Unforgettable Days in the Eternal City: Rome Trip Highlights & Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
From walking through ancient ruins to enjoying fresh gelato in bustling piazzas, Rome is an absolute masterpiece of a city. Everything feels like an open-air museum, and every turn off a main street leads to another historic monument or charming trattoria.
Highlights of the Trip
The Colosseum & Roman Forum: Standing inside the iconic Flavian Amphitheatre and strolling through the ruins of Palatine Hill feels like stepping directly into history. Tip: Book your entry tickets well in advance to skip the main queues!
Vatican City & St. Peter's Basilica: Michelangelo's masterpieces in the Sistine Chapel and the breathtaking scale of St. Peter’s Basilica are absolute must-sees.
Trevi Fountain & Spanish Steps: Visiting the Trevi Fountain early in the morning allows you to admire the marble details and throw your coin in without the heavy crowds.
Trastevere Neighborhood: Crossing the Tiber River to explore Trastevere in the evening is the best way to experience authentic Roman nightlife, cobblestone alleys, and fantastic pasta carbonara.
Travel Tips
Getting Around: Rome is incredibly walkable, but the Metro and bus network (Atac pass) works smoothly for longer trips across the city.
Dining: Opt for small neighborhood trattorias away from the main tourist squares for the best regional dishes and espresso.

Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy: I Highly Recommend Visiting at Dawn.
The Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi) is an iconic landmark of Rome and the most famous Baroque fountain in the world. With its beautiful sculptures, magnificent scale, and the legend that 'tossing a coin ensures a return to Rome,' it is a major attraction visited by millions of tourists every year.
Basic Information
· Location: Piazza di Trevi
· Completed: 1762
· Designer: Nicola Salvi
· Height: Approx. 26m
· Width: Approx. 49m
· Admission: Free
· Open 24 hours (The night illumination is particularly beautiful)
Origin of the Name
The most widely known theory is that the name 'Trevi' comes from its location at the intersection of **three streets (Tre Vie)**.
What to See
In the center of the fountain, **Neptune (Oceanus)**, the god of the sea, rides a massive shell chariot, guided by Tritons on both sides leading two seahorses.
· Calm seahorse: The tranquil sea
· Wild seahorse: The rough sea
These two seahorses symbolize the contrasting moods of the sea. The statues on the left and right represent abundance and health.
The Coin Tossing Legend
The tradition is to stand with your back to the fountain and toss a coin over your left shoulder with your right hand.
· 🪙 1 Coin: You will return to Rome.
· 🪙🪙 2 Coins: You will find new love or your current romance will blossom.
· 🪙🪙🪙 3 Coins: Marriage or a major wish will come true.
A massive amount of coins is collected every year, which are retrieved and used for charity work.
The Trevi Fountain in Movies
The Trevi Fountain has been featured as a backdrop in numerous films.
· Roman Holiday
· La Dolce Vita
· Angels & Demons
· To Rome with Love
The fountain at night, in particular, creates a truly cinematic atmosphere.
Travel Tips
· Visiting between 7–8 AM is great for taking photos as there are relatively few people.
· **At night (8–10 PM)**, the fountain is illuminated, offering the most romantic atmosphere.
· Since the area is prone to pickpockets, it is safer to wear your bag across the front of your body.
· Entering the fountain or dipping your feet in the water is strictly prohibited and can result in a fine.
Great Walking Courses Nearby (On Foot)
· Pantheon → Trevi Fountain (Approx. 7 mins)
· Trevi Fountain → Spanish Steps (Approx. 10 mins)
· Trevi Fountain → Piazza Venezia (Approx. 10 mins)
Touring these three spots together is an efficient way to explore the main attractions in central Rome.

Trevi
Trevi is an ancient hill town in the Perugia province of the Umbria region in Italy. It is situated on the lower slopes of Monte Serano, overlooking the Clitunno River plain, and lies between Foligno and Spoleto. Known as Trebiae during the Roman era, it was a key point along the Via Flaminia and is rich in historical relics. The town features medieval stone houses, narrow cobblestone alleys, the Romanesque cathedral of Sant’Emiliano, and Renaissance palaces, earning it a place among "Italy's Most Beautiful Villages." Surrounded by olive groves, Trevi is celebrated as the "Olive Oil Capital of Umbria," offering picturesque landscapes and a serene rural charm.

Italy🇮🇹 Rome, Trevi Fountain
May is a great month to visit Italy; it's already warm, but not too hot. There are a lot of tourists, and the line to the fountain is long. You can expect to wait about 20 minutes. Then they let a certain number of people in for 5-10 minutes, then kick them out.
