His original occupation was a goldsmith, but he spent his life making sculptures called cartapesta for the Carnival Festival. He worked for the splendid Carnival parades of the Carnival for about 30 years, and his skills are being passed down by his junior craftsmen. When I visited, I was able to listen to the explanations of a young guide who seemed to be a local university student, and he guided me so passionately that I was able to appreciate the exhibitions much more deeply.
