Strahan travel guide and discussion

#2月好地方2025 Its beauty is not just the blue sky, soft white clouds, fresh air, and clear blue coast, the most beautiful thing is the slow and leisurely life. The capital city of Hobart has a small population. The entire city center is centered around the waterfront wharf area, which is the main tourist destination. There are restaurants serving delicious and authentic seafood, small stalls, and tour boats. The city center is not large and most attractions can be reached on foot, including Liverpool Street shopping district, St David Cathedral, Salamamca Place, Tasmania Museum n Art Gallery, etc. There are different murals and sculptures throughout the city, thanks to the University of Tasmania encouraging students to create designs. Diversified art is distributed in different places in the city. Some designs are very unique, making the eyes travel with every step.

Tourists do come here for the river cruises of Gordon River and the popular Macquarie Harblur Historic Site where this is a historic site and remains of the 19th century leftover settlements. We headed for the Gordon River Cruises due to the many reviews by friends and Google on the beautiful and breathtaking experience that this cruise provide, slowly curising over the water, while absorbing the sound of nature around you. #bucketlistreboot #tasmania #australia #cruises #historic #historicalsites #historicallandmarks #historicplaces #strahanvillage #rivercruises

Hunty Sand Dunes is one of the most Iconic natural wonders on the west coast of Tasmania, near Strahan. The magnificent flowing sand dunes and wet temperate rainforest are vividly mixed together, and it’s like a real-life version of “desert meets forest”. When you first arrive in the noble realm, you immediately feel the desolation, openness and wetness all appearing together, no wonder it will become a hotspot for photography in the West Coast region ~📸 The whole dune is mainly due to the super strong westerly wind in the area, which has created large dunes with super strong undulations over the years of carrying and accumulating sand grains. According to the information, some sand dunes reach up to thirty meters high, directly through the coastline, stepping up is very Explorer feeling - and the lush forests around Tasmania are completely different style, want to take unique scenery, do not miss! For fun, sandboarding is one of the popular activities! The slope is long and the space is large enough, choose your skateboard and enjoy the High burst sandboarding trip now. Sandboard rentals are easily available in the town of Strahan, and a half day is no problem. If you don't want to skateboard, start from the picnic area, slowly walk through the sand dunes and cross the beach, get enough points, and take a few breaths of fresh and salty sea breeze from the West Coast - super Chill route, perfect for beautiful pictures and photos! However, pay attention to the natural pristine nature of Hunty Sand Dunes, limited facilities, and strong enough sea breeze, walking on the sand will be quite strenuous, remember to bring enough water, sunscreen, sandproof equipment, their physical strength must be allocated, while playing while feeling the local wild nature In summary, the Hunty Dunes charm, more than spectacular! Especially with the sand dunes, rainforest and sea three extreme landscapes, the sensory stimulation is unbeatable! 🚩Henty Dunes Address: Henty Rd, Strahan TAS 7468, Australia Opening hours: Free admission all day

#australiatrip Fantastic tour of the Gordan River with their custom built vessel designed to have minimal impact on the environment (captain informed us when you switched over to the electric motors. In order for minimal impact along the national park banks ) Awesome view of the rainforest at heritage landing and Sarah island. We had a really great tour of Sarah Island. Our tour guide (Sarah!) was really knowledgeable and friendly and added nice humour within her presentation which is really engaging for everyone.
