Another fantastic place to stay in Cameron Highlands. We had booked a deluxe room and were upgraded to the Foster Suite (101sqm) located up on the beautiful hill top. The room was brilliant, beautiful and very comfortable. Staff were accommodating and helpful. We would recommend the High Tea overlooking the beautiful lake. Staff is very courteous. Parking is free.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Param and the team. The service and hospitality provided by Suresh and others were consistently exceptional. We spent hours enjoying the balcony, which offers a breathtaking setting and an incredible view. Our room was elegantly designed and featured a capsule coffee machine, which was a real treat. The addition of bath salts was a delightful touch that we appreciated. Dinner was absolutely delicious. The establishment is impeccably clean, with meticulous attention to detail throughout. This was our fourth visit to the Cam Highlands and our first time at The LakeHouse, but we’re certain future trips to CH will definitely bring us back here. Bravo and thank you!

Hidden in Ringlet, Pahang, near the famous Habu Boh Tea Plantation, Mount Chantek and Mount Chentuk offer a unique two-peak adventure that can be completed in a single hike. Standing at 1,802 meters and 1,806 meters respectively, these two mountains are only a few meters apart in elevation, but reaching both summits makes for a rewarding adventure through some beautiful highland terrain. The trail begins through a vegetable farm before crossing Ulong River and gradually turning into a steep ascent. Although some sections are quite steep, the climb is manageable if you take your time and pace yourself. Along the way, you'll come across a viewpoint overlooking Mount Beluat and the surrounding highlands. One of the notable checkpoints along the route is Camp Hippie, where the vegetation becomes much denser, with plenty of shrubs and thorny plants 🌿🌵 The real highlight comes as you approach the summits. Both Mount Chantek and Mount Chentuk are surrounded by beautiful mossy forest, creating an almost surreal atmosphere that feels like stepping into another world 🌫️🌲 For peak collectors, both summits also feature their own trigonometric survey markers. The only minor point is that the hotel is a bit far from the BOH Tea Plantation, so transportation might be required for frequent visits. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay in Cameron Highlands.

I thought Japanese convenience stores were just shops. Water, chips, maybe onigiri. But when I left my Tokyo hotel at 2:00 AM to buy toothpaste and went into the nearest 7-Eleven, I was lost. I spent forty minutes there. And I left feeling like Japan was on another planet. 1. A vending machine with a face that knows what you want The first thing I saw at the entrance was a smart screen. It read my gender and approximate age and offered, "It's 2:13 AM, the temperature is 16 degrees Celsius. We recommend hot jasmine tea and a hand warmer. 15% off." I didn't know I wanted tea. But the screen did. The tea was 140 yen. The hand warmer was 200 yen. That's a little over two hundred rubles combined. I took both. And I haven't regretted it for a second. 2. The noodle corner that changed my world At a Japanese convenience store, they don't just have noodles. They have fresh ramen, which you choose from the refrigerator, scan, and the machine next to the cash register cooks it in 90 seconds. Hot, with real broth, a piece of pork, and a soft-boiled egg. In a plastic container, which is somehow more convenient than a plate at a restaurant. I ate this ramen standing by the window, looking out onto the empty street of Akihabara. And it was the best ramen of my life. 3. The employee who knows "thank you" in forty languages At the checkout, I was met by a guy in a perfectly pressed uniform. Seeing that I was a foreigner, he said "thank you" in Russian. With an accent, but still Russian. It turns out they teach them basic expressions of gratitude in all the languages ​​of the world. He packed my toothpaste and hot water bottle in two bags because "food and non-food should be kept separate." He put a wet wipe in my hand. He bowed. He said "good night." I walked out and realized: I wanted to live in this convenience store. 4. The secret floor the guides never mentioned There was a staircase down in this same store. I went down. It turned out to be an underground lounge area: four capsule chairs, a hot chocolate machine, a phone charging station, and a shelf with manga. Everything was free. Activities here: · Viewing flowers & vegetables · Strawberry picking (paid) · Souvenir shops & food stalls · Kids’ playground _____ 🚙 Jeep Tour – “Trend Trip Bromo Cameron” Meeting point: Kensington Western Tour started at 2.30 PM 📍 Mossy Forest – 20 minutes photo stop 📍 BOH Tea Plantation (Sungai Palas) Why jeep tour: Drop-off right at BOH entrance No need to climb steep stairs like private cars ⏰ We had 1 hour 30 minutes to enjoy food & drinks with breathtaking tea plantation views in cool weather. _____ 🐝 Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm 🎟️ Free entrance Beautiful flowers & interesting insight into bee life. There are information boards, but it would be better with a guide or short video explanation. ⸻ 🦋 ZooMania Butterfly Farm 🎟️ Entrance fee: · Adult: RM15 · Child: RM10 Limited parking (not an issue for motorbikes). We visited around 6.00 PM & were slightly disappointed: · Most animals were inactive · Very few butterflies flying · Some dead butterflies visible on the floor & roof area ⸻ 🍲 Dinner – Sinar Hijjaz Steamboat One of the cheapest steamboat options at RM30/person. Do not expect premium seafood or meat: · Limited choices · Average taste · Includes fried rice, drinks & dessert Clean place, decent service, nice music Toilet & prayer room available Overall: reasonable for the price, but expectations should be kept low. ____ Day 3 – Monday (2/2/2026) Returned motorbike & Checked out 🛍️ Kea Farm Bazaar · Large parking area · Free buggy service are provided · Very crowded & most stalls sell similar items. Interestingly, there are alpacas here. ⸻ 🌊 Lata Iskandar (Before Going Home) A quick stop to enjoy the waterfall Quite crowded & no proper parking, cars park along the roadside. Top tips: 👉 Most places in Cameron Highlands offer similar views, but the experience is what makes each visit unique. 👉 If you have more time, explore underrated spots for better prices & fewer crowds. 👉 Rent a motorbike if you're confident riding, it save time & avoids traffic stress. (During peak season)
