Sti Fadma was one of the most adventurous parts of my trip to Morocco. Unfortunately, it was raining the day I visited, which meant the river was much higher than usual and some parts of the trail were closed. Even so, I still decided to hike up the mountain because I really wanted to see the waterfalls. The hike was definitely more challenging than expected, but the scenery made it worth it. We took a day tour with Morocco Outing, and our driver Mouchine was prompt and picked us up right on time at the agreed location. The van was spacious and very comfortable. Our first destination was the Ourika Valley, specifically Sti Fadma, where we enjoyed a lovely hike to some waterfalls. The views of the Atlas Mountains were beautiful, and our hike concluded with lunch by the river. The food was decent, though the area felt quite touristic. Next, we headed to the Agafay desert, making a stop at the Lalla Takerkoust dam to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. We finished our day with a thrilling quad ride through the desert during the golden hour. It was an enjoyable experience, especially if you like speed and stunning landscapes.

📍 Seti Fatma (Ourika Valley), near Marrakech A popular half-day "nature" trip. But here's why Seti Fatma is often a waste of time and money 👇 1️⃣ This isn't wild nature, but a tourist market Instead of a secluded valley, there are cafes every 10 meters, loud music, barkers, and crowds. The mountain and natural atmosphere is almost nonexistent. 2️⃣ The waterfalls are greatly overpriced The aforementioned "7 waterfalls" are small cascades. During the dry season, there's little water, and during peak hours, there's literally a line. It's doubtful that it's worth traveling from Marrakech for this. 3️⃣ Intrusive service = unnecessary expenses Local "guides" demand money without warning, restaurant prices are above average, and the experience is below expectations. Tourists often leave feeling like they've simply been "scammed." 📌 Bottom Line: Seti Fatma isn't a bad place, but it's overrated. If you're short on time in Marrakech and want a real experience, not the tourist trap, you can spend a day much better.
