Before coming to Dallas, I'd seen so many people recommending this place 🫶🏻 It's located in Plano. The restaurant isn't very big, but the decor has a really strong Northeastern Chinese vibe, haha, lots of big red flowers everywhere! 🤪 As soon as you push open the door, you see the four big characters "Enter and Get Rich!" 🧧 We ordered these: 🥩 Awesome Skewers Set Meal This includes beef, lamb, chicken, chicken gizzards, and squid! The skewers aren't big. We also ordered extra grilled rice cakes, grilled gluten, enoki mushrooms in foil, king oysters, grilled bean curd sheets, and grilled oysters 🦪 For Northeastern dishes, we ordered sweet and sour pork and candied sweet potatoes! These two dishes were amazing! ❤️❤️ You can choose between the Harbin or Liaoning style sweet and sour pork; we ordered the Harbin style. The outer skin was very crispy, and it was sweet and sour! The candied sweet potatoes were absolutely delicious! I attended EBESU restaurant's anniversary celebration, which featured a tuna cutting demonstration and buffet. A whole tuna was prepared live, cut into sashimi and nigiri, and the sushi chefs were constantly making various kinds of sushi. The ingredients were fresh, and you could keep taking as much as you wanted. The other buffet items were also quite substantial, not just a bunch of carbohydrates to fill you up. There was Wagyu beef, lobster, scallops, abalone, duck breast, chicken, beef, and various fish, plus a teppanyaki area for grilling. Overall, the experience was great. Upon entering, there was a refreshing sweet and sour grapefruit welcome drink. The buffet was replenished quickly; items were brought out again as soon as they were taken. The staff were constantly clearing plates, and the service was very friendly. Although it was a buffet, the whole process didn't feel chaotic or perfunctory. Pictures 4 and 5 show my culinary creations. Tuna sashimi, various nigiri, Wagyu beef, lobster, scallops, abalone, duck breast, chicken and beef, soup, and desserts—at the prices of a regular Japanese restaurant's à la carte menu, this would definitely cost more than the $200+ entrance fee. However, I know some people will say: "How can a business possibly let you eat your money's worth at an all-you-can-eat buffet?" I don't know for sure if the food alone made the business lose money, but there was a raffle at the end of the event. The third prize was a cut of tuna with sake, the second prize was Wagyu beef with sake, and the first prize was a $300 gift card. Lately, I've been craving flaky pastries, so I decided to indulge this week with some delicious croissants! These croissants are filled with a generous amount of cream. To maintain the texture and shape of the cream, they are stored in a refrigerated display rather than served warm and fresh out of the oven. However, even when chilled, the pastry retains its layers and crispiness without becoming soggy. 🥐 There are plenty of flavors to choose from. This time, I tried Matcha, Coffee, and Tiramisu. The cream is light, not heavy or greasy, and the sweetness is well-balanced—not overly sweet like many American desserts. The coffee flavor is rich, the matcha has a strong tea taste with a natural hint of bitterness and a pleasant aftertaste, and the tiramisu is a safe and satisfying choice. The cream filling is very generous. At first, it seems manageable, but as you eat, the cream starts to ooze out, ensuring every bite is filled with creamy goodness. The croissants themselves are quite substantial, feeling heavy in hand. After a two-hour workout at the gym, I was starving, and I devoured three croissants in under five minutes. When the staff asked me how they tasted, I showed them the empty box, and they were shocked! 😆 Before leaving, I also grabbed an Earl Grey Basque cheesecake. As someone very picky about Earl Grey flavors (some places have an artificial taste), this one was surprisingly pleasant. The tea flavor isn't overly strong but blends nicely with the creamy, milky taste of the Basque cheesecake. This shop is located in downtown Plano and is run by an Asian couple. The entire Deerfield subdivision participates, with dozens of homes decorated with coordinated light displays, animated figures, themed setups, inflatables, and large scale yard scenes that cover nearly every street. Most visitors drive slowly through the neighborhood in a loop, but you can also park on nearby streets and walk if you prefer to take photos and explore on foot. This is a residential neighborhood, so there are no vendors, food stands, or restrooms on site, and visitors are expected to be respectful of homeowners and traffic flow. It is best visited after dark and earlier in the evening on weekends to avoid long lines of cars. Street parking is available in surrounding areas, but do not block driveways or fire hydrants.
