His original occupation was a goldsmith, but he spent his life making sculptures called cartapesta for the Carnival Festival. When I visited, I was able to listen to the explanations of a young guide who seemed to be a local university student, and he guided me so passionately that I was able to appreciate the exhibitions much more deeply.
