I recently visited Disneyland Paris. After arriving in Paris, I took the SNCF train for a direct 10-minute ride to Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy station, where Disneyland Paris is located. For accommodation, I stayed at Eklo Hôtel Restaurant Marne La Vallée, which is a 15-minute ride from the station via the 2231 bus. This newly built hotel is clean and stylish, with a chic lobby and shared spaces. It features an on-site restaurant and bar, and the staff are available 24/7, making it safe and convenient even for late-night returns. The staff were very accommodating, and they even provided free refills of delicious water in my bottle every time, which was a great help. The bus stop is about a 5-minute walk from the hotel, and the 2231 bus runs every 30 minutes. The surrounding area is quiet, safe, and more affordable compared to staying in central Paris. While the single rooms are compact, they are equipped with essentials like hangers, a table, and plenty of power outlets. Although there was no air conditioning, it didn’t pose any issues during my stay.

#100 Ways to Travel Some people ask if it is worth staying at Disneyland Paris? The answer is yes, because Disneyland is in the suburbs. Staying at a Disneyland hotel will greatly improve the quality of your trip, maximize the benefits of your tickets, and give you more flexibility in your itinerary. Most importantly, there are large shopping malls and outlets nearby! We chose the cheapest Aparthotel Adagio Val d'Europe près de Disneyland Paris in the area. Although there are many negative reviews online, it is not too bad after staying there myself. At least there is free access to Disneyland and it is close to the shopping mall. 3 nights including breakfast and tax cost 2,600 euros, but the city tax is very expensive, 12 euros per person per day. Compared to downtown Paris, this hotel has much better facilities. It can accommodate a family of four, and the room has a double sofa bed and bunk bed. The sheets were clean. There is a living room and a bedroom. The bedroom is small but has enough storage space. There is also a kitchenette and the space is much larger, as well as a swimming pool and sauna. The staff behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok and perfect to start the day before heading to the parks.

What an amazing experience! 🥰🥰🥰 The secrecy before entering was excellent; I had no idea which princess I was waiting for 👸 After a while, my number was called, and as soon as I sat down, the staff said Princess Aurora was coming! I was so excited! Aurora was so gentle and even gave me a hug. My princess dream really came true 😭😭😭 The wait time was also very short, only about ten minutes. Actually staying here, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the interior was—much nicer than I imagined! It was a great place to unwind and relax after a tiring day at the park 😌 In this article, I’ll share my honest review covering the hotel’s location, rooms, access to Disneyland, and my overall experience. I hope this helps anyone looking for a hotel near Disneyland Paris! 🪄 ─────── I chose this hotel because it's relatively new among the Disney Partner Hotels, and I felt it offered a great balance of price and amenities. The easy access to the park was also a major deciding factor for me. To be honest, I originally wanted to stay at an official Disney hotel, but after weighing the location, price, and cleanliness, I decided on this one. ─────── [Room Type] Twin Room for 2 nights [Price] €266.89 (Billed as ¥44,558 on my credit card) Coming down to about ¥10,000 per person per night, I think it’s a pretty good deal. [City Tax] €33.80 (Billed as ¥6,469 on my credit card) We had to pay a city tax at check-in as an accommodation fee. (€8.45 per person per night) ─────── The hotel is located in the Serris area right next to Disneyland Paris. The surroundings were peaceful and had a very relaxed vibe 🌳 Here’s what the access looks like from the airport and central Paris 👇 · Nearest Station: Val d'Europe Station (RER Line A) · To Disneyland: About 15 minutes · Shuttle Bus: Available (between Disneyland and the hotel) Taking the free shuttle bus to Disneyland only took about 15 minutes, which felt very similar to staying at a Partner Hotel in Japan. I only had a backpack so I traveled light, but it should be easy enough to get around even if you have a suitcase. ─────── The moment we walked in, we were greeted by Mickey and Minnie plushies! 🐭💕 The lobby was bright and welcoming, and the check-in process was super smooth. Rather than the bustling, high-energy vibe of an official park hotel, it felt more like a place where you could actually kick back and relax. ─────── Bed: It was a bit baffling why there was a painting of a steam locomotive up on the wall given the room's vibe 😂 Kitchen: Fully equipped with cooking utensils and tableware! Bathroom: The mirror actually displayed the weather and temperature (lol) Amenities: Cups, cotton pads, cotton swabs, a shower cap, and tissues. I completely forgot to take pictures, but there was also plenty of storage space! Here’s how it works 👇 · Depart from the hotel · Ride the shuttle bus · Arrive at the park The shuttle bus stop is located right at the hotel entrance. You can find the bus schedule at the check-in counter. Make sure to double-check it, as times might vary depending on the season ✔︎ Heading back from the park, the bus departs from "Stop P" at the bus terminal 🚏 The buses were incredibly punctual! Since the shuttle is shared with other hotels, be sure to check the bus exterior and destination sign before hopping on 🧐 The Ki Space bus was painted in a deep navy or dark blue, with the "Ki Space" logo clearly marked on the side! The entire trip took just under 30 minutes, which was much smoother than I expected. ─────── Here are the standout points from my stay 👇 · The free shuttle bus was super convenient. · They have free water dispensers. · Great water pressure in the shower! With the Euro being so strong right now... having access to free drinking water was a huge money-saver. The dispensers are conveniently located near the elevators on the guest floors. ─────── On the flip side, there were a few minor things that bothered me. ① The room window wouldn't close properly. My friend who was sleeping on the bed by the window mentioned it felt chilly... The window was open just a crack, but no matter how hard we tried, it simply wouldn't shut! 😵💫 We called the front desk... but no one ever came. We were too exhausted to walk down there, so we just gave up and went to sleep lol. I'm sure it was just a rare glitch, but if you're staying here, it might be worth checking your windows when you arrive. ② No convenience store on-site. There’s no convenience store inside the hotel. However, there’s a small shop or kiosk at "Marne-la-Vallée Chessy," the station closest to the park. I highly recommend picking up drinks and light snacks there before heading back. The hotel lobby has a small corner selling Disney plushies and a few snacks (like Pringles and chocolates), but the selection is pretty limited. I was craving ice cream late at night, but sadly they didn't have any (lol). ③ You absolutely need to bring your own shampoo and body wash. There were two dispenser bottles in the shower, but... One was an all-in-one body wash & shampoo. The other was a conditioner. I was a bit shocked 😳 You really don’t see many all-in-one shampoo/body washes anymore (lol). Thankfully, I brought my own travel-sized shampoo and conditioner from Japan. My friend didn't, and her hair ended up super stiff and dry after using the hotel’s stuff. Seriously, bring your own!!! By the way, Japanese shampoo lathered up perfectly fine here just like it does back home! ✌️🫧 ④ No tissue boxes in the room. There were no tissue boxes, which we completely take for granted in Japan! They gave us maybe two individual tissues as an amenity. That’s definitely not enough, especially when doing makeup, so I ended up burning through the pocket tissues I brought from home (lol). This 5-day, 4-night independent tour sweeps through classic and trendy destinations, from the city center to the suburbs: During the day, visit the Eiffel Tower, take a Seine River cruise, and enjoy French cuisine with stunning views from the bus at the famous Bustronome restaurant! Don't miss the art tour of the Louvre, the sacred moments at Notre Dame Cathedral, and finally, a perfect "shopping spree" at La Vallée Village Outlet! The beauty of France lies in these cultural and fashionable experiences. 🗓️ Itinerary Highlights Revealed Day 1|First Impressions of Paris: Arc de Triomphe & Eiffel Tower The first stop on the itinerary must be one of France's iconic landmarks—the Arc de Triomphe (Pl. Charles de Gaulle, 75008 Paris)! Next stop: Eiffel Tower (Av. Gustave Eiffel, 75007 Paris). During the day, climb the tower for panoramic views of Paris, and return in the evening to experience the romantic atmosphere of the "Eiffel Tower Light Show" (but the lights come on around 8 pm as sunset is late in Paris). Day 2 | Explore World Heritage Sites + Bustronome Flowing French Dining Experience. Get up early for a Seine River cruise, enjoying the coexistence of ancient ruins and modern architecture along the banks. There are many cruise docks; it's recommended to book online in advance for easy boarding using a QR code. The cruise lasts about an hour and includes audio commentary, providing a truly French feel whether it's a sunny day or a night cruise. For dinner, book directly with Bustronome (enjoy French cuisine while traveling on a mobile bus, taking in the scenery!). The route will basically pass by Paris's major landmarks. The floor-to-ceiling glass canopy is perfect for taking photos or simply soaking in the cultural atmosphere. Luckily (or perhaps the bus arranged it this way), we arrived at the Eiffel Tower just in time for its hourly light show, allowing us to see different aspects of the Eiffel Tower. Day 3 | Louvre Museum Day Trip + Notre Dame Cathedral The Louvre Museum (Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris) is a must-see in Paris. I highly recommend booking online; the queues are incredibly long, even with a reservation, you should allow an hour for waiting. It houses a plethora of masterpieces. If you only have half a day, I suggest focusing on the Mona Lisa and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, then choosing other areas based on your interests (the Louvre is huge, so taking your time exploring the different sections will prevent fatigue). Afterwards, we walked to Notre Dame Cathedral (6 Parvis Notre-Dame - Pl. Jean-Paul II, 75004 Paris). The cathedral is currently under restoration but still exudes grandeur; the setting sun casting a dreamlike glow on the rose windows. Entry is free, although the queue is extremely long, but you can actually get in within 15 minutes by walking along the line. Day 4|One-day Outlet Spree|La Vallée Village, a boutique village near Paris I recommend setting aside a day for a shopping spree at La Vallée Village Outlet in the nearby Cérée district! It's directly accessible by train from the city center, but the outlet isn't very large and doesn't have many shops. It carries most European luxury brands like LV, Prada, Gucci, Fendi, and Burberry, but Longchamp seems to offer better value. The adjacent Val D'Europe department store is much larger, with many non-luxury brand shops and restaurants. 🎈 Useful Tips/My Thoughts 1. Wear durable walking shoes, as many areas are walkable and sometimes walking is faster than taking public transport. 2. In winter, I recommend wearing a thick coat, as the Seine can be quite windy, especially near the riverbank or the Eiffel Tower. 3. Paris is very dry, but many European hotels only offer 2-in-1 hair and body washes, which can make long hair very dry and tangled. It's recommended to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. 4. For popular restaurants, boat trips, and bus tours in Paris, it's advisable to book at least two days in advance to manage your trip's pace. 5. The Paris metro counts trips, not distances (except for trips to and from the airport). If you get on the wrong line at some stations, you'll have to exit and re-enter the gates to get back on track. I hope this review of my trip will be helpful to anyone who's thinking about going to Disneyland Paris! 🥰 ☆General Itinerary [Day 1] Arrived at Paris Côte d'Azur Airport from Japan around 7:00 AM ↓ Checked in luggage at the hotel mentioned below ↓ Walked around La Vallée Village outlet and shopped at Centre Commercial Val d'Europe shopping mall ↓ Purchased macarons, French bread, salami, cheese, etc. at Auchan supermarket (for dinner and breakfast) ↓ Relaxed at the hotel in preparation for Disneyland ↓ [Day 2] Enjoyed Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios! ↓ Slept at the same hotel as the day before ↓ [Day 3] Morning: Transfer to hotel in Paris ☆About the Hotel I stayed at Sejours et Affaires Residence Hoteliere Rive Gauche, one stop away, for the nights before and after my visit. The reasons for staying two nights were: I wanted to get to the park early in the morning I wanted to see the show after the park closed I thought it would be difficult to travel from Paris city center with suitcases. In the end, I was very glad I stayed two nights! Also, I was able to spend less than I would have spent around Disneyland. Shopping spots near Paris About 40 minutes by train from Paris, we head to "La Vallée Village" while enjoying the idyllic scenery. This is known as an outlet mall, with over 100 luxury brands lined up. The mall has an open and relaxed atmosphere. In addition to brand shops, you can get the latest items at great prices that only an outlet can offer, so it's a great place for shopping lovers. What I particularly liked was that end-of-season items were lined up at discounted prices. Even luxury brands that are usually hard to afford can be purchased at a great price at outlet prices. I enjoyed shopping carefully while trying on clothes. A sweet moment between shopping I was a little tired from shopping, so I stopped by "LADURÉE" in the mall. This is a famous macaron specialty store, and the gorgeous atmosphere inside the store is also exciting. To match the atmosphere of the store, there were colorful macarons lined up that made me want to take pictures, and I was impressed by their beauty. As a commemoration of my visit, the staff gave me a macaron. The fruit flavor is strong, and the sweetness that spreads the moment you put it in your mouth is enchanting. It was a happy moment to be able to eat such delicious macarons in Paris. Summary La Vallée Village is a great spot near Paris where you can enjoy shopping and gourmet food at the same time.
