Day 3️⃣
We pack our backpack and carry-on luggage and head to Phuket Airport. Today we depart at 9:00 AM on the Phuket-Chiang Mai route, purchased on #tripcom for 💰4,685 Russian rubles.
At 11:00 AM, we're in northern Thailand. Bring warm clothing as this area can be chilly, especially in the mornings.
We're checking into the 98 Tower Chiang Mai hotel for one night, booked through #tripcom. It's conveniently located near the airport and easy to walk to without a taxi.
98 Tower Chiang Mai
📍Address: 98 Tower Chiang Mai, Pa Daet Subdistrict, Chiang Mai 50100, Thailand.
💰The cost of one night was 1,500 Russian rubles.
We left our bags at the hotel and headed to the city center. There are so many beautiful temples here, literally right next to each other and around every corner. And after dark, we went to sample food at the local night market. We didn't stay long; we had a busy day tomorrow.
Day 4️⃣
A couple of days in advance, I booked a temple tour in Chiang Rai on #tripcom for 💰 4,000 Russian rubles. The driver picked me up at the time specified in the voucher, and we shared a minibus with other tourists to a neighboring town famous for its most unusual and beautiful temples.
· Our first stop was the Mae Khachan hot springs in Chiang Rai, a former virgin forest, according to local guards.
· Not far from the Myanmar border, a 3-4 hour drive from Chiang Mai and the hot springs, is the Long Neck Karen Village, a village of long-necked women of the Karen tribe. After exploring the village, chatting with the locals, and buying a souvenir made by their artisans, we continue on.
· The icing on the cake is the White Temple in Chiang Rai.
The temple's white, shimmering peaks are visible from the highway and make your heart beat faster with delight. We spend 1.5 hours exploring, and then we continue on.
· An equally beautiful and colorful place, half an hour's drive from the White Temple, is the Blue Temple. It is stunningly beautiful and unusual. The photos here are stunning, especially against the backdrop of the Pearl Buddha. You have a full 1.5 hours to explore and photograph the temple from the inside and outside.
Having had our fill of the beauty, we move on to the final destination of our journey – the Golden Triangle, located at the confluence of three countries: Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar. After a boat ride and learning about the history of this place, we are dropped off at the pier and, after boarding a car, we head home to Chiang Mai.
· 10:50 PM departure from Chiang Mai to Bangkok.
💰The ticket purchased on #tripcom costs 3,400 Russian rubles.
This concludes my journey through northern Thailand, but new places in this beautiful country await.
Day 5️⃣
· 1:10 AM arrival in Bangkok. A pre-booked transfer is already waiting for me, taking me to the Poonsuk Place Hotel. I specifically chose it because it's within walking distance of Wat Arun. The location is gorgeous, and the hotel is also excellent; I highly recommend it! Everything was booked on #tripcom.
💰Airport-hotel transfer costs 1,500 Russian rubles
Poonsuk Place Hotel
📍Address: 263, 6 Arun Amarin Rd, Siriraj, Bangkok Noi, Bangkok 10700, Thailand.
💰One night's stay cost 1,850 Russian rubles.
After sleeping until 8:00 AM, I got up for breakfast, got ready, and headed to Thai Glam Studio, which is eight minutes from the hotel and five minutes from Wat Arun. They quickly picked out a traditional costume based on my preferences, did my makeup, and did my hair. I was ready. The photographer and his assistant picked out a multitude of accessories to go with my dress and led me arm in arm to the temple to take beautiful photos that will warm my heart and soul for years to come. The photographer and his assistant were very attentive, helping with posing and accessories. I highly recommend them. I ordered everything on #tripcom🫶.
Thai Glam Studio.
📍Address: 243 Thanon Wang Doem, Wat Arun, Bangkok Yai, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10600, Thailand.
⏰Hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
💰Total price: 7,850 Russian rubles.
After the photo session, you can keep the costume and explore the temple or nearby areas on your own. I walked around for an hour and then went to return the costume. The administrator took my contact information and promised to send me a link with my photos within three days. I received the photos the next day. They were beautiful! I highly recommend them! 😍
After changing into my clothes, I went for a stroll around Bangkok; the city has so many interesting things to offer. First, I took the local ferry across the river, which runs every 15-20 minutes.
I recommend visiting The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
📍Address: Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand.
⏰Opening Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
💰Ticket Price: 500 baht.
Recommendation:
· Be sure to wear clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. This applies to both men and women, otherwise you will be denied access to the temple.
· I recommend buying temple tickets on #tripcom🫶 to avoid standing in lines.
After walking around a bit and having lunch at local cafes on the other side of the river, it was time to return to the hotel to pick up your belongings, which are stored for free in the Poonsuk Place Hotel's luggage storage. In 20 minutes, the transfer I booked on #tripcom🫶 arrives, and I'm heading to the airport.
At 9:15 PM, I have a flight to Phuket. Tickets purchased on #tripcom for 2,900 Russian rubles.
At 10:40 PM, I land in Phuket, the transfer I booked is already waiting for me, and I head back to the Sunstar Patong Palace, Patong Beach. The day has come to an end.
Day 6️⃣
6:00 AM - Wake up. Today, I'm going on a tour of the azure islands😍.
At 7:00 AM, a transfer picks me up and takes me to the pier where my sea voyage will begin. But first, there's breakfast and a briefing. Then everyone is divided into groups, given wristbands, and the guide leads us to board the boat.
The boat ride to the first bay, Maya Bay, where the film "The Beach" starring Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed, takes about an hour. The bay is stunningly beautiful, with a sea so azure it almost seems Photoshopped. Swimming is prohibited in the bay, but you can only get your feet wet and enjoy the surrounding nature. You have 30 minutes to explore.
The next stop is Phi Phi Leh Bay. This is a spectacular place, where beautiful cliffs rise around emerald waters. For 500 baht, you can rent a longtail boat and sail closer to the cliffs, or you can swim in these warm emerald waters.
After swimming to our heart's content, our boat heads for Phi Phi Island. Here, not only will we explore, but we'll also enjoy a delicious and nutritious buffet lunch.
We had a quick lunch because another stunning island, Phi Phi Don, awaited us next. The scenery here is so stunning it's breathtaking.
After exploring to our heart's content, we boarded the boat and sped home. The sun sets early in Asia, so we needed to get to Phuket before it was completely dark. On the way, we were greeted by a stunning sunset, a completely calm sea, and a complete storm in our souls from the beauty of the place we'd seen.
At 6:00 PM, I boarded the transfer to my hotel. I can sleep later today; I don't have to leave early tomorrow.
I booked the island hopping tour on #tripcom.
💰The cost was 3,800 Russian rubles.
Day 7️⃣
Today, the alarm is off, so there's no need to rush, but that doesn't mean I can sleep until lunch.
The morning begins, of course, with relaxing on the beach, while the sun isn't as strong as it is in the afternoon. ❗️❗️❗️Be sure to use SPF, even if the sky is cloudy.
As I mentioned above, I stayed in Patong, and there are several wonderful elephant orphanages there, which you can walk or ride a bike to. I recommend visiting the coolest one:
