An extremely scenic drive, the top attraction at the Great Ocean Road is without a doubt is the Twelve Apostles rock formations – in fact there are less than twelve, with the others having collapsed into the sea. It's beautiful long, sandy beach offers the opportunity for find your own peaceful spot. Take a picnic and relax to the sound of the waves crashing on the golden shore or hitting the rocks. The food is delicious especially the fruit juice. The burger included egg and bacon. Waffles and spaghetti were good too. Coffee is great as usual in Australia ☕️ Staff was friendly and provided good customer service. The cafe has a nice deco and vibe. You can choose to sit indoor or outdoor. The cafe characterized the laid back space that we were all enjoying especially on a holiday. Initially, it took us a while to figure out the cafe. It was just next to Oakley. Rating: 4 ⭐️

Such a lovely spot to start the morning in Torquay! The Salty Dog Cafe has a really relaxed, local beach-town vibe, and its location near the beach makes it an ideal stop before heading off to explore the Great Ocean Road. We ordered the egg, ham & relish muffin together with a hot latte. The muffin was warm, fresh and satisfying, with the relish adding a nice touch of sweetness and flavour to the egg and ham. Nothing overly complicated, just a really enjoyable and comforting breakfast. The latte was smooth and went perfectly with it, especially on a cool morning. I also liked the casual atmosphere of the cafe. There’s a good selection of pastries and sandwiches on display, plus some local merchandise and other items to browse while waiting for your order. It has that laid-back coastal feel that fits Torquay perfectly. Best of all, you’re right by the beach, so after breakfast you can take a short walk and enjoy the beautiful coastline and ocean views. We had gorgeous blue skies during our visit, which made the whole morning even better.
